Denver Neighborhoods: Uptown

This formerly sleepy neighborhood just east of downtown is now home to some of Denver’s most eclectic dining options. 17th Avenue’s Restaurant Row is lined with restaurants and bars - many with outdoor patios. Uptown is also home to City Park, Denver's largest green space, which includes walking trails; tennis courts; baseball, football and soccer fields; two lakes; picnic sites; and playgrounds. You’ll also find two of The Mile High City’s favorite family-friendly attractions: the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. During the summer, enjoy free jazz every Sunday during City Park Jazz. Uptown is also a hub for Denver’s LGBTQ community, with multiple gay nightlife spots and the GLBT Community Center of Colorado.
