- It's a very good day to be playing mods today, I've got 3 mods that I think are absolutely INCREDIBLE and, of course, this is one of them!! I always thought the Boy 'n' Girl idea that sock.clip wanted to make a mod out of was super cool and I was really sad to know that it got cancelled, but now that it released I can safely say that it's one of the best mods I've ever played!! It's got an absolute TON of soul in every single way, the cutscenes were soo cute and really damn funny at times, I loved the rough lines done for them too, as if they were drawn in a children's book!! It's super cute and was honestly sooo fun to go through!! I LOVE the baby BF as well, he's super cute and the entire idea of them appearing in his room to make him fall asleep is the cutest thing ever!! Both of the characters have SO much soul as well, they just seem like the perfect characters for a cartoon or something like that, I can totally imagine watching late night Cartoon Network and seeing something like this on it, LOVED them!! All the songs were absolutely incredible as well, there's seriously not a moment when I wasn't bopping my head to them, all of them were FANTASTIC, there's genuinely not one bad thing I can say about this mod! And the art, oh my GOD it was soo good, I've never seen animations actually go back to the idle, maybe some other mod did that and I haven't noticed, but MAN it's the coolest little detail ever and it gives so much charm to the entire mod! And then that Monster song just blew me away, there's seriously nothing bad I can say about this mod, loved it all the way through, sock.clip and the team absolutely killed it again!! This channel consists of videos about modifications to a rhythmic video game (some of which I personally worked on) that range from slightly difficult to very hard for most players. Four arrows fly towards the screen forcing you to press them at the right time to the music. Hitting all the arrows in a song counts as a "Full Combo", which is very hard to do and takes a lot of time and practice to be able to do consistently and is the main gimmick of my channel, which I showcase in each video. I also include secrets and extra content that might’ve been undiscovered and show them off through instructional and entertaining ways that can be used as guides, as well as occasionally adding my own input on things happening in the video, all done through my creative editing style that focuses on being concise and transformative. In the descriptions I give my in-depth opinion on the video game as well as timestamps for each part of the video. Personal Headcannon: When it comes to the Lemon Demon part Boy is trying to be respectful because he feels his presence alone is intimidating, and Girl is throwing every intimidating threat she can at him to make sure he knows despite her cute appearance she is indeed a threat
IDK if it was intentional, but Girl's hairline looks like it's in the shape of a moon and Boy looks like a Sun with his hair style.

And Girl's hairstyle looks kinda similar to Jaiden from Jaiden Animations.

If you look, Girl bops her head every beat, whilst Boy bops his head every second beat. This is actually reminiscent of BF and GF from the base game since GF bops her head side to side every beat, and BF’s idle animation bops his head every second beat.
9:22 I love that BF’s face changed meaning he’s getting sleepy. Nice detail!
Another detail is when it switches camera focus to him during this part, the opacity of all the notes makes them a little more see through and faded.
Also that he starts using less notes than before the song repeats and the camera subdues it's zooming.
It also seems like his note speed is getting slower to signify he's getting more loopy.
The way the guy picks Boyfriend up and puts him back where his pillow is just gave me “Get the f back in bed” vibes

I know it’s like the smallest thing compared to the mod itself but I love the little thing with boy/girl’s animation when they’re in the middle looking back and forth at bf and girl/boy

Also how during Roughhouse (at 4:20) Girl even starts participating a bit by making some hands to start clapping to go along with the song.
I felt that in particular was a really nice touch.

I love that Girl makes bell noises in the cutscenes, and Boy makes cartoon noises. I just find that interesting.

Lots of points i notice about boy and girl is
1) in both of their respective songs, near the end they let boyfriend take over the singing. sorta like how your cool babysitter would let you do the things they know you’re good at
2) when singing together, (i think) they both take over two arrows each. i guess i’m just trying to point how in sync they are with eachother due to being twins
3) they both have powers where they can manipulate their physical forms. such as when boy stretched his arm to turn on the lights in sleeptalk and how girl forms those hands to clap during roughhouse. can forget them literally growing in size
4) their expressions. that’s it. it’s so goofy

@@msanonymoos6122It doesn't seem like it's the case. They don't share 2 arrows for each, but rather some notes are boy's, and some are girl's, but they appear on all arrows

Remastered music to perfect point of being recognizable but also enough to sound amazing in its new variant. In my opinion, a lot of remastered music I do not enjoy actually.
Mid-end game events, even if they’re small and subtle, they’re still all so cute and all so wonderful to find and pick out from the song. Such as Boy pointing to boyfriend instead of saying “Your move” as before, and Girl clapping along to the song

When the monsters in your closet like you and are a bit territorial to the new guy
+ thing you might not have noticed, in power hour when bf is getting tired, they slightly lower their voice a little both boy and girl
The fact this could give possible lore of who Monster could be is just great.
He’s a boogeyman. He haunts dreams to torture people. That is basically what a boogeyman is.
Although this makes the Corruption mod more complicated accidentally when you thing too hard about it.
Unless you think of it as the whole corruption thing being like a really long nightmare and the ending of the mod is Bf waking up Idk
Maybe the monster is a physical being that inflicts trauma in children, which causes the corruption in victims of it and it spreads regardless of circumstances

@@shortcircuitedd The “all just a dream” trope is usually done in a very poor manner and crashes the audiences willing suspension of belief by adding multiple layers to it (what’s the point of even getting invested to begin with if the author invalidates the adventures and experiences in universe), basically the trope is a death sentence to any piece of media for almost all conditions (the “all just a dream” trope works fantastically in OMORI because it happens early on and most people who start the game are aware it’s a dream already and it’s easy to figure out otherwise) so I can justly and sincerely doubt the creator of the corruption mod will fall for this when it’s been established to be a trope you should almost never use

Okay I have a theory of who boy and girl are:
They are kinda like beings that help children sleep at night. Keeping them happy and working them up until they get tired, and scaring off any nightmares the kid is having in their sleep (even if that means briefly showing their OTHER side)
There's actual lore about the origin and purpose of Boy and Girl within the mod itself. CommuinityGame actually went over them in his playthrough of the mod, so feel free to check that out as well.

I played this mod yesterday. It's pretty cute. The art direction is nice. It's another OC mod (Which we need more of) and it shows some love for Lemon Demon. Sock, Nate, and the others did a great job! Really love Roughhouse!

Give me more of this inject it into my brains. The final song in particular is a standout, it’s genuinely better than the Monster songs in vanilla. I love the character designs so much it’s just, ough, gimmie more of this.
I'm so glad to see this come back, it's so good and has been massively improved upon since the scrapped proof of concepts.
I like how the feel goes from siblings, to parents trying to convince a kid they’re sleepy, to trying to argue Lemon Demon out of the room.
Also, I vibe with Boy’s goofiness. He gets serious when needed, but mostly seems to want to have a good time.
It's the little nuances that get me. I take a moment crack my arms too when I hold them in a certain way for too long.
The tracks sound futuristic and the addition of the lemon being a nightmare, as well as there finally being a counter against *THE* lemon demon to begin with is both refreshing and therapeutic.
That was probably Boy cracking his neck; you can see him flexing his head side-to-side. Girl was just dusting off her dress. Took me a couple repeats to see them both.

@@newbaggett I crack my arms all the time. It comes with the weird combination of physical labor and computer work that my job demands; long periods of stillness followed by bursts of lifting, pushing, and the like.

Definitely up there in one of my favorite Mods ever made man... I freaking love when people make OCs for Fnf Mods, It's amazing how Sock has consistently made such amazing unique Characters, She's got such a wonderful imagination man, And every single one of her Characters are so likable! So much personality in all of them.
The Animation is so wonderful, The atmosphere is freaking amazing, The overall Story being about Boyfriend as a kid is just so dang cute~ Also the addition of Monster was a great choice! It may not make much sense continuity wise since he was made in the future by DD's experimentation's, But man was his Song amazing in this.
Prob my favorite Song we've ever gotten for Monster honestly, At least beat wise, Freaking was bopping my head way too much to Boogieman o/

Essentially Boy n Girl are god-like beings who were made to entertain, and since the beginning of time they've turned from entertainers to essentially babysitters. They're visible to only little kids and bad guys, so they helped to put baby BF back to bed, and made it their mission to take care of Monster.
There was a small bit of lore in the mod that wasn't included in the video, Boy and Girl are both some form of Deities that only appear to children and evil people, and if I remember correctly they went to BF's house because they felt something was off. After cheering him up, they thought they were fine to leave him be until Monster showed up, whom they promptly sent away with a scare (also sorta adds a bit of lore as to why Monster was specifically threatening BF and GF in the original game).
@@onionring1403 ohhhh ok. So they're like Fairy Godparents? I know that's probably a gross oversimplification but what I'm getting is the same basic principle of "Help upset kids be happy until they reach a certain age."
This is my favorite mod in a while, all the songs are good, visuals are great, it’s not quite up there as my top picks but in time I think it will be.
Super cool to see Sock making a mod again after the mess with Whitty! The music and animations are awesome and the cutscenes were silly!

I feel whats going on in this mod is BF is angry he has to go to bed and he starts out being a brat, and then these two... entities... I wanna say ghosts based on the ending decide theyre gonna have some fun singing with him. Then they realize they got him all rile up by the end of song 2... hence his spazzy moment where theyre just staring at him looking dumbfounded. Eventually "boy" gets an idea and whispers to "girl" (I dont know their names or missed them) an idea they have to calm him down, which ends up being a rap battle where they double team him and get to singing most of the night till he wears himself out... he conks out, they tuck him in and are about to call it a night then lemon comes in to ruin their hard work and they tell him to piss off before letting BF sleep in peace.
My interpretation of the mod, but that aside its beyond charming and tells a simple story and does it while having fun with it... I'm happy to watch and listen to this mod everytime it comes up on my feed or hits my playlist.

Dunno who these lil rapscallions are but I like to believe that when they were kids themselves they would struggle with sleep, so they like to help other kids struggling with rest by getting them tuckered out through playing whatever games they like to play. Monster *could* be imaginary, but it states that Boy and Girl can deal with monsters both real, and imaginary. Boy and Girl are just two shapeshifting babysitters. (I hope i remembered all that right.)
