Oh boy, a new thing to overanalyze because it's just that good! Mandatory warning, wall of text ahead. TL;DR, mod good, modders should be proud. To start with, every song in this mod is a BANGER. Knocked out of the park, all of them. I'll get into the specifics of each song, starting with Sleeptalk, but first I want to talk about the cutscenes. The animated cutscenes between each song are fabulous at what they do; they set the stage(BF is a tiny little child, he is going to bed) and set us, the players, up for what's coming next(FNAF lights shutdown sound, ominous shadow lurking). They're done in a very silly and low-effort artstyle that nonetheless fits the mood of the mod perfectly, especially when you realize that BF(our Player Character) is a child. These are basically his drawings and retelling of the events of the mod, likely to a very confused mother and father the next morning. Of course it's gonna look like it was drawn in crayon by a five-year-old, it WAS drawn in crayon by a five-year-old. And that's just the first cutscene; each one that follows continues to set the stage and our expectations expertly with the humor and silliness only a child can muster, and it's wonderful. Sleeptalk starts off this mod really well by taking the expectations the first cutscene set and running with them. The title, firstly, works perfectly. Inherently sleeptalking is not terrifying. It's a little weird, and maybe spooky at times, but rarely is someone sleeptalking going to elicit a scream. But to a child who may have never experienced or witnessed it before, it could easily come across as nerve-wracking because this PERSON IS TALKING IN THEIR SLEEP THAT'S NOT NORMAL. So to give this title to a song which starts so ethereally, that isn't creepy necessarily but definitely ominous is perfect. Then we have the twist: It's just Boy and Girl! This is the point where I'd like to shoutout whoever did the animations; there is an ANIMATION of Boy REACHING OVER to turn on the lights. It's short, it took me a couple watch-throughs to see it, but it's there. There was no need to put that there, but they did. They put in that effort and it SHOWS. There are cases for silly little details all OVER this mod; each note-pose has an animation to return to neutral, rather than just snapping back like 99% of mods do. I don't even know how you'd make that! Girl looks at whoever is currently singing during Roughhouse, The Demon twitches ever so slightly during his Game Over screen, the amount of love that is poured into this mod is evident from every angle. But back to the song: Sleeptalk's second half is slow, it's cozy, and it's comforting. Put simply; it's a lullaby. Sleeptalk is a lullaby meant to help lull BF to sleep. Because it's bed time! BF needs to go to sleep he's gotta big day tomorrow! Yet we reach the end of Lullaby, where there's a quick change in tone. The last few notes don't feel like they belong in this song, and to me I think that's because Girl isn't singing anymore, she's talking. She's asking BF "are you even tired yet?" BF, of course, says "not even a little bit." Cue the next cutscene, and it's Boy's turn to try and put BF to sleep, and he's going for the tried-and-true: Just tire the little fucker out. Roughhouse is not a song. Roughhouse is a CHALLENGE. This is Boy leveraging his faux-dad status to say "come on and fight me, little man," and BF takes the bait like a fish. This song is such a tone-shift from Sleeptalk's lullaby, because whereas Sleeptalk meant to put you at ease and ready to rest, Roughhouse wants you on your feet, out of your chair, come on little guy we're wrestling let's do this come on show me what you got. And by GOD does it get me on my feet. I listen to WAY more FNF music than is probably healthy and Roughhouse is the first song I've encountered to actually get me dancing. You can't hear this song and NOT jive with it, man! Then we get to round two, and this time Boy issues a challenge again with just a point of his finger; you first, come at me. There's more of the banger song, and then the next cutscene where Boy and Girl realize that BF is NOT tired. He's dashing around the bed more than Fox did in Melee and he is NOT slowing down, which honestly just make sense. Kids do NOT run out of energy fast when they're having fun or sense a challenge. Now the duo have no choice but to double down; double team BF until he submits to the demands of sleep. That leads us to Power Hour. Power Hour is much less a direct challenge and more a battle of endurance. Boy and Girl know that they'll win eventually; they just have to outlast the hyperactive child. There's not much to cover here that hasn't already been covered in Roughhouse, but I do want to say that this is easily my favorite song of the mod. Even the breaks between "phases" where Boy and Girl readjust themselves or BF yawns are on beat for the song, and honestly that neck-cracking Boy does is so satisfying. Not everyone loves that sound but it always makes me crack my own neck as if I'm going into battle myself and it's wonderful. Finally BF crashes and falls asleep, much to the relief of Boy and Girl, and we move on to what I personally think is the weakest song of the mod(which judging by how people are talking about it is a bit of a controversial statement), but is still a solid 8.5/10. I have never enjoyed a Monster song until I came to this mod; having lyrics isn't always bad but when 90% of them are just gore horror it turns me away from it. Boogieman, however, is a different story. There is still gore horror in this song(and it's the weakest point in the song imo), but most of the lyrics are actually good and the beat is absolutely BUMPING so I'm willing to give it a pass. Plus this redesign of Monster as a sort of nightmare-demon is much more interesting to me personally than "ooooh, scary lemon with teeth! ooooh!" The ending of Boogieman is probably my favorite part, because there's two separate ways it can be taken: the first one is Monster has come to scare this child, thinks he can take "the parents," realizes they are very much NOT normal human parents and that he CANNOT take them, and nopes out of there. The second one, which is my personal favorite, has Monster coming to scare the kid, thinking he can take the "parents," only to realize they are not the kid's parents, but apparently monsters that were already about to claim this kid, and he just politely leaves, like "my misunderstanding, sorry 'bout that, have a good day." I just find that hilarious. Overall, this mod is a solid 10/10 for me. The music is amazing, the stylistic choices perfect, BF is adorable, and his alarm clock says "BE:EP for the time. Absolutely genius, loved every second, and I hope the modders are proud because they absolutely should be for a mod of this quality. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Sleep talk is very UNDERRATED. It's a chilling song for me and I love it so bad, just makes me feel sad that people don't notice it that much and only like the other songs.

The songs are amazing Sleeptalk: for me, it's an 8 out of 10, it's not really a bop, but it's so calm and chill Roughhouse: is fire. 9 out of 10. Would listen to this forever Power-Hour: is really good. 9.5 out of 10. Boogieman: Like the lyrics, it fits Lemon Demon's demon personality. Another 9.5 out of 10. His design is good as well, I never tought I would see him as a spider like creature. Boy and Girl's horror form looks awesome. What can I say, this mod caught my attension, and it's songs are all a bop.

The transition into the dark greys and reds for the Boogieman segment wasn't necessary, but you still put in that detail, making the visualiser align with the music so well, I absolutely love it. Edit: My dumbass made a separate comment, but it's probably best to keep 'em condensed in one. Below is a mini-essay. Read at your own risk. I want to point out a little thing I absolutely adore about Sleeptalk- Maybe it's just me? But, in the first part Boyfriend sounds all confused, and curious, like he's mostly singing along on autopilot to this weird entity. All the way until 01:28, where you hear him perk up a little, and then you can almost hear the smile and excitement in his voice at 01:31. I have no idea how Sock managed to convey this "smile forming on someone's face" through audio, especially considering that these aren't singers you can just direct to smile at one point, these are sets of voice clips. Most definitely provided by real people, sure, but you get what I mean. I just love that little detail so much. Generally love how Sleeptalk feels like floating in the ocean, then abruptly switching to floating on a cloud, then Roughhouse is all about bouncing around, with the bed acting like a trampoline, Power-Hour basically just takes you into space, as you listen, and Boogieman drops you back into the room, which has suddenly gotten much more claustrophobic. It's not often that all sorts of imaginative visuals come to my mind, while listening to music of any kind, but this!! This is just outstanding, man- These tunes, plus character designs, as well as the concept of "the coolest babysitters in the world who are also deities that can do all sorts of shape-shifting stuff" is begging for a series or movie. The only "fault" with the soundtrack is lack of the little voice lines like "Poor boy.", or "Your move!", as seen (heard?) in the old scrapped version, but it'd probably stand out too much due to the voicebank changes for the characters, and it's not a big deal anyway. This soundtrack is still one of the best I have heard come out of a Friday Night Funkin' mod. ☆_☆
I have a distaste for fnf ever since it a influx of, let's just say, less than favorable people jump into it and the community was ruined for me. I'm glad theres a few mods that have as much effort as this one. It's great and I love the designs. You made me intrested in fnf again.

I honestly love the designs of these two. They have that vibe that I can only describe as a sorta mix between the artstyles for Beanworld, Weeble and Bob, Chalkzone, Stickin Around and the Life is Good Clothing line, (props to anyone who remembers at least one of those things I just mentioned). Not to mention its got a kickin soundtrack to go with it. Im glad to see that this once canceled mod was able to get an amazing resurrection. Major rescept to the devs.

Power hour and roughhouse are so good, I could imagine these songs as boss tunes for a platformer just as much as for a rhythm game. It's so funny neither of them is the "boss" tune for how good they are!

I haven’t had a mod’s ost I’ve been able to clearly say is my favorite but this one is all bangers. Boogieman and power play are definitely my 2 favorites of the ost. Absolutely love how both boy and girl (or whatever names they may have) work song wise in power play and boogieman is self explanatory.

This visualizer really is silly! Also, I love the two’s personalities! Girl tries to make him tired via singing calming songs, meanwhile, Boy tries to tire out BF with upbeat but crazy songs! And at the end, they use their combined abilities to banish Monster / Lemon Demon / Boogieman!

Ive been off the fnf fandom for a looong time and ive seen a lot of cool mods but THIS. I dont know why but it STUCK to me, its so charming and cute, the music is a banger, the gallery is so cool GODS this mod is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Even off the fandom I love listening to twinsomnia's soundtrack and watching the silly story with them.

I have never enjoyed a Monster song until I came to this mod; having lyrics isn't always bad but when 90% of them are just gore horror it turns me away from it. Boogieman, however, is a different story. There is still gore horror in this song(and it's the weakest point in the song imo), but most of the lyrics are actually good and the beat is absolutely BUMPING so I'm willing to give it a pass. Plus this redesign of Monster as a sort of nightmare-demon is much more interesting to me personally than "ooooh, scary lemon with teeth! ooooh!"
The ending of Boogieman is probably my favorite part, because there's two separate ways it can be taken: the first one is Monster has come to scare this child, thinks he can take "the parents," realizes they are very much NOT normal human parents and that he CANNOT take them, and nopes out of there. The second one, which is my personal favorite, has Monster coming to scare the kid, thinking he can take the "parents," only to realize they are not the kid's parents, but apparently monsters that were already about to claim this kid, and he just politely leaves, like "my misunderstanding, sorry 'bout that, have a good day." I just find that hilarious.
Overall, this mod is a solid 10/10 for me. The music is amazing, the stylistic choices perfect, BF is adorable, and his alarm clock says "BE:EP for the time. Absolutely genius, loved every second, and I hope the modders are proud because they absolutely should be for a mod of this quality.

The transition into the dark greys and reds for the Boogieman segment wasn't necessary, but you still put in that detail, making the visualiser align with the music so well, I absolutely love it.

I want to point out a little thing I absolutely adore about Sleeptalk- Maybe it's just me? But, in the first part Boyfriend sounds all confused, and curious, like he's mostly singing along on autopilot to this weird entity. All the way until 01:28, where you hear him perk up a little, and then you can almost hear the smile and excitement in his voice at 01:31. I have no idea how Sock managed to convey this "smile forming on someone's face" through audio, especially considering that these aren't singers you can just direct to smile at one point, these are sets of voice clips. Most definitely provided by real people, sure, but you get what I mean. I just love that little detail so much.
Generally love how Sleeptalk feels like floating in the ocean, then abruptly switching to floating on a cloud, then Roughhouse is all about bouncing around, with the bed acting like a trampoline, Power-Hour basically just takes you into space, as you listen, and Boogieman drops you back into the room, which has suddenly gotten much more claustrophobic. It's not often that all sorts of imaginative visuals come to my mind, while listening to music of any kind, but this!! This is just outstanding, man- These tunes, plus character designs, as well as the concept of "the coolest babysitters in the world who are also deities that can do all sorts of shape-shifting stuff" is begging for a series or movie.
The only "fault" with the soundtrack is lack of the little voice lines like "Poor boy.", or "Your move!", as seen (heard?) in the old scrapped version, but it'd probably stand out too much due to the voicebank changes for the characters, and it's not a big deal anyway. This soundtrack is still one of the best I have heard come out of a Friday Night Funkin' mod. ☆_☆

I honestly love the designs of these two. They have that vibe that I can only describe as a sorta mix between the artstyles for Beanworld, Weeble and Bob, Chalkzone, Stickin Around and the Life is Good Clothing line, (props to anyone who remembers at least one of those things I just mentioned).
Not to mention its got a kickin soundtrack to go with it. Im glad to see that this once canceled mod was able to get an amazing resurrection.

I haven’t had a mod’s ost I’ve been able to clearly say is my favorite but this one is all bangers. Boogieman and power play are definitely my 2 favorites of the ost. Absolutely love how both boy and girl (or whatever names they may have) work song wise in power play and boogieman is self explanatory.

This visualizer really is silly! Also, I love the two’s personalities! Girl tries to make him tired via singing calming songs, meanwhile, Boy tries to tire out BF with upbeat but crazy songs! And at the end, they use their combined abilities to banish Monster / Lemon Demon / Boogieman!
