I dont think people have forgotten retro games. Id say they way better than the new games we have today
Considering how godawful modern gaming has become. Everything feels like an online casino with occasional game mechanics. I haven't really touched a modern or AAA game since Spider-Man 2, Baldur's Gate 3, God of War Ragnarok and Alan Wake 2. It's getting to a point that retro handhelds are going to be able to run most of my indie library soon.

It’s a great system! I love the amount of systems/streaming games it can handle. I love the screen quality and it’s very comfortable to hold for longer gaming sessions. Would definitely recommend

will this connect to Steam very well? I mean really bloody well with no lag ~ just within my room near my PC. its the only one that looks suitable for my big hands!
My problem with this is that i cant charge it and play it on my tv at the same time. Why is it so hard to put an extra usb c port or a mini hdmi port. That alone sways me toward the retroid 4
There is a really cheap dongle which has both USB-C input and HDMI

I just got mine and trying to do cloud gaming but my RT and LT won’t register at all, anyone have a fix?
Won't register input at all, or just won't register as analog/linear input - if the latter, may require going into Android settings and switching from NS mode to Xbox mode...

any problem with saving game progress? i have problem with that on my anbernic RG35xxh while playing GOW, pokemon and GTA... but wierd thing is monster hunter got no problem with saving game progress
Ive heard this is caused by using s cheap memory card or a stock unbranded one.
Seconding what’s already been said, it’s most likely the sd card that came with it. If you copy your roms over to a new SD card that should clear that up.
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, if it’s the roms on the stock cards can be faulty files, but the save issues stem from the SD card
Are the emulators already installed? Or you have to do it on your own? I mean like 3ds etc

Depends on where you buy from, i know for sure the alliexpress one comes with allot of yhe older consoles games on an sd card

I don't trust Anbernic anymore.. i just ordered a RG35XX the purple one and its stuck on the start up screen. About to get my refund
The problem is actually with the stock sd card (if you didn't know, sorry) not with the console itself. I had the same problem with mine, but I just bought a better card and uploaded a new os onto it.

All these retro handhelds come with crappy SD cards.
Any new handheld you get. Clone the card that came with it onto a quality card.
Sadly, it's standard practice with three things.
My Funkey S died in less than a week due to a corrupted SD card. _Right_ after I get it set up *just* the way I like.

No one in their right mind would answer this question here, because you might be from Nintendo's legal team. Also, this is the internet - if you have to ask, then you clearly haven't tried at all or you live someplace where your government heavily restricts what you can access, so you should be searching 'retro game download', or 'VPN download', depending on relevance...

@@MazenArafat If she don't like the 2D games because they're 2D, no amount of resolution increases will help, but if she also ain't feeling the 3D systems it can play, worst case scenario is that retro game design is too different from the loot-box/microtransaction/aimbot/grindfest that is modern gaming to resonate with her, and you'll just die a little inside if that's the case...

I also debated for about 2 weeks and went with the rp4 pro. Its pocketable and looks a lot better in my opinion. Just waiting on shipping now.
Depends on if you feel the screen, ergonomics, and slight price advantage are more important than the superior controls, processing power, and Wi-Fi (pretty significant if you plan on any game streaming) of the RP4pro...

@jimbotron70 Those aren't the only factors. Not by a long shot. Ones portable and pocketable the other isn't. Oled doesn't make it better it just helps its chances.

Bought myself one. Wanted it for Android gaming as well as Streaming with PS RP and Game pass and ofc, emulators. Oh and that OLED screen tho.
As much as I like using my iPad and all, and my OP7TP phone gets very hot so I think it's time I buy myself a nice Android handheld. Thought about going for the Steam Deck but too big lol.
it's too big IMO, wish they'd make something like 405m with this more powerful chip. staggered trigger buttons are nice though

Just buy a raspberry pi 4 or orange pi 5 it takes about 20 minutes to set up and you get your own emulation device and you get to learn a bit of coding and trust you don’t have to know anything to set it up they’re countless videos and tutorials online even on the pi websites
