    I had picoway to remove microblading from 2018, and 8 months post procedure my red brows are almost completely faded. It was 750 for the picoway at my local cosmetic laser dermatology clinic though so the out-of-pocket cost is definitely no joke! I share a progress video as well, in case anyone is interested.

    I’ve spent more than 2k (13 sessions) of saline removal and the ink is still not totally gone but it’s very faded (I started off super dark). Pros of saline removal was no hair loss. Downside is that it’s much slower than laser. Good luck with your journey!

    • @lcmojo

      Thank you for sharing your story and your wishes! I've heard saline removal can be a bit painful. Maybe even more painful than a round of laser without any numbing cream. 😐

    • @thegoogs
      @thegoogs 10 місяців тому

      @@lcmojoBoth spots I went to did use numbing, and I didn’t find it to be that painful - it was a different type of pain, similar to the pain of getting them done. It took longer, and uses a microneedling tip to open the skin, apply the saline (that’s the part that burns for a few seconds). It was recommended to me for Asian skin given lasers can be hit or miss. I’d say on the plus, I didn’t lose hair and have seen progressive lightening. But I have absolutely sunk $100-200 per session into this, and it’s been a 2 year journey so far. They’re finally at a point that’s not bad anymore, but the tails of my old (disastrous) brows are still there. After all this, I should have just done an eyebrow hair transplant - after adding up how much I’ve put into my brows, that literally would have been cheaper, lol! My heart goes out to you as you figure out what to do next!

    This is definitely a process. I use a Benzocaine/Lidocaine/tetracaine 20/[0/10 for my patients. It is compounded just for them and it works well. I have a PicoWay and Candella recommends not “double tapping” or hitting the same spot twice as this will tend to over treat and cause burning and blistering which can lead to scarring. Most of my patients require 1-2 treatments. The PicoWay treats ALL colors effectively. We can also numb you with injected lidocaine. The needle is very very small and works quit well without waiting 30+ minutes for a topical to be effective. Best of luck to you. Brows, eyeliner and lip tattoo removal.

    Can you post a video a couple of weeks from now? I want to see how long it takes for the redness to go away and follow up on your journey! I have already spent $150 on saline removal and mine has lightened by a lot in one session, however it is till noticeable. I think one session of something would seal the deal, but saline removal sucked. It was like microblading all over. It took about 1 hour and at the end she puts salt on a fresh would.. SO MUCH FUN. I will say that the healing time was 1 week and my skin was fine right after. That was the only benefit to it. The other option I was looking into was Rejuvi which is an acid removal process. I'm only looking into PICO treatments because I've seen others report that it is the least painful or the shortest amount of pain. I'm just not sure I want to endure a few weeks/months of redness. It would be a constant reminder when I look in the mirror. Ugh.

    I am day four into the second attempt removal of my eyebrows which had already iron oxidised they are so pink and I am devastated that the second laser is still not making a difference I expected and told would work.
    The only success story I have that is working in the interim is and one I discovered myself is I am using a colour corrector, cc cream on the eyebrows. It’s a white cream which cancels the red considerably and makes them look much much less pink and more natural but I have to do this every day I leave the house or it looks hideous

I want to do a deep dive into the laser systems that are out there and what each of them can do for us depending on the situation we may be facing (black/blue/green vs. red/yellow/orange). I recently booked a consultation with a new place that may be able to remove that red ink for me. As usual, I'll be probing them with hundreds of questions lol to gauge how much experience/knowledge they have doing laser removals. I'm not going to let someone else take another $200-$250 from me for nothing...

      I had over 7 sessions with pico on the 1064 setting and they were BRIGHT red and every session they stayed the exact same. It was a year and $1000 later until I got frustrated. It wasn’t until I said I wanted the 532 setting and she said they don’t use that setting on the face because it can cause permanent hair loss and at the point I was already losing hair and told her let’s just try it I don’t care. One session later on the 532 setting the red is completely gone. Pico has that setting I would ask!

      @@Biancastafford Unfortunately my local place only has the 755nm setting for the Picosure. The other 1064 and 532 settings are add-ons they would have to purchase separately to attach to their Picosure system. Why do they not have it? My best guess is that they cost an arm and a leg. 😖 Glad you had a successful outcome with the 532!! 🤗

I can see you have the same experience. So, I would like to ask you a question. Did the gray ink left after the first session disappear after the second session? I'll need 532 laser in a couple of months, but I don't know if 532 affects grays as well. I really hate seeing both colors on my eyebrows at the same time. Your answer will be of great help. Thank you in advance. :)

      Hi there 🙋‍♀️! So for my 1st and 2nd session, the 755nm wavelength was used and I would say that the 1st round was pretty successful in terms of getting rid of the gray but I needed 1 more round to clean up some leftover ashy gray. Now I'm working on removing the red with the 532 wavelength. I will be seeing someone else soon. Crossing fingers 🤞!! If you still have some gray left, I would recommend that you do another session using the 1064 or 755 but not 532 (for rainbow colors like red, yellow, etc...). Take a deep breath! We are all in this together 😉 and we'll get it done. I plan on putting another video together to give some updates and give a bit more nuggets of information on the lasers and what each one of them can accomplish in terms of the ink color each one of us may be stuck with. Based on my research and my journey, I would say find a place with a laser that has the 1064nm or 755 nm wavelength to get rid of the black/dark ink. After 1-3 sessions, you will probably be left (unless you're lucky) with either red or yellow ink. This can be resolved with a 532nm laser (the number of sessions that will be needed will vary from person to person).

    I am going through a similar situation. I had powder brows done yesterday (“semi” but truly permanent). They are massive and extremely dark, lopsided, and several mm uneven in the center. I truly look like a clown or something from a horror movie. I’ve called all around town, everyone says it’s permanent and there’s nothing they can do. Some places out of town tell me do an emergency saline removal ASAP. Other ppl say no don’t do that! Let it heal for a month then do laser! Yet another place said to do an abrasion removal, and that lasers can cause cancer. I’ve had panic attacks multiple times in the last 24 hours. I can’t sleep, I cry each time I look in the mirror. I don’t know how to get rid of these. I think it’s incredibly sad that no one can offer solutions with evidence based outcomes. The information on the web and amongst “professionals” is contradictory. This is by far the worst mistake I’ve made in my life.
    Thank you so much for documenting your story. I hope you keep us posted. Best of luck- truly- trying to fade the discoloration. I fear that will happen to me too if I go with a laser. I’ve heard horror stories: skin turning orange, yellow, blue, or green. 😔
    Never ever again will I do something like this 🥹

      Hi Stacie, I'm sorry to hear about your experience and that you feel your new eyebrows have changed your look. Take a deep breath and know there is always a solution for every problem. You can fix this but you will need to have courage and patience (build up that same courage you had to get them done in the first place) as this is a journey but YOU WILL get there. What I know and learned through my research is that there is no evidence that laser tattoo removal does directly cause skin cancer. What laser can do, however, is make the skin more photosensitive after treatment, leading to an increased risk of sun damage but with the right sun protection you should be fine. Take your time in figuring out your next step because you need to make it right now to get the removal results you are looking to achieve. Good luck to you. 💕

      Thank you for the response! Yes, I'd never heard of laser causing cancer either- it sounds a bit outrageous. A tattoo artist who wanted to do an acid removal is the one who told me that. I do believe laser will be the safest, most effective option. I wonder why some people's skin becomes discolored after laser. It's day 3. I'm not having constant anxiety, I'm learning to just breathe and accept what's happened. I think I'll make it through the next month until laser, but wow those first two days I was in complete shock. I still can't believe people who are licensed can mess up a person's face so badly. But life moves on. Best of luck to you too! I'll be checking back for your updates!@@lcmojo

      Hi there! How have you been doing with your brows situation? Any updates you can share with us? Just letting you know that my Part 4 video was just released and I'm sharing quite a number of updates with you all! 😉

      @@lcmojo so- brows calmed down after a few weeks. I actually cancelled my laser removal appt! My eyebrows are definitely not the most ideal shape- they could be so much better. However, I see so many horror stories /pictures about laser removal. Eyebrow skin turning orange-red, brows bleached and falling out, etc. Mine ultimately faded to something I feel like I can live with for now. Oh! I applied retain-A religiously for a month- I do feel that helped to fade/peel some of the skin. Looking forward to watching your update!

    Hi. I am Som from Kolkata India. 27 years old. I have done micro blading A year back. Now it looks a bit odd. I want to get it removed. i visited a clinic today, they are not sure but suggesting me Q Switch Laser. They do have Hollywood spectra Laser as well. please help me. If you know anything about the removal.
    Btw i have dark black eyebrows as of now from microblading. which is somewhat turning greenish blue.

      Hi Som from India! The Q switch laser should be just fine. Just make sure they use the 1064nm wavelength to start off with removing the darker/black ink. Then (as explained in my Part 4 video), have them move on to the 532nm wavelength for your 2nd or 3rd session if you'll need to go back to remove any red/orange tones that may appear after the black is removed.

      @@lcmojo Ma’am i am so grateful that you are helping me. That you replied so soon. I am in such a dilemma. my mind is always going in circles about the laser removal. Like should i do it or not? will it affect my skin? will it burn? will my hair be gone, forever, which is really important!!!
      my mom too has done it. but she is fine with her microblading. she insists me not doing the removal, and says i will regret it later. She too have visited the clinic with me today!!!
      but ma’am thank you. 🙏🏻 we are together in this. 🧿

      Your eyebrows may get frosty like mine did but in about a week or so they had darkened again. My part 4 video shows the before and after.

    Im about to get mine removed tomorrow, they're brown. Try shaving your eyebrow hairs, youll need more sessions because the hair is blocking the laser.

      Both lasers? What laser is needed besides picosure?

    • @lcmojo
      @lcmojo  10 місяців тому +2

      So, the 755nm Picosure laser removed my black ink (discussed in Part 2) but because now I am left with red undertones, I need to find someone with the 532nm laser. The place I've been going to only has the 755. I plan on putting another video together to give some updates and give a bit more nuggets of information on the lasers and what each one of them can accomplish in terms of the ink color each one of us may be stuck with.
