In my reactions, I show you my initial reaction (or fangirling) to music videos/songs. I sometimes also comment about technical aspects, or the production of the video if anything such stands out to me. I am not trying to delve into meanings, I only want to share my initial thoughts and explain how I think they achieved things and why, in my personal opinion, they work or don't work.
I give honest but always respectful feedback and would never trash talk or hate on any group/artist/filmmaker/song/etc., if my comments come off like I am, that is not my intention. This is all for fun and education's sake so please don't take it too seriously. 😊

the video is full of references to mydays and day6, the world may collapse, but YK will keep singing. and we are very proud of him and of his entire journey.

So… damn… I’m really proud of him.
I have watched the video probably 20 times already, but I cannot tell you what I think is happening in the video because my brain stops functioning when I see blond Young K in those outfits with all the layered necklaces and wristbands and earrings. No one is allowed to look that good in red lighting. And on every watch when he gets wet, I go feral and I black out hahaha.
The only thing I get from the video is that it's apocalyptic themed. He said is somewhere that the MV is about that he keeps singing for us even when the world is ending, until the very last moment. I also got super emotional while watching the video. Partly because I thought he's saying that in terms of day6, our world is ending (Sungjin is gone, he is going to military soon and who knows what happens with contract renewal) and he keeps singing until the very end, for us. Wow I just made myself sad again. The combination of thirsting through the tears is something only young k can make me reach.
He made a bunker for the plants. Plants = leaves = leaf = mydays. He's trying to protect Mydays even if it looks hopeless. He reluctantly pressed the button cuz he's like after he presses that it will really signal the end. And then he started singing cuz he's like, this might be the last, we might not survive this but I'm here smiling with you... until the end. And they survive, yayy!

I literally feel you! I was teary since I have known that he will have solo album like I'm so overwhelm with him 🥺 We all know that he always work really hard for Day6 he work everyday just because he want to make MYDAYs happy to see him. I'm so so sooooo pround and much more love him in everyday 😭😭

Who knows what's really going on in the minds of the MV directors, but to me, it's kind of a WALL-E x Armageddon kind of thing. He is in a bunker and he knows the meteors are coming, and he's * guarding * and cultivating plants. Seems like he is making sure there will be life to plant after the chaos like in WALL-E. MyDay symbol is a leaf/plant, so there's kind of a message there that he's protecting MyDay to the end. ;_; I think the red button is just one of those emergency alert buttons, perhaps to trigger the bunker's security features so they can survive.
Since there were also explosions in the band scene set, perhaps the water is from sprinklers, you know, the security features kicking in? LOL. The fan was probably just for the cool visual. LOL.
I feel like the little scene at the very end means he survived, and I have a feeling it will segue into his 2nd MV for the sub-title track that he is releasing next week.
As someone else has explained the plants is the fans, when the earth was on fire he pushed the button to turn on the sprinklers to spray water and protect the plants from fire promising to hug them till the end 😂❤️
