Check out this cool reissue of the Esci, Revell and Dragon kit!
Another thing I love about your channel is some honest reviews of kits. The good and the bad. Thanks again.
Thanks Ken!
Yes, would love to see more of the Large scale models. The big kits are great for detailing each piece. Nice Job!!!
Sweet, stay tuned, I have a 1/16th kit on the near horizon
Thank you for this great video and thank you especially for not just showing what was in the box! This whole series of vintage Italeri 1/9 motorcycles is absolutely brilliant! I really want to build this now! :o)))
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice job on the painting and weathering on the KettenKrad Sdkfz2 H101.This kit is perfect for a diorama based on a scene from Saving Private Ryan when they defend a stone bridge in Edinburgh Germany during the battle of Edinburgh.
Thanks, and yes it is.
Nice build. I’ve got a picture of my grandfather standing in a captured one in the Western Desert in North Africa in WW2!
Thanks, cool memory!
Wow! I've had this kit for years and didn't know how to go about painting it and weathering. THANKS MAN! I've also got many of the other 1/9 Esci Motorcycles and they are impressive kits as well.
Thanks for watching and Happy New Year from hpiguys Workshop!
Wow! Beautiful job on this Kettenkrad! Love the weathering and distressing!
Thanks for watching the review and leaving a nice comment!
Hey Chris! Congrats man on having this work posted on FSM's Gallery!! well done brother!!
Thanks Cliff!
Another great build. Would love to have this to drive down woody paths. Nice outdoor scenes, looks like it is driving down a frozen creek.
Thanks!
Released in January viewed in June - your videos are timeless (as are your subjects).
Thank you for sharing...
Thanks man!
Looks amazing ! Very realistic ! Great job ! Congratulations ! 👍😊
Thank you man!
just bought this beauty , cant wait to build it . thanks for the tips
Enjoy, it's a nice kit.
Finished the build and primed. Thanks for the inspiration. The Italeri 1.9 scale Kubelwagon was just delivered, i am going to need a bigger house
Cool!
Wow, what a beast, great review and build as always! Thanks for sharing Chris!....Bill
I tell ya what, when you layed that down in the natural diorama outside, it just looks fantastic, a couple of shots looked absoulutely like the real thing, love it!
Thank you very much!
Chris the gas tanks are in liters. 21 liters is about 5.5 US gallons, the size of our gas cans. I have the old ESCI kit in my stash. I was aching to break it out after watching another great review. But I resisted! Still trying to finish off the 30 builds that are put together but not painted.
Haha, yeah, I misspoke, 21 gallons, that would be a big tank.
@@hpiguy See Chris I pay attention to your videos. I always learn something.
Thanks as always for watching Clay!
I've never seen such a cool model 👍
It's pretty cool! I'll have to do the WLA or BMW with side car this year to give it a companion.
I remember seeing the old Esci kit of the Kettenkrad in a Brisbane hobby shop in 1975, always wanted one.
They are fun!
I have the BMW with side car I hope to get to some time.
Nice vid I am hoping that Tamiya will bring a new Kettenkrad out in 1/16 and 1/35. I am half way through building this kit and I know its old but the fit of parts and seem lines makes this kit a real chore. Did you see Jeff Shui has just release a very nice figure for it.
Beautiful work, just bought one on the strength of your review.
Hope you enjoy it!
Wow! Big Bold Beautiful Build! Awesome paint & weathering too. Great job & video as always. Thanks Chris and Happy New Year!
Thank you!
I would enjoy more of how to videos, i think you have a lot of little tricks to make things easier. Great video as always, keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Great video and amazing result 👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
nice, love to see more videos like this, with the larger scale
Hopefully I'll get to one of the big bikes again this year.
Really impressive and huge model. It's on the wish list... Nice build as always!
Thanks Jefferson!
Very nicely done model !!!!
Thanks Niels!
what a cool build in that scale and the still pictures outdoors makes almost look real, I really like to see you do the BMW w/side car
Thanks Craig! It's fun!
Such a cool build. Great looking model.
Thanks Rich!
Fantastical Chris!can't wait for your next build. 👍
Thanks Hulk, 68 Chevelle next, and a live steam engine build review too!
This kit is cool!! I definitely see one in my future. I’m currently working on a Corsair and I got a cutaway hull panther for Christmas. This will be my 2019 third build. Nice job Chris I really like this one.
Thanks Brian, enjoy your kits!
Fantastic job, ol' boy! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Kevin!
Remove the two little boxes under the dash panel, and that switch plate on the right fuel tank. These were post war modifications on the kettenkrad that ESCI (the original model company) mistakenly copied in the model.
I'm offended that you can build a better model than me ...I'm also offended that it's 1/9 scale .....whaaaattt awesome mate !! Seriously impressive, you could put a GI Joe in this bad boy
Thanks a billion Gary! I'll work harder to offend you on the 68 Chevelle next!
Very nice looking model.
Thank you John!
Love it i hope that you will build some more italeri kit
I've done at least one more, a biplane recently.
Great job Chris that looks real!
Thanks Paul!
looks really good!!! i have this model in my stash. engine color looks good too.
You could paint the engine Reseda Grün as that is a standard colour for all sorts of machinery.
Beautiful. Next big build should be a Space 1999 eagle.
I've got the big cargo hauler one, I'll think about it!
Thank you for the video. I'm working on this kit right now. I love it!!
Hope you enjoy it!
That is a very cool beast!
Thanks Man!
Awesome build Chris!!!
Thanks!
That is one fantastic kit well done it looks realy great.
Thanks James!
I'd get one just for the engine. Great job,Chris.👍👍
It's pretty sweet that's for sure. And stupid me never got a shot of it wired before I glued it into the frame!
Like you said,it's a model in itself.
Very cool.👍
wow what a amazing job!
Thank you so much!
Looks like a great kit. Looks great
It's a very nice kit!
Very cool Chris that is massive
Thanks Jeff!
Out of all the releases, the Dragon release includes a vinyl driver figure
Cool!
This video just came up on my recommended list.
I swear, that looks like it's made of metal and rubber. Your weathering and chipping is dead on, as convincing as any I've ever seen. The outdoor shots reminded me of the drive video of a real one done by Ian McCollum of Forgotten Weapons.
Are you *sure* you didn't take a real one and use the "Honey I shrank the kids!" dingus on it? ;>)
Fantastic work. Great video
Thanks Lord Mellis!
Love it :)
When I saw the thumbnail for this I thought the hipguy doesn't - sorry, hpiguy ;) doesn't do small models, I've got the 1/35 DasWerk/Dragon kit and it is quite small. Then I saw that it was a 1/9 scale and it all clicked :)
I'll build anything, from any genre and scale!
Mega Good Work,Sir
Love this build!
Thanks, me too!
Absolutely Stunning Chris, KUTBW n God Bless All
Thanks Gary!
I never build models, but i might make this one
Enjoy!
Some tanks would be cool in this scale
Awesome ! Build Cris
Thanks Charles!
Totally awesome and I wonder if an action figure will fit in it appropriately? And the helmets with the strapping inside way cool. Awesome build 👍👍
Thank you!
Great built man..my long time dream kit but expensive.
Yes, gotta snag them when they are reissued right away or they jump back up in price.
Damn that's neat model!
It's cool Seth!
Varry interesting and nice work awesome man
Thanks Philip!
Very, very nice.
Thank you Dan!
Hey Chris have you considered doing a review on the 1/32 scale Boeing B17G Flying Fortress by Mobius Models?.This Kitts a monster! With a wing span of about 5 feet and a 350 parts count!.The price will set you back though;the kit costs $350.00 to $450.00 MSRP(Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price).
Sure, if you buy it and send it over I'll review it. ;)
Awesome build chris.....how much does one 9f those go for.....may have to grab one of those.
My Chevelle our for delivery from amazon a cant wait to see this thing
It's in paint today. :)
fanfriggintastic. astounding build man. now what were you saying about a Wla? would love to see that.
Thanks George, yeah, maybe I'll put the WLA kit of this size together some day. I also have the BMW cycle with side car in this scale.
This is fantastic, I have this and the wla and soon I'll get the bmw outfit , so watching your efforts is almost like cheating but in a good way,😎😎😎😎
Enjoy, they are great kits!
Hard to find good quality kits like that.
Just google the title and it will come up.
amazon has it
68 Chevelle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omgggggg I can’t wait ow boy ow boy I need pop corn 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Yup, starting that today.
that’s badass 🤘🤘👌
Thanks!
definitely on my wish lish and thats a lot of model for the price
It's cool!
I used to have one by esci? But over the years, it eventually fell apart...maybe time for a new one?
Yeah they've been repopped by a few companies.
Nice
Thanks!
Great job!!! Have ever built an airplane/warbird?
I have a video of an F15 build on the channel but I don't build many.
Nice.
Thanks Bill!
I just finished a 1/72 Kettenkrad....whew. I’m going to go big on the next one.
Awesome
Sweet
Thanks!
Show me how to make that caterpillar thank you.
Where did you get the kit?
Very impressive. I almost spit my beer all over my phone and island on that "deez nutz" comment.
Haha "Got Em!"
You've been watching skylar's Saturday live feeds......his favorite saying....LOL
Does 1:6 action figures fit in these 1:9 kits?
No, the dolls will appear too big for the vehicle.
So they had registration number?
Germans are big on rules.
Do the large scale kits
Thanks!
приклеенная лопата - это вишенка на торте . про щели тогда и заикаться не стоит
Nice! But to to big for my collection.
Thanks!
талант испортить модель в таком смотрибельном масштабе
