I also wanted to ask if your Kubelwagen represents a restored vehicle in a private collection? I'm asking because of the odd choice of painting the door handles, windscreen frame, wheel hubs etc... in black, and the silver MG 42 muzzle and ammo drum.
I have the original Esci kit and while the kit is impressive given it's age, the one thing that bothers me is the wheels. The tires are too thick and the diameter of the wheel too small. If you compare it to actual photos of wartime Kubelwagens or to other existing kits, it is quite noticeable.
Watching you build this. Reminds me why I will no longer purchase any Italeri products. Short shots, poor fitment, lack of any detail in instructions. You always manage to overcome these obstacles and put out a fine presentation. KUTGW
I Had the same issues with this kit, poor fitment of parts, nothing fitted, nothing lined up. never again, I'm sticking to Tamiya. looks ok now but full of superglue and filler.
Nice build!
Thanks
Wow large scale model with big details. Love the working suspension and soft top.
Yes that's nice but horrible to build. and poor instructions..
thanks.
That is too cool buddy!! Great job 👍
Thanks
Very difficult kit 😬 I had this one to
At that big 1:9 scale it's ideal to make it an RC car by "borrowing" some parts of an actual RC car.

Superb model!!
Thanks 👍

sorry for the late response.
But no, it is not a specific model. but was annoyed by the frame of the roof. and I wasn't paying attention.
@@DutchScaleBuilder No problem. It's different, but not in a bad way. It's a very clean build! Looks sharp.

I find exactly the same is also my last for now. Got me pretty annoyed during the build, trying to make the best of it.
Thanks
