Paul, you represent an era gone by. A time when you had to be handy, ingenious, practical, essentially...smart! I love your vids. Please keep them coming! Cheers
@@fishfire_2999 and the most practical. Most of the mini houses are passion projects and hobbies, and end up being too complicated. Paul Elkins, however, spends the time making and trying different designs instead of making and polishing just the one.. it's like learning the 1000 ways not to make a lightbulb. His designs are practical, quick, and cheap. Insulation panels, corrugated plastic sign material, zip ties, and tape. He makes full on vehicle shells from them and they're durable and lasting. Great stuff. I think I'll make one of his coroplast paddle boats for summer and his insulation teepee tent for winter camping in Canada.
fantastic... No solar lights in the ceiling. I always thought about putting bags of leaves around such a structure or structures for more insulation. Your an amazing guy.. Keep up the good work.
the minute I saw this in my feed I was just like 'YES HE MADE ANOTHER ONE'. I love your work so much, Paul. You're such a creative person, and you make my day. Along with some pretty epic stuff.
I really like this...simple design, functional , efficient and could be mass produced quickly and set up where needed in a hurry. Lots of potential with this one.
Paul, you continue to amaze me with your inventions. You did it again. You sold me on coraplast and I keep fabricating little projects as a result. Much cheaper than plywood and all I have to do is wait for a campaign to be over with. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely the best use of campaign money yet! Just think of how many homes could be crafted if politicians had the same humanity and empathy as you do. you are a gift to this world. My great respect to you, beautiful human. Niitsiniyitaaki!
I bought the coroplast emergency shelter design and i'm still coming back to see what you come up with.. I love watching the creativity. It's inspiring me a lot I'm working on transforming the inside to slightly resemble and airplane because my dad was a pilot and always said I'm proud of you. I live in this camper and to have his words over my life is amazing and thank you so much for freeing me up to live in this luxury.
long time follower. Great video, will soon try my hand at this one. Ordered miss Sally plans hope to have her in the water next month with a few changes. T.U. SIR
Paul we are at a time where the middle clasa is disappearing. No one ever talks about hard working people that work low end jobs. I would have been able to live in these tiny shelters when i was young know problem. If some of the older people that have yards would let a young person live and build some kind of shelter in there yard they could have a place to call home. Not have to work 70 hours a week just to pay rent. Keep doing what you do. Maybe you are on to the solution to solve the homeless problem. In the 60 and 70s you could work and for about 20 percent of your paycheck you could have a crappy room to call your own. This does not happen today. One must work 70 plus hours to rent apartment they are only there to sleep a few hours a week. Then you cant save a penny. This type of thing could give so many options to work and save money. Thankyou for caring.
Paul, what I think would be awesome, is if you could get some of the company's that you get your stuff from, and get some people to donat thier and really build some of those, and give them to some homeless people, just to let them know that someone really caress, that would really crank up the good carma in your life, and have someone come with to work the camera so you can show us what happens, that would be truly amazing😊❤😇🙏
Awesome Presentation Paul!!! Kids in school should learn this lifegiving skill about how to make a shelter out of practically anything!!! I love all your designs and it is evident that you are very gifted with designing wonderful things!!! Plz ignore any trolls to your site as they are simply jealous of your very Creative Mind!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful projects...you Rock!☺😊😄
This is a really cool idea. And it's got my brain-wheels spinning about the possibility of a little vacation retreat in the wilderness that can be deployed in a day and then later wiped without a trace. Please keep these videos coming. I love what you do! I live in L.A. and in my neighborhood, there are about 200 homeless people sleeping rough. I'm tempted to start building structures like these and giving them to them.
Definitely one of your best Temporary Obsessions to date, Sir ! - I'm hoping you will yet show us it how it works outdoors, with you keeping dry successfully in heavy rain ! Thanks for another excellent video, Paul !
wow what an awesome idea paul a great littlr tiny house you could put on the back of your car or truck when you travel. thumbs up my friend. have a great day mark
Hey Paul, I just discovered your channel and I'm loving the content you put out. You remind me an awful lot of my dad. He would have loved you too. He recently died so it's a bonus comfort that while watching your videos, I feel a little closer to him. Keep up the incredible work! Thank you
Were you homeless once? I was, and you have the practicality and enginuety of someone who once was homeless. I think my deepest fear is that it could happen again, so I'm always watching these things. If I had the garage space, I'd be building them as if I need them myself like you are.
Great idea 👍🏾Question?Have anyone ever feel as though they are homeless with staying with certain relatives when you've falling on hard times and just need a little help without trying to take every penny you have to keep thier house up.Not caring how you're trying your very best to get back on your feet. And believe me when i tell you it is possible to feel homeless in someone else's home!😔
...so great all your creative homesteads all homeless that spent an other night & day & night w/o sleep are so wishing to have a safe place at least to have a nest as such & materials is easier to find a safe place is something else... thanks , seemingly me dream small ... the long one behind the bike still the fav. 😊
I really appreciate your dedication and efforts in such a good cause. I also believe that people are greatly inspired by your work. Thank you for your videos. Valentene
You never cease to amaze me Paul! Always look forward to your CoroPlast creations! I wish we had campaign signs that big around here LOL. Have a great day sir, and an excellent week!
i have been debating about making small sink and pump system for my Subaru forester, after seeing the simplicity of the marine bulb ive decided to go with that, much better price and less to go wrong
So this is the 5th UA-cam of your's that I've watched. I like it the best as a more remote & livable shelter. The big plus is being able to stand up. For Australia it would need Water collection options + better ventilation + insect exclusion.
Paul Elkins , ANOTHER! I always eagerly await your Videos!! -Wonderful Video and Inspiring idea!! Thank you for thinking of those who need assistance...You are Brilliant Creative and Compassionate!!
Such a thing would be a great guest house.. or for a hostel.. how can you make them more UV resistant and have you used space blankets for you sleeping quarters.. heat exchangers for air.. and filling up a squat metal gas can to hold molten wax to keep the place warm at night. I guess if you painted it black and had some reflectors..
I could say a lot of good things about your work and you vids. I would just like to say that the "always dropping a screw" clip and the "tape debacle" clip really let me relate to you so much more. My wife hates when I work on anything, because it's a cus fest. I have the luck tho... drop a screw... prolly where it can be found, but not reached. Tape gobs up... no problem, just unwind some more... what?... I only had exactly enuff and now I'm screwed until I go buy more.
I miss when you had the outback sounds intro and the cake music playing as you worked. You helped me discover them and now I own four albums ( so far )
I'd love to forward your comment to the numb nut copyright owners who made me take the songs off my videos. Their loss. Our latest liked obscure musicians are 'Jesse Cook' and 'Idiom Creek' Check them out.
That isn't No cool structure , that's an outstanding structure ! I think that might be a good idea to help out with the homelessness in America , don't you think so ? Nice job I like it very much !
I love your videos! Of course I have a hard time finding corrugated plastic in my little town! Having a quick up small shelter would be so useful in many situations. Also just fun to take out in the woods for an afternoon or overnight. Or just a little place to get away in the backyard.
This might be a nice form to put some sort of burlap cement covering and then you can remove the form. There also using that landscaping fabric with a stucco type cement on it to over forms to make structures at last.
Love your videos, and videos like yours. Want to share something, watched a woman living in her car and she used one of those weed killer sprayers for water and for showering, etc. Really cool idea - would make great water source in your little structures
These videos are futuristic and pushes the envelope of accepted living. I hope vagrancy laws become more lax and accommodating to the poors survival as more people get there!
Seriously my son-in-law should make a sturdier version of this for me to live in. I just need a TV and a potty so I can live in their backyard in suburbia
another great job Paul. Maybe lose the easy chair and the bed and add a chair that converts to a single bed. Just a thought. Keep up the great work, love the creative ideas!! :{)
Paul, you represent an era gone by. A time when you had to be handy, ingenious, practical, essentially...smart! I love your vids. Please keep them coming! Cheers
i watch the tiny home builders on UA-cam, I've fallen in love with tiny homes, but your tiny homes are literally the tiniest! love em!
And lightest .

Another fine post, Paul... Keep up the tinkering.

You are so good at utilizing every inch of space in your small structures. Ingenious designs. Here’s a challenge: Can a small structure that folds up
I didn’t finish..Is it possible to assemble a structure that folds up and fits in a backpack or can be transported in a cart or wagon?
A NEW VIDEO! WOOOT!
i absolutely love your videos!
your quite the engineer and carpenter!
Those campaign signs would make excellent feral cat shelters, actually. Good to see campaign signs being put to good use.
Jeeze. Now I'm addicted to your stuff and I haven't even watched 30 seconds yet. Thumbsed up and subscribed. Extremely good topic.

Wow, I just looked online and each one of those coroplast sheets, to buy new, is $200. Those are some expensive signs!
That's probably for a pack of 5, Home Depot sells single sheets for around 20 bucks, search Corrugated Plastic Sheet

That shower, design a pop up cartridge shower. A spring piston water vessel would be nice to go with the shower.
I would say that this one is your best tiny house at this point.
