These nano tape bubbles have blown up the past few days and here's the full-length video! I posted a Short recently with the basics but there were still a lot of questions which I've hopefully managed to answer in this video. These bubbles won't work with regular Scotch tape or sellotape. It needs to be double-sided nano tape which is available quite easily online and in many DIY stores. The rest is just practice and you should get the hang of it after a few attempts! This is the method that works best for me but there are many variations to this DIY. For instance, you don't need to trim the tape beforehand, you don't necessarily have to heat it (if the tape is thin enough) and you can also use a balloon pump instead of a straw.

MYTHBUSTING: Nano bubbles are not the same as magic balloons or "Bloonies". These look similar but are two very different things. Bloonies is a paste made from PVA (harmless) and various chemical solvents like benzene (not so harmless). They were banned from sale in many countries but I've been coming across them again recently. The fumes from Bloonies are definitely not healthy to inhale. Nano tape is made from a stretchy polymer embedded with tiny nano-tube structures which give it adhesive properties. Nano tape does not contain PVA nor any of the solvents found in Magic Balloons. When you heat nano tape, it doesn't give off any fumes although it does have a typical "tape smell". I think this could also be the smell of the protective film which is very similar to normal clear tape. I think nano tape is safer to use than the toothpaste type of holdable balloons.

My favourite thing is that you show the fails so that people know what doesn't work as well as what does
It also helps with the feeling that your doing something working if it doesn't work the first time
Yea, Nano tapes & other extremely sticky tapes with Adhesive on both sides, Don't work at all and It's very useless to make bubbles and won't last long, I recommend Bubiloons, It's not extremely sticky & Won't pop, If you try to stick the bubbles together, Also, You could blow in different sizes too
But, They also, Have Confetti one too
I think you could made DIY too also, It last alot longer then this lol
But, I don't recommend don't squeeze the bubbles too much through or stretching it either
A quick solution for the glitter bubble is to use food safe glitter instead of the synthetic type so kids can make the glitter bubbles
Thank you for the tutorial Joanna! I had so many questions about this DIY because it seemed way too good to be true 😂. And I’m glad that it’s a safer version of “Bloonies”. Bloonies are such a good childhood memory and honestly so aesthetic when filmed right. It makes me happy now that we have a safer alternative.
The fact that my name is Joanna too-😂
Esque en el video original no usaban pajillas sino un inflado de globos

@@Woahhhhhhh7 same lmao
@@johannaramirez9481 Omg, same. Haha.
6:54 For Anyone Who Needs Perfect Timing 😊
Thnx
Thank you this was the longest video to get to the point lol
It doesn't even really take that long if you just like Get bOiling WaterAnd dip the tape in there and then just blowing
Tysm
I am always amazed when people discover these little tricks, like who was the first person to try this!?
I love how the ring light reflection makes the bubble look like it has big eyes. 😊
The glitter bubbles are amazing!
I love bubble wrap so the idea of being able to make massive bubbles for popping fills me with joy. 😂
I wonder if you could reheat the deflated bubbles into a kind of 'gum' and make new ones? 🤔
Thank you for the tip about the glitter going back up the straw, my niece wanted this tape to make these bubbles but it's always good to be well-informed about hazards
Edible sprinkles may work, or edible glitter used for cakes or chocolate decorating
How many rupees in nano tap
@@vijaybashyal5323 well it's supposed to be 5 rupees 😂
6:23 why does it look cuter than before 😭
I’d love a nano tape popping asmr video!😊
You worded my exact idea!
I hope this becomes a trend~
that's like listening to balloons pop, it makes me jump
@@NebulaBubbles I get it, but it's also such a soft version of a balloon popping.
same
@@_SpreadingLove_ yea
You could potentially use edible glitter that way if there’s a little bit of blowback it’s not harmful
We used to play with Bloonies when I was a kid, and we survived! LOL
(I'm kidding. I mean, it's true, but it doesn't mean they weren't dangerous. We also played with lawn darts and didn't wear seat belts. I didn't even have a carseat as a baby! The fact that we survived is surprising more than anything.)
So happy to see you show how to make this DIY! I've been seeing it so much on Shorts lately! Thank you for showing us a foolproof method :)
There's still a chance of aspiration which is when you accidentally breath in the thing and choking and stuff, but it does guarantee that if it's swallowed it won't harm anyone.
Omg this is just the kinda thing I was looking for to use for a craft project. Hopefully it would fill the same way with liquid like it does with air 🤔
It does!
Johanna i saw an AMAZING tutorial by Polymomotea where he used a similar method with water to make a squishy instead of a bubble! I think it was really cool :D
This is a great video :) I also like how you show the failed attempts. I also think that you can use nano tape for creating packaging for miniatures :D
I’ve been having/using this tape in my house for about 3 years now and I didn’t even know you could made such cute things out of it. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
does normal nano tape work like do you have to but the kit of can you buy it seperatly
Thank you for explaining so well! My daughter was having a really hard time getting her bubbles to seal, and most videos just show, they don't explain, so it was getting really frustrating. Thank you also for showing how challenging it was for you to make the bubbles seal - that made her feel much better!!
I saw the tape on Amazon! The bubbles look so satisfying!😯😍
I literally use this tape for everyday use and when I found out about this DIY on tiktok I was so happy 🥰💜
@Old Blue Witch I don't know exactly if it's the same type but I use this kind of tape for bunch of stuff. Like If I want do stick something to a surface and than take it off easily because it's reusable.
@Old Blue Witch Then I maybe use a different tape but I seems the same and it's useful for temporarily mounting my phone somewhere for example 😅 idk honestly
@Old Blue Witch I think it might be useful for temporary things. For example say you broke the handle off a mug. You want to glue it back on but glue takes applying pressure and you don't want there there and hold it. Glue the handle then wrap the mug in the tape. It just sticks to itself so when you cut the tape off it leaves no residue. You also could attach any two thinish things together by wrapping them, like you could attach a bunch of balloon strings to table leg . It could help you organize by bundling something like paintbrushes together. You are right though that it probably doesn't have as many uses as regular tape.
I made the perfect nano tape squishy on my very first try just because of this video... Thank you so much
Cute!!! I'd love to see if you could make these into shapes like hearts or something.
im soo glad this popped up 15 minutes after this was posted!! i love your videos soo much!
I love crafting and your channal really helped me finding new crafts and diys! Your diys are so cute! Thank you so much! 💗
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've tried like 5 times with my son and we're both getting frustrated with it. I'm going to go back and try again after watching your video!!
Edit: YAYYY!!! WE JUST MADE ONE!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!! my son is so happy!!
Thank you for showing us how it's done. 😀💖XX
But couldn't you prevent deflating by using some heat to seal off the pinch at the end of the creation process? Like use a lighter to make a more perm seal for the point where you pinch it off so it won't deflate?
Thank you for the tutorial and for the warning about the glitter 💕
Thank you so much for this DIY nano bubble video. I didn't know where to start. Your tips are very helpful. ❤
Wonderful! Thank you!
Absolute coincidence i was making “magic bubbles about three days ago with almost that exact bubble kit
I'm not a diy person, I dont even know why I always watch your videos but they're so nice to watch
Joanna can you please make a video about how to make these nano tape bubbles but with liquid(water) inside them
I've seen a few shorts... Can u please test that out... And thank you soo much for this video 😊❤️
idk if this would work but maybe first fold the tape, leave the air pocket, then add a tiny amount of water inside the air pocket through the straw?
ive seen some videos, im not sure if they used nano tape. they cut a tiny piece of the tape and then straight away scoop water from a basin using the tape and seal it
You should put a piece of tape on the part where the nano bubble touches the straw. It gets less air in and you can just rip it off when your closing it
it looks so pretty!
I was hoping you'd tell viewers the length of time for hear on the nano tape!! THANK YOUUUUU
I'm not done watching, but I wonder what brand is best. I do NOT recommend gorilla glue brand nano tape. It's so tough I can't even blow a bubble! 😆 🤣
PLASTIC BUBBLES
I USED TO HAVE THEM WHEN I WAS YOUNGER🤩
BRINGS BACK MEMORIES❤
This video was so perfect for what I wanted to learn when I searched this up. Thank you!❤️❤️❤️
another way people are using the nano tape is by putting slime inside it! they don't blow it into a ball, they just use it as a stretchy squishy container for the slime! super cute
Such a fun idea, really pretty bubble/balloons. Love the slime and squishy vids!
I was wondering if you could also try these rainbow balls they make out of some sort of tape and then cut it.. I’ve always wondered how they do it and what they use but never found anything
Yes! I have those tapes too and can't wait to test it out 😄
it's called "double sided tape" by the way :)
@@maqaroon please increase your warning about children using glitter in these to cover the fact it would be quite easy for a young child to inhale the glitter, not simply to swallow it.
All that they would need to accidentally do is breath in during a 'blow back' or suck , instead of blowing into the straw.
Some children do struggle with blowing at first when young
ATTENTION FOR THOSE WITHOUT HAIRDRYERS; it works fine without them, but if ur gonna use straw method, ur mouth will hurt when blowing, but in around 30 seconds of blowing, it will start expanding
The other videos I’ve seen seal the bottom and side edges first before inserting the straw and sealing the top. Some seal the straw on the side, like a flag (like in this video) and some seal it in the middle, like a shovel/sign on a stick. I found that it’s easier to blow a bubble with the straw sealed in the middle as you can get a better seal around it, and it’s easier to remove the bubble from the straw and seal it. With the straw sealed on the side, it’s more difficult to get a good seal even when you push out from the center fold, and when you remove the bubble, the tape sticks to your fingers and creates a gap around the straw that lets all the air out. It’s like folding a piece of cardboard in half in which there will always be a gap at the fold versus stacking two pieces of cardboard together in which there will be no gaps.
For the glitter ones, the other videos seal the bottom and side edges first, creating a pouch and then add the glitter before inserting the straw and sealing the top. This way, there is no pile up of glitter at the bottom hole, which might decrease the chances of inhaling the glitter through the straw.
Here is one of the videos I saw using the above mentioned methods:

Please please please do asmr of popping loads of these i feel I need this it looks soooo satisfying 💖💖💖💖💖💖
So cute ❤ I can’t wait for my nano tape to arrive.
Thank you so much for this video. I have got some nano tape for Christmas to try the squishys and I had the same problems as you.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I FINALLY DID IT
I definitely wanna try this!! :D
I had just seen a video on insta about this bubbles!!! So cute!!!!
This is really nice. It's rare to see people explaining the cons of things as well as the good things. Also why is this ASMR
Gahdang, finally I found your channel again after a few years, thanks for the ideas you share with us
Thank you so much! This video helped me so much. I really appreciate it. :D
Omg that helps me so much !
I got regular scotch tape to eventually work 😂. Just have to wash all the sticky stuff off it. Then you hold a lighter over it so the plastic softens. then you need strong glue around the edges put a straw in the middle and fold the tape in half then blow into the straw. Then take the straw out fast and quickly seal the the area where the straw was.
i finally made some of my own!!!! here's a tip that worked for me: i was having trouble getting a good seal on my straw so i rolled the tape around it so i wouldn't have to hold it to the straw (my tape is extra sticky because i had bought it to hold photos on my walls)
Thank you so much ❤
This really really helped....I tried this thing about 4-5 times but failed😅 my problem was the same as you to take out the bubble 😂.I tried this method and closed up the bubble while it was a little warm and it really really helped 😁.
Thank you 😊
This helped so much ty!
Thank you so much I thought all these were fake until I saw this video and that you Can make nano bubbles with nano tape and not normal tape
Just ordered this stuff so excited!🎉🎉🎉
omg thank you ive been wanting to make a nano tape bubble before i even got some nano tape and i didn't know i needed those items so thank you sm omg 😭
I have looked up many tutorials but this is the only one that works!
Tried it it worked!!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I've got the tape shipping to my house now and I'll try this!
Hi ! Thanks for the great instruction! We did everything you said and it worked well after several tries. The problem we are having is once we set the ball down it popped after about 5 minutes, any advice?
Watching this makes me so excited because I ordered nano tape and I think I might come today 😀😀😀😀😀
For the closing, you could also use tweezers, pliers, pick-ups, hemostats, et al. I could keep going, but y'all have the idea.
SO CUTE!! 🥰
I am sooo happy i just brought nano tape and making all these bubbles with your help is fun
Been waiting for this vid!
Sooo cutee!!
I think this is what we use to wrap decks of cards to keep them nice and together in game boxes
Thank you so much for posting this video! I purchased a kit from Amazon, to make these but it came with no instructions at all. The Amazon listing I purchased showed some of these with liquids in them, and some turned into keychains or charms! Have you attempted to make anything else with the nano tape then just round shapes? I look forward to watching your other videos!! :)
i googled how to make these bubbles and this was the best tutorial i saw by far. i went to your acc and realised i recognised the name from when i was a kid so i scrolled down and remembered sneaking onto my dad's computer while he was at work in the school holidays and watching all of your videos all day until he got home. i loved your videos so so so much and i'll definitely be watching them again. thanks for bringing me back to then
i audibly gasped and slapped my hand over my mouth when i saw the thumbnails for the videos i watched all these years ago.
:D
Is there a recommendation to make them last longer?
I wonder if this would also work with diang/decompression tape, or if that tape is too thin
Thanks
01:36 I remember that my dad bought me these and I loved playing with them
(I was about 5/6 years old I think)
Me who has had it for year
“Mhm, interesting. FASCINATING!”
tysm for the tutorial
Coat them lightly with cornstarch or oil to prevent them from sticking to each other?
If you want to do the glitter nano tape but you don’t want it to go on you’re tongue then you can use a pump
Hope this helps!
Fun fact:you can skip the hairdryer altogether and prepare your tape as usual and just blow it up!
Another fact:you can also use hot water!
❤❤❤
Joanna I love your videos and it is amazing . I love how you also show the fails so we know it is not fake
Thank you so much!
This helped a lot when I ordered this tape!!Now I can annoy my family with these ❤😂
hello it seems so satysfying but can you make the nano tape with any hair dryer?
These reminds me so much of Oonies, which essentially is the same put with a pumper and a silicone thing, that you can turn into a character
It's so satisfying 😊😊
It’s so funny how Nano tape has just become really popular now, because it actually has existed for around 3 years prior.
thank you soo much for demystifying this! i had no idea what was happening when i cam across this trend 😅
Something that could probably save you time is sealing the other end of the straw with your finger while you pull the bubble off
I just randomly bought a gecko tape for no reason a while ago. But I think I know what to with it now. Thanks for the tutorial
These are so cute 🥺 xx
Ohhh I used to play with this kind of stuff whenever I visited Malaysia!!
OMGG WHEN YOU MENTIONED BLOONIES THAT UNLOCKED A CHILDHOOD MEMORY WTHH 😭😭 i had no idea they were toxic, i used to be addicted to the smell like gasoline and would sometimes chew on popped/crushed bubbles…
@SineadFay, you're totally correct!
I suddenly came across this video and decided to watch it,until I realised i happen to have this type of tape at home, which i didnt know, so i decided to make one! It looks great
This just randomly showed up on my page, but honestly wow! These are so kawaii 😄
Thank you so so muchhh!! Omg now I finally know how to do this!!!🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Hi I bought a packet of nanotape today and I saw your video's thumbnail there on the packet so I came searching for your video and honestly it's very helpful thanks....
Instead of a hairdryer I used the metal top out in my porch (its like 103 F) so it cooked in 5 secs as an alrenitive
Please make more crafts with these . I love your vedios
