Add the Posterize Time effect and set the value to half or quarter of your composition frame rate. Don’t apply it to the actual footage just the animation.

Deep Glow has a "Chromatic Abberation" setting, which will give you that effect. Otherwise I do show how to create an RGB split in the CRT effect video!
The way I do it is export small sections where I want to animate then export a transparent version of the animation. Otherwise, you can use Dynamic Link or simply add animations to the full video after it’s done

No, you can't make custom animations like these without After effects.
You have to invest in a good specs laptop.
There might be other software out there that’s available but I highly recommend getting a hang of After Effects. It’ll be worth it in the long run

Just personal preference. Most of the time it just looks cheap because of the way it’s done. If done right and tastefully it can be super sick.

i watched the whole thing and enjoyed it but it was very fast lol, i use to be scared opening after effects but trying to get use to it!
It's not an easy program to learn by any means but it's worth it in the long run! Have fun figuring stuff out and experimenting!
