What would you reccomend, how to learn edit similar to your style? Is after effects enough or you also know stuff like Blender and Cinema 4d? Thank you :)
Hey Mapal, many people are impersonating online that they work for M.M when they are not to get more clients, the M.M channel posted about it on their community tab a day ago as well, so i think you should confirm before pinning something like this as well mate.
I'm glad to see magnates media get attention. he makes really interesting videos. Also kudos to you cause I always wondered how he or reallifelore made their videos.
Mapal has once again managed to read my mind and upload what I was thinking about. I cannot escape Mapal's penetrative psychic force and have decided to submit and surrender.
Nice one! Thanks for covering the transition between scenes part, its much more simple than I was thinking it was. How did you get so good at AE especially as you seem like such a young guy?
This is wild lol how long would you say it usually takes to edit a one to two minute high-quality video in this style?? I want to learn how to do this, but I’m skeptical if clients will pay the price for the length of time it takes
Do you do something to keep the render times down in AE and allow you to have faster playback times? I'm seeing a lot of +100ms render times on most of my layers. Thanks for the videos, I'm a big fan, and they've helped us tremendously!
Amazing tutorial! BTW, how do you do your cursor animation? Do you collect a data from cursor movement, then convert that into a keyframes on after with some easying? Cuz sometimes it looks a bit off.
I appreciate that! I use an app called “Screen Studio”. It records the mouse data and then adds it in post. I have noticed the mouse thing but it makes the punch ins a lot easier to do. Hopefully it’s something that’ll be fixed in future updates
Special thanks to Mapal for enabling the creation of my new video. I'm truly inspired by Dodford and Magnatesmedia's remarkable video editing style, and I aimed to replicate it. Without Mapal's channel, my video wouldn't have been possible. I'm thrilled to share my new video, all thanks to the encouragement and resources provided by Mapal's channel.
you have helped me a lot, soon I will be able to improve and produce my documentaries about music. You could release some sound effects for this type of editing. (I'm tired of generics)
I am very impressed with your knowledge of AE and skills overall, would it be possible to make a full length tutorial on AE going through menus/buttons/functionalities and so on?
I definitely get where you’re and many others are coming from. However, I think it’s such a huge part of the process to learn how to work with assets. There’s no better way to learn than to do. I highly recommend practicing photoshop, which will make you so much better in the long run! I do think it might be worth it for me to do a photoshop tutorial on that exact topic tho!
Seeing this, I can say that Fusion in Davinci is a lot better for my workflow. But it's always better to learn other tools and see how things are done in other softwares.
It’s all about the workflow that you’re most comfortable and proficient in. I think you’ve got a great way of looking at it with still watching other ways of doing it. Never know what you might pick up
Mapal Thank you so much for this tutorial bro, really the way you explain is OSM, keep creating tutorials on this and make a playlist it will help many editors
Thank you! I use it because I like the look. Gives it some character. The reason for using 6 and 12 is because my base framerate is 24. Ideally you want to use values that are either 1/2 or 1/4 of your actual framerate. This will give you the best results.
Great!!! An other way to control the camera could be in your main Sequence, with "collapse transformations" to keep the depth in your comps and animate the camera over the transition points. For me this is simpler, as I only have to animate one camera and get my flow easier...
Awesome dude! This tutorial is inspired in my work, and I really loved it (I edited the first 5 chapters from rockefeller video)
That’s awesome dude! You did a great job with it!!
Amazing Carlos.
Would like to connect with you. Do you have any social media handle?

Oof that’s a tough question! There’s always people that are willing to pay for you time. It’s just about finding the right clients
can i get those scenes i want to follow with you step by step,Thanks!

Reduce ram preview quality, clear cache, turn certain effects off that aren’t necessary, and only playing back small regions
bro did u link ur flow user presets somewhere?
@mapal also, when I opened up the projects after saving two of the scenes, the parameters were disorganized. Have you ever had this happen before?
can you also make video of designing every frame in photoshop?
I have actually made a photoshop tutorial! It covers most of the steps/the process so you can apply it to whatever you might be working on
Your brain should be in the size of your room. Awesome

bravo
this is an awesome technique, thanks. I'm wondering, is it possible to do this also with a roto'd video collage instead of just still images?
Definitely! The technique would be the exact same you’d just be able to skip the photoshop part. Just precomp your roto layer and turn it into 3D!
do next tutorial how to create movie motion poster
"If I edit scene by scene in After Effects and import them into Premiere Pro to link all the scenes with transitions, is that a good approach?"
Sorta depends on your workflow. You’ll have more flexibility in Ae but you definitely can do what you suggested
Hey, where is the link to the files, if I want to do the same video and train on it?? Because I'm new to Ae??
Theyre available on my patreon www.patreon.com/Mapal
Man I enjoyed this could you please do some editing done by lemmino. The guys editing is goated. You are good to achieve that. Lol thanks ❤😅
True dat. Lemmino is mad skilled, the way he uses sound and pacing is nuts.
