Ha, wow, Zack seems like a bit of a legend, somehow keeping his spirits up despite an incredibly nasty injury... it's really not a good day when 3 of your fingers are literally just bone...
Wow, even the overhead shot of Zak’s hand was pretty gruesome, and things like that are one reason I am glad I never thought about going into the medical field. He must have been either in shock or had the pain threshold of an elephant to only let out a few choice expletives when they took the dressing of first time, personally I would have been crying like a baby and swearing like a trooper, how he managed to stay as calm and coherent as he did is just incredible, what an awesome man, how he was able to be so stoic is unbelievable.
Yeah, that overhead shot was WILD. He literally pulled the skin and muscle off some of those fingers; you can clearly see the bones are visible with little flesh around them. Absolutely gnarly injury.
Wow! What doctors, nurses and surgeons can achieve these days is a miracle! Grow fingers back from other parts of the body, pop hips back into joints before the bone dies and put a soon to be a mother of twins to sleep for the few short minutes to put her shoulder back into place without harming those those babes. Then go back to a normal life at the end of their shift is nothing short of a miracle... 🤗😍 worth their weight in gold. As do all emergency services
Im 68. Had a total hip replacement 2 1/2 years ago. It dislocated 4 times in 6 wks. Worst pain Ive ever had beside torn rotator cuff. The dislocation tore all the sutures apart. How this young fella can lay flat on his back with a hip dislocation is beyond me. Even with taking two hits of fentynl, I couldnt lay flat!
I'm sorry but that doctor had already been warned that the stabbing patient was agitated by the paramedics and she should have given him something sooner!!
28:10 - (be ready to hit pause!! & caution if you're not great with icky images!!) So, a little help here guys with what I'm looking at ..is that all skin or part skin and then I think it's 3 fingers? Freaky!!!! 🤔😬🥴😲 [Edit- messed up the time stamp!]
Mostly skin/flesh, possibly reminents of veins, tendons, flesh (like if you pulled the skin off of a cooked chip, sometimes there's some soft potato on the inside of the crispy outer part) mostly just skin and other external things (finger nails, hair, etc) but there's a potential for little remaining pieces in there as well, sometimes it can come off more clean, but there may be some fibers of stuff remaining or even just some of the skin being more fibrous on the inside as its been pulled from the fingers quite aggressively and rapidly. I'm not medically trained, though!
I think Zack looks high 😝 I hope he was it might have helped with the awful pain he must have been in! What a horrific accident poor thing I hope he’s doing ok now

Sometimes people react this way due to shock or because the injury, blood loss, trauma, potentially alcohol mixing with medications, it's possible he has a phobia of hospitals or even other psychological issues, who knows
These medical people are impressive and brilliant, but I don't understand why they don't use restraints on their drug influenced or violent patients?? That would secure safety for both patient and staff.
Im a nurse, we cant unless we have a mental health section or go through legal processes after a code for agression. Its a legal issue for a patients safety. A lot can go wrong with physical restraints so we do a lot with chemical restraints as seen in the show
I have to admit being slightly concerned that the young heavily pregnantFreya)mom, was more concerned about getting to the Harry Potter Show than her daughter, having to have sedation..potentially very dangerous…She was saying it was because of a last hurrah before Freya had her babies,I feel it was misguided?!!
I think she was being facetious. It's something us Aussies do in bad situations. She knows her daughter isn't in a good way and she and her daughter will be wanting to make sure those twins are okay. I've done the same thing many times in hospital with my son when I know he isn't going anywhere fast.

Dr. Johnathan, great job! .

@@alexb7092 “I’m not medically trained though” lol
Your analogy was great tough. How could anyone not understand the situation after that. I loved it.

If the drunk with stab wounds doesn't want treatment .... grant him his wish! You'll be relieved to know l'm not a nurse.
this gave me a good laugh 🤣

The doctor had already been warned by the paramedics he was agitated!
Wether he lives or dies is not up to the surgical team they do the best they can but it’s never a guarantee
W-O-W
My son got his hand caught in a machine luckily he had no extension damage but I was there instantly cause that is what mums do
Could you please tell me please please. Is 268 potential too much for much for You at 71?
I want too see the wounds please 😢
Somebody know the Song in the beginning??
Why not give the aggressive stab victim, the Medazelam from the very beginning? Considering he was already showing signs of aggression?!?
It's annoying how they keep going on about the dangers of infection but most of the staff aren't bare below the elbow
So much for ketamine. 😮
😂😂😂 she was warned he was already agitated!!
Why didn’t they give the guy pain meds for his hand?
Drunkards who take up resources that are already under constraints make me angry

@@SirSoup44Yep! It's dangerous as the patient also may vomit or something may happen which requires them to be moved too

Lol what an idiot stole a car get injured. Little sympathy
Head tattoos and a Mohawk... I think his car crash was darwinism at its best
Spot on
He seemed pretty respectful. You can't judge someone based on a mohawk and tattoos. Unless maybe the tatts are offensive.
Some of the most respectful, OPEN-MINDED, nicest people I've met have been tattooed and pierced with wild colors in their hair.
