- The Butcher and its origin, might still to this day, be one of the most preposterous stories to come out of the Louisiana bayous. Even among the hunters and researchers, who had been engaged with the paranormal, seen the other side, and certainly didn't doubt the existence of superstitious entities, this particular monster had a creation so far-fetched, barely anyone thought it to have been plausible.
In this episode we will dive into the origin of the boss, The Butcher.

its quite funny how in lore these generals of the sculptor are death incarnate, but in game there are hunters beating them to death with their bare hands and not taking a hit in the process
You're right, it's a funny contrast. Every monster in the game is significantly more powerful within the lore. The Hives for examples are absolute monsters, containing immense swarms of bees probably fifty times larger than what we see.
@@HazmatFTW if you really think about the Hunters in lore have to be badass to kill the monters in hunt:showdown not say that the ingame on aren’t cool, but it’s interesting.

The butcher is super easy bro. I have killed him running solo with a stim shot and a ball bat. You have to time your attacks between his rage fits and you can avoid him if you time it just right without ever taking damage

@@Nionyx it isn't really horror though. Its a gothic novel which borrows themes from horror, but it isn't a horror novel.

I walk into the saloon once more. I found the hunter again after he had disappeared for many days. I sit down in front of him expressing my relief that he is alright.
*He lifts his right sleeve repealing severe burns along the arm and spreading to the torso*
“Was busy at the doctors.. they patched me up.”
*I express my concern but he shrugs it off*
“Salveskin comes in handy when facing the butcher”
I tilt my head in confusion and ask “some butcher did this to you?”
He looks at me and shakes his head
*I sigh and buy him a drink, he smiles as he chugs it. He wipes his mouth and puts his mask back on*
“It was no man. Not anymore I had lost my partner to this beast. Let me tell you.. it’s origins, and it’s… talents”

That's a great question. Some think the Butcher is responsible for providing organic material to the Sculptor, though we have no evidence of this. Others think that it is the blunt brute force of the Sculptor. The vanguard of the corruption, which would make sense as the lore considers this thing to be close to invincible.

So how does that explain there being multiple butchers?
We don't know about that. We can only speculate based on the lore. There exists multiple bosses, but only one of each at a time. Several people have produced evidence of killing the spider, but it always returns after being banished. We assume the Sculptor clones them
