Basements would be more popular it they all had 9-10ft ceilings

My best advice is to upgrade rack attachments at the time of purchase. Using Rogue as an example. Not all racks offer options on their website. And even those with options don't always show all choices. If you email Rogue your order though, asking to replace any attachment they will do and just charge you the difference. Great as you don't buy twice and don't generate waste from the attachment you don't use. I would always upgrade 3 items.
    - J-Cups -> Sandwich J-Cups (narrower so easier to (un)rack bar in Rogue's wider racks and no metal on metal contact front/bottom)
    - Pin & Pipe Safeties -> Strap Safeties (easier to move and soft touch at bottom of bench etc.)
    - Pull-up Bar -> Socket Pull-up Bar (If you have smaller hands like me and like the knurled option)

BOS has 60x60 (mm), some 3x3 are actually 75x75mm - usually overseas. The new BOS uprights are a true 3x3 to be compatible with US made accessories

Thanks for the good, common sense advice. I'm a 58 year old lifter, with no plans to enter any crazy competitions, just want to stay strong (ish) as I age. With that in mind, the Rep and Rogue stuff were way overkill for me and my needs. I ended up with a budget (although commercial rated) Rugged Fitness rack from Fitness Factory. It's a 2x3 rack, 11 ga steel and more capable than I need. The rest of my $$ is going to fishing gear, lol!

The only regret I have in buying a rack is not getting the good accessories right away. I thought I would love safety straps……now I think I would prefer spotter arms. I got a titan x3 and it’s seriously strong. I wish I had more room. I also need a new bench……my cheap bench is so high I can’t use my west side hole spacing! I’m just not spending the money now……more injuries.

Very interesting and good explanation! 🥇 Brother, one question, what is the measurement of the INSIDE of the cage (where the bar rests) for high traffic cages, I see that some have measurements of 49", others 47", others less. I have that little doubt.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Buy Once Cry Once is the advice I should have followed. I enjoy my REP PR4000 but I hate to see the CAP Half $260+ Rack collect dust unassembled in the basement.

If enough room, I'd set both up if could find a purpose to decrease set up time.
