After much personal hardship I attended the monastery that is very close to my heart; St George of the Black Mountain in Cyprus. I listened to the monks chanting as the attendees of the church prayed to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In that darkened and candle lit place I looked upon the crucified Jesus upon the cross and in that moment my eyes filled with tears but my heart was filled with joy. In that moment for the first time in my life I understood the deep significance of Jesus's sacrifice. I have never felt such pathos as I did in that moment. I felt the presence and grace of God in that one moment.
Kyrie liaison is Greek as most of you know which means “Lord have Mercy”. In Arabic it’s also two (2) words “yaRub Arham”. Lord have mercy on us sinners and we thank you 🙏 for all the blessings we have and all the trials and tribulations also; they are nothing compared to what you went through as a Human, to redeem us. as God you could have wiped out humanity, but you said to the Father in Heaven”thine Wil shall be done”! Your love is eternal and Through that your Grace abounds and is manifested for those that love you as only through you we can be redeemed for eternal life. Attend a Traditional Latin Mass if you haven’t! The ‘Kyrie’ is chanted in the beginning so you’ll get to hear it in real life, the Mass is so beautiful and revered towards God :) it’s life-changing and will strengthen your spiritual life and will be the source of sanctification of you and the Church
Sadly many of the parishes may not have the beautiful Byzantine hymn chanted properly .... perhaps you may benefit from a visit to Mt Athos in Greece and see spirituality in a wonderful format
He did more than that, He Resurrected so that all humans are now able to also join in the Resurrection and He also left to the world His Holy Communion, to partake of His Body and Blood so that we go beyond just being saved from the clutches of death, we go beyond being able to Resurrect our body with Him in Heaven BUT to be made God's through the grace of this Spiritual grafting. This gift is not for everyone who goes to heaven.

i am a 15 year old girl in Canada and I just became an Orthodox Christ by the grace of God. However, I am incredibly frightened a lot of the time. I'm so scared of world events like the war in Ukraine and Russian, Israel and Palestine, AI, secularism, climate change, wokeism and other things like that. I worry that these conflicts are a great sign of the times and that we are about to have the antichrist any day, that I'll look on the news and see a man claiming to be god being crowned in the temple in Jersualem. im so scared of being martyred or tortured for my faith, and that I'll lose or renounce my faith for fear of persecution. I also fear the Last Judgement and worry about my salvation, so I worry that I will have a terrible life on Earth, only to be met with eternal death afterwards. I know I need to trust in Christ and rely on Him, but that doesn't stop my anxiety. I would love some help, whether it be advice or prayers. God bless
Stay steadfast in your prayer, my dear. There are many signs that the End Times are near. It is sad and unfortunate, but faith is what will keep us hoping for a better world. If and when Christ comes back for his second coming - it will be on his divine timing. No need to worry as long as you repent to the Lord and ask for his mercy every single day. 🙏✝

Dont worry, you are on the good path. Fear of God or fear of losing God is a big sign that your heart is in a good place. Pray for others as well, show mercy for the weak and poor when you can and your worries give to God. He will handle them better than any of us.
Salvation is given to you through Christ. It’s yours, be brave, fear nothing of this world… it is after all just an illusion. Focus rather on the blessings and what you can control. Give thanks to God with music, with prayers, with kindness with words of love and gratitude. Build up your energy, be in nature.

Catholics and Orthodox don't worship the images, we venerate them: which means we pray through them, we love who they represent (Jesus Christ), not what they are (wood and paint). They are here to help us pray to God, and all the efforts put into the making of such paintings are offered to God, like a prayer. It is a humble gift to God, to Jesus, it shows the respect, love and gratefulness we have for him. Of course, it is never good enough for Him, but it allows us to see things when we don't understand, when words aren't here or aren't sufficient, just like singing. i am a 15 year old girl in Canada and I just became an Orthodox Christ by the grace of God. However, I am incredibly frightened a lot of the time. I'm so scared of world events like the war in Ukraine and Russian, Israel and Palestine, AI, secularism, climate change, wokeism and other things like that. I worry that these conflicts are a great sign of the times and that we are about to have the antichrist any day, that I'll look on the news and see a man claiming to be god being crowned in the temple in Jersualem. im so scared of being martyred or tortured for my faith, and that I'll lose or renounce my faith for fear of persecution. I also fear the Last Judgement and worry about my salvation, so I worry that I will have a terrible life on Earth, only to be met with eternal death afterwards. I know I need to trust in Christ and rely on Him, but that doesn't stop my anxiety. I would love some help, whether it be advice or prayers. God bless
Stay steadfast in your prayer, my dear. There are many signs that the End Times are near. It is sad and unfortunate, but faith is what will keep us hoping for a better world. If and when Christ comes back for his second coming - it will be on his divine timing. No need to worry as long as you repent to the Lord and ask for his mercy every single day. 🙏✝

Pray to God and don't be afraid, there were much darker times and still He is merciful to let the world live further. He won't send you more than you can handle. God bless!
Dont worry, you are on the good path. Fear of God or fear of losing God is a big sign that your heart is in a good place. Pray for others as well, show mercy for the weak and poor when you can and your worries give to God. He will handle them better than any of us.
Salvation is given to you through Christ. It’s yours, be brave, fear nothing of this world… it is after all just an illusion. Focus rather on the blessings and what you can control. Give thanks to God with music, with prayers, with kindness with words of love and gratitude. Build up your energy, be in nature.

Catholics and Orthodox don't worship the images, we venerate them: which means we pray through them, we love who they represent (Jesus Christ), not what they are (wood and paint). They are here to help us pray to God, and all the efforts put into the making of such paintings are offered to God, like a prayer. It is a humble gift to God, to Jesus, it shows the respect, love and gratefulness we have for him. Of course, it is never good enough for Him, but it allows us to see things when we don't understand, when words aren't here or aren't sufficient, just like singing. All the talents we have, we use them for God's Glory. May our Lord, son of God, have Mercy on us sinners, protect us and help us all do His Perfect and Loving Will, Amen
