- This mystical gregorian melody gives a climpse of what can be found in the core of western spirituality. It is sung in the traditional roman-catholic liturgy, specifically found in the 11th mass music collection, called "orbis factor". "Kyrie eleison" is greek and translates to "God, have mercy". This is my personal heartfelt version of the chant.

I had such a magical experience to this song last summer. I was 6 hours away from civilization, deep in uncharted woods along the bank of an untouched lake, not a single soul around me. I was laying in my hammock listening to this on a Bluetooth speaker just absorbing untouched creation, and it felt like a new earth. The sound of the leaves rustling in the wind, the birds going about their business, the haunting melody, the sun beating on my skin like the love of God beating on our hearts, it was a continuous flow of profound chills and spiritual revelation. I could barely remember to breathe, I was in pure awe of the beauty and your music added so many more beautiful layers to the experience. It felt like I imagine the Garden of Eden to have felt. I drifted off to sleep like an absolute baby in the middle of the day, it was the single most peaceful experience of my life. Thanks for this Patrick, God bless you brother! You might not think of your work as ministry (I don't know) but I do, may God continue to exalt you and your ministry. God keep your soul brother. When you return home, may He share your beautiful voice with all of us in Paradise! You're making Him so proud, brother.

Bro that is awesome!!! The first time I heard Gregorian Chant was like what you described, except I was indoors and it was like I was engulfed by the love of God. It was a couple months after my reversion and all I can say is WOW. Needless to say I fell asleep listening to it and was at a complete peace that I only feel after going to confession and after receiving the Most Blessed of All Sacraments.

I had insomnia many years ago, and quiet emptying of the mind of thoughts as a nightly practice helped me. I read wisdom literature also to put balance into my thought process. Worrying becomes a habit you need to break. Like worrying if you will sleep tonight. Reading the Desiderata helped me also.

Yes! I used to sing Gregorian chant in a choir for 5 years. This is Gregorian chant - ancient love songs to God written but Benedictine monks in the early Christian Era and in the dark ages. It is truly healing because the vibrations are like no other they penetrate deep into the bones.

Just had a panic attack because I have sinned again. I'm always worried Jesus is disappointed in me and won't forgive me. This chant brings me back to peace.
Jesus has already forgiven anything you have, or could ever do. He will not despise you for your weaknesses. Instead pray, and ask that He remove those weaknesses, or through His presence (ref: 2 Corinthians 12 1-10) transform them. Where you are weak, He is strong. And where He is strong, what have you to fear?
I feel like I fade away into a peaceful death when I hear this, but then I wake up and wonder why am I still here. The Lord surely holds my heart in his hands. Hauntingly beautiful.
