How heavy is that yellow kettlebell?

Taking knees too forward is actually a sign of less hip mobility. There needs to be flexion in the hips rather than the knees in the push press

Hi there! I think what you mean to say is that it would be ideal to have the hips stay back a bit to utilize power generation through the hips, as well as to maintain tension on the hamstrings to balance out anterior sheer of the femur.
While I would agree that this seems logical in theory, in practice it is rarely seen when demonstrating kettlebell jerks or push presses due to the inherent difference in rack position between barbells and kettlebells.
Kettlebell rack is significantly more front-loaded than a barbell rack, and sits anterior to the torso rather than stacked atop of it like a traditional barbell rack. Even when a barbell is held in the hands, the elbows can be positioned upward and forward to accommodate a rearward shifting hip position. However, with kettlebells it is critical in heavy kettlebell work of long-duration that the underarm never leaves the torso - or more specific to kettlebell sport that the elbows never leave the hips on the dip phase. If the hips flex and move back, the lifter will inevitably dump the bells, unless they compromise their rack position and lift the arms off the torso. I think you'll find that in practice the girevoy style necessitates more quad dominant, knee forward mechanics than in other disciplines, and I think you'll be hard pressed to find an accomplished Kettlebell coach who would specify otherwise.
I take your point though, and thank you for your comment.

@@NanaimoKettlebellClub Wow! Thanks for this. Im relatively new to the kettlebell world and have been dealing with more barbells as a coach. This comment was very in depth! Thanks so much

Sport style kettlebell training is just so stupid. No true athlete would ever do such a thing

This sounds like an intelligent comment. I'm going to leave it here for everyone to read. Life is too short not to chuckle at others' expense! 😂
