Man, you won't believe me but I had my P.E. classes in the same building where Dr. Kraewsky organized his athletic club at Saint Petersburg University. Unfortunately, the building not in its best condition now.

This is the most underrated fitness channel on UA-cam. The recording and audio quality is unreal. The skills are second to none, a true tactician! It’s nice to see a “real” person that’s stronger and more skilled than these juiced up influencers touting 3 minute workouts “guaranteed” to make you look like a bodybuilder lol. Thank you for what you do!

Gregory, thank you for the awesome video. Interesting, informative, and the production & editing are on-point. It's clear that you've put lots of efforts into it.
However, one question remains in my mind - what about all of those stories about the "girya" appearing in Russian dictionaries in the 1700s? Are they false? If they're true, than they talk about a period that predates all the names you mentioned. I wonder whether there are Russian historians that could further enlighten us on the matter.

If this is not considered, treated and respected as a definitive video guide of the history of the kettlebell (and an incredibly efficient crash course on modern weight lifting) now, I will predict it will be in the near future as humanity starts to look for efficient, cost and time effective ways to optimize their strength and physiques while separating the non-sense on youtube from extremely insightful and entertaining videos like this one. Anybody can tell a lot of thought was put into this video and execution. Great work my friend 🎉🎊🍾🙌🏼🙌🏼

Gregory very interesting and informative video.
Have been following your channel for several months and really enjoy your videos. Have you done a critique on Coach Vaughn or Rik Brown? I've been using kettlebells since 2002 and two years ago a friend asked me if I've ever used any mace workouts and I had not, but after looking into mace training, I bought two and they work well with kettlebells. Both men mentioned above are mace coaches and they are both kettlebell coaches. Rik Brown gives a lot of credit to Steve Cotter for his coaching after spending time with him. Coach Vaughn has a book on Amazon entitled The Kettlebell Awaits. After viewing some of their for kettlebells and mace training, I would be interested in your view of both coaches.

I am cool with a lot, but attributing some secret insight and then saying science came to the same conclusion is a bit iffy. Its in the same ballpark as claiming religious texts talk about quantum science. Dont put people on a pedastol. And dont build them one. The man claimed something, and now we know more because we've had the time to research. Otherwise fun video :) it shows a cool international team efford :p

Interesting video! Have you checked out Jamie Lewis’s podcast episode on the history of kettlebells? He puts it at starting at around 4500 BC in Pakistan area. It is certainly a case of different definitions, but it would be interesting to have you two chat about it because he is one of the most interesting lifters alive right now.

Good video. It's a shame how Germany hasn't turned that historical into anything meaningful.
Especially when the early German Eastern block sportsman were doping.
Very interesting. Strength doesn't always equal health. Facts. Pavel is still the original promoter of the kettlebells
There are no kings of kettlebells it's a stupid concept.
Like the matriarch of medicine balls.
