You are so creative and soo cute! I was actually searching for a tutorial on how to attach a ruffle like this to the bottom of a gathered skirt. And of course you demonstrated exactly what I was looking for! Thank you thank you for sharing your creative ideas.♥️♥️👏🏼👏🏼
Love the dress 🤩! Looks fabulous! I even like the shorter length. Everything looks good on you though!💕. This would be cute as a colorblock dress too. See you next time 🐱🌹💕🌻🌄
Loved your tutorial - all looks so easy (hope it is), Thanks for the tip of using the Coverlock machine to attach the frill - amazing. Both the top and dress look great, it would depend which you have most use for.
yes! This pattern is meant for knit fabrics. The great thing about making your own clothing is being able to grade between sizes. you can do that with all of the Ellie and Mac patterns ❤️❤️
I think they are both actually really really cute I would do one as a shirt and one as a longer dress just below the knee maybe but for the purposes of this video because the dress was so short I think I'm going to have to go with the shirt version
So I live in Arizona, can this be made sleeveless or with a flutter sleeve? I just cannot do sleeves except a few months of the year and they are not right now.
@@EllieandMacPatternsLLC I think I saw that video. I binge watch your videos. I will look. I don’t completely understand how to change things out like that yet. Although I did successfully add pockets to pants.
I was really liking the peplum until I saw the dress. The peplum would be super cute with some white jeans or shorts. I love the dress a bit shorter, I think the dress is my favorite.
This is so cute! I’m a beginner and trying to do this on a dress, but the thread keeps breaking when I gather 😞 any tips on gathering and not breaking the thread while you do it?
I really like the dress but having watched all your videos, it might be shorter than what you normally wear 🤷🏽♀️. I looks great as a top as well so I'd say go with what you're most comfortable with

Did this last week, great minds think alike, but to do pleats i shire elastic much faster,
Is your fabric DBP? I was thinking the DPB I have might be too heavy.
Both look great but I'd have it as a top.

I would have like to see how you set up your serger machine to attach the ruffle. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for the feedback 🩷
Can you please tell me how you set up your serger machine to attach the ruffle?
So cute! I think I like the dress the best.

yes! I am going to be making a few more of these ❤️❤️
Diane I am turning 78 tomorrow. We are going out to dinner. I will be using the jumper. Only with a skirt. And hills.
Happy Birthday!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Where did you get your Material, it is super cute
Thank you! I actually got this fabric from Walmart a coupe of years back. It's been sitting in my stash waiting for the perfect pattern!

Sorry to hear! Here are some helpful tips: www.ellieandmac.com/blogs/blog/how-to-gather-4-methods-of-gathering
I like both versions. Make both for options. I have a question. I never know how much length to make a tier. Is it double the width of the dress?
yes, I usually do 1.5-2 times depending on how much I want to gather ❤️
I love the dress version better
A Top.

thank you! ❤️
Peplum
You must always say what fabric you are using.
Ugh I am the worst at remember to! I used Double Brushed Poly for this project ❤️❤️❤️
