These videos are awesome. Its so cool to sit in the stands on Saturday nights and see everything and then watch these videos and see the race again from a completely different perspective. We had a great time Saturday but that was the coldest damn 45 degrees I have ever felt.

No reason at all to hang your head dude. Awesome driving. People really have no idea how hard it is to pass on a short track until they actually drive a race car in any division. Even harder in the top Asphalt Late Model Stock Touring Series.

The Cars Tour, in my opinion, is better than the Cup Series product we're getting right now. This is the racing I enjoy watching, and I don't think I'm alone with this opinion.

Making that race was great in itself...you ran your race and got run over..although frustrating your team is still focused..not downing your team..but those bigger money teams are glad you aren't in there shoes..I say you would be in the hunt every weekend in that series
money is definitely not short handed in the CARS Tour!
No matter what goes wrong on the night, your boys bust their ass to get it back together for the racetrack, and in the shop the next week. You've got yourself a great group there

The boys all seemed to have a little more intensity on this one. Just an underlying vibe of, "Time to get our guy in a spot to show these boys who's track it is."
Also, I felt slighted for you guys that you didn't get your spot. You should put a sign up that says "Reserved for Defending Track Champion " 😆

Asphalt late models/mods are missing the mark on not have a site like dirt on dirt. I cross my fingers someday will get the coverage that dirt guys get. Thousands people are missing out on what you guys do cause there’s literally no exposure. Yes flo helped tremendously!!

Do the in race audio transmissions from your spotter sound as staticky as it does in the video?
No. For some reason when the sony device records, its staticky at timnes. Ill do my best to make that better!

I hate ask about competitor on your page so i apologize! But I watched all your vids on cost/building car. And you mentioned the go to guys for chassis/motors and was wondering is 8 car built from ground up like it’s jrm chassis or do they use same local chassis/motor guys you mentioned?
they have hedgecock racing chassis but they cut and place their own front end points and geometry! So its essentially JRM custom from what ive been told
Hey! Long time viewer here! I would love to see a video or hear what you have for gear to make these videos. I’m helping a family member this year with their UA-cam and love seeing what works for other teams. My biggest question is what do you use to get your team radio chatter? I plan on using a scanner and cheap digital recorder with a 3.5mm aux jack. Thank you for the inspiration!
Ive been doing in car videos since 2018. For cameras, I use go pro hero 8 and hero 3+ ( wide setting 4K/1080p@ 60 fps) The biggest thing is, dont buy lightweight or plastic camera mounts....they allow camera shake on acceleration. For team/car audio, what you suggested is the easiest...the syncing is the headache lol Hope this helps and all the best.
Thank you! Yeah I have 2 Hero 8s, a 7 Black, a session 5, and a 3+. Usually run 3 cams in one car 2 in the other. I been doing research and to sync the audio when all the cameras are rolling talk on the radio or bang on the roof a couple times while holding the radio on. You can see the sound waves through software. I’m still learning and watching as much as I can for inspiration. With the 8s I usually run 2.7k 60fps and it lasts the whole race without overheating. First race I made the mistake of trying 4k60fps and got maybe 8 green flag laps. Also trying different roll bar mounts to see what’s easiest. I’m really surprised how the aftermarket flex clamp worked during practice last weekend. I’ll give you a follow thanks again for the input!
@@geoffweber4337 No problem on the advise as we all "rowing the same boat" lol Props on creating a time stamp ( hitting the roof) is a smart way to sync. Im surprised tho about battery life but putting a camera inside a car vs on a cage ( sprints and champ cars) the cam/battery does run cooler. I only use Fotodiox "Go Tough" roll bar mounts. All the best!!

In-car spotter audio is trash. Can barely understand what is being said. Gotta be a better way to do that so we can understand what is being said.
It’s better this week than it was in previous week.
We are talking about radio transmissions through a Sony recording device. It’s not going to be super clear. Doing the best I can. Either I leave it like this and keep working to improve or just remove it entirely and go back to broadcast audio

If you drove a little more aggressively you wouldn't be caught up in so many wrecks..Less cars in front of you less cars too wreck and cause the blind drivers in the back to drive over you. Love watching LMSC brings back memories although I raced on DIRT.
