Rest In Peace Roy Halladay.
RIP.
Damn shame I look up to this man.
So heartbreaking...
Competitorcycle Q
I'm in shock :-(
2007-2011 the Phillies were amazing.
Now they suck lol
Right
Sheen Estevez at least they'll get a top five draft pick next year lol
Yea lol
+Tehnicker #1 pick.
RIP Roy Halladay.... This guy’s last name is on the first ever sports apparel that I have. This man was my role model when I was a kid. This Cy Young winner was my favorite player on my favorite team. This Perfect Game pitcher is one of my favorite players throughout all sports. Harry Leroy Halladay III... 🙏Please keep his family and him in your prayers
1956, 2010, and no others. An absolute thing of beauty.
gynandroidhead 1956 was a Perfect Game. This was a No Hitter. Just clarifying , NOT TAKING AWAY FROM THE FEAT
That 3-2 pitch was very close, although it was a ball. Still an impressive feat in the playoffs.
wrong
@assassin 24 he is talking about the Astros in the world series
RIP Roy! 😭
RIP
Rest in Peace Roy, you will be missed. ~1977-2017~
I just threw a no hitter today for my high school team, dedicated it to this man. One of the best things about this organization. will never forget him. Rest in Peace Roy Halladay.
Congrats man. Are you still playing baseball?
@@duffman18 unfortunately not. Never had what it took to play into college. I took my skills elsewhere, and somehow ended up playing rugby. Life as an athlete goes weird ways sometimes
@@zrob8 At least you made your HS team. People don't realize how good you have to be to make it the professional leagues. It's less than 0.01% that a varsity athlete makes it to the big leagues, all sports, not just baseball.
@@Y_hass oh for sure. Enjoy it while it lasts, cuz you never know when it'll end, but I knew there was little chance of me ever playing past high school. I can't even imagine what it takes to play at a D1 level, much less pro. It's so far beyond what most players can comprehend
He was so close to having 2 perfect games in 1 season. God I miss this
😞 I miss those GREAT Phillies teams from 2007 - 2011
3:20 announcer says "And a bouncer out to ugly" :D
Utley*
+nathan chizmar i thought the same thing
I swear he kept saying ugly!
He did XD
He probably got made fun of alot as a kid
Even though I see the happiness on his face, I can only imagine how that must have felt for him. He was the greatest. Miss him a lot. R.I.P. sir
Rest in peace, Doc. Thank you for all of the memories.
RIP Doc. Always will be remembered. Much love.
12 years ago today
One of the greatest performances in postseason history
Thanks Roy Halladay and rest in peace
How tf was this 12 years ago already 😭 I remember it like it was yesterday and I’m a Mariners fan!
He left his arm on the mound against Carpenter and the Cardinals. Guy was a true ACE and was an absolute thrill to watch every fifth day. So glad he was a Phillie and accomplished this and his perfect game in red pinstripes.
When I was a pitcher in my youth. I used to bring the ball over my head, Just like Doc. In fact, He was who I wanted to emulate. He was great. R.I.P you will not be forgotten.
This was straight up filthiness by halladay! I could not believe this happened!
Almost no one even remembers this. The only n/h that counts is the one from the WS decades earlier.
@@walkiewawtmire627 huh? Ofc people remember this. This is one of only two no hitters in mlb postseason history.
R.I.P. Roy, from a Blue Jays fan. Canada is very sad today. One of the greats has left us far too young. The above video is an example of what a great pitcher Hallady was. That no hitter was almost a perfect game.
Always hope silently that you will pitch for the Yankees. But regardless, im always been a fan of yours. One of the best to ever pitch on the mound in the history of baseball and definitely the best in the eyes of your family, friends and love ones. Given a chance to interview 3 iconic people in this world, you definitely i my priority. So calm and gentle looking yet so tough and fierce in the competition. Rest easy brother, RIP Mr. Roy 'DOC' Halladay. 😭😓😢 you will be miss...
If only it weren't for that one walk in the 4th inning.
He would have been the first pitcher to pitch two perfect games.
+Ryan Ferretti He was the only reason to watch the Blue Jays for quite a while.
Britney waito singing rolling on deep
the 5th inning
hes the only pitcher ever to throw both a perfect game in regular season and a no hitter as well in the post season no pitcher ever has ever done that
RIP Roy Halladay. You were my favorite pitcher to watch growing up as a young kid. We're all gonna miss you. God rest his soul.
Rest in peace. you will be missed. thank-you for the world series. Philly will always love you and remember you. farewell Doc.
RIP to one of my idols. Halladay and Lincecum together were the reason I fell in love with the game. Absolutely heartbroken for his wife and kids.
Fuck, here I am bawling over a man that I never knew. RIP to someone more than a baseball legend, but a good man.
He was from Arvada, COLORADO, thank you very much.
I miss him in Toronto
Rest easy Doc. The man upstairs now has one hell of an Ace on his team.
RIP DOC can't believe what have heard always thank and miss to have seen your fantastic pitch and amazin moment you'd made
The left fielder didn't have to make any plays.
I know in think it was ibanez but you wouldnt know becuase he wasnt even mentioned
One of my fave moments with the doc! He will always remember as my fave phillies pitcher (RIP Roy Halladay 1977-2017, only 40 yrs)😭😭
Rest In Peace my favorite pitcher :( thanks for this and for all...
You will never be forgotten Halladay
The Phillies had Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Hunter Pence, Cole Hamels, Roy Halladay; Cliff Lee, ... and look at them now. This is what happens when you trade Pence for nothing and give Howard and Hamels ridiculous contracts
***** The contract with Hamels is actually quite reasonable considering what comparable free agent pitchers would get. Howard on the other hand is another story...
***** They traded Hunter Pence for Nate Schierholtz. All he has is an amazing throwing arm.
***** Lol how has this garbage been upvoted? Cole Hamels is a bonafide ace and his contract does not handicap the team in any way. They may be bad now, but ask them if they would give up their WS win in 08 for a better team now? Guaranteed they all say hell no
+Kobeee24BRyant No, that is what is called players past their prime. Most players only have a great 3 to 5 years in their career and then they get old and injured. That is what happened to the Phillies today with Howard becoming injured and irrelevant and Halladay becoming old and irrelevant. Cliff Lee was still great, but he was a great player on a losing team with has-beens and crappy young talent.
+CMPUNKSTR8EDGE Hamels is an ace, but the point is that they signed him to a big contract when they should have traded him. They re-signed him in 2012, when it was clear that they were on the downfall and should have began rebuilding instead of trying desperately to hang on to what was left of the '07-'11 dominance. He had the best season of his career in 2012, and could have yielded a HUGE return had they decided to trade him. Granted, he got them a pretty big return this season, but he could have done the exact same 3 years ago and the Phillies would be much further along in their current rebuilding process as a result.
The stuff that legends are made of. Rest In Peace my friend
Rest In Peace Roy Halladay, 6 October 2010 and now 6 October 2019... I will never forget
As a Twins fan I couldn't believe he was gone! One of the best! RIP Roy Halladay.
Just what the Doc ordered!
Took him years to get into the playoffs. And he shows up and pitches a NoNo..wow!! I watched the entire game
.and his stuff was ridiculous!! Back door breaking balls..everything was off the end of the bat! The doc was my favorite of all time. Second was NAILS.
Legend of the game r.i.p I'll never forget that game I said after the third he's got no hit stuff and he kept getting better and by the 7 he shut them down
What a game. What a player. What a man. RIP Roy Halladay.
RIP Roy Halladay. Watching this to remember.
The best pitcher I ever saw.
RIP Roy Halladay. Thank you from Jays Nation.
Rest in peace Roy Halladay
My condolences and prayers to the Halladay family and friends and his Phillies and Blue Jays teammates
Miss ya Doc. Very classy player, my favourite Blue Jay ever.
There will never be another like Doc. I miss him very much.
I miss him. He is an awesome pitcher.

+MorphoPRF it was so obvious
He did it twice in the ninth

Greatest game I’ve ever (and will ever) witnessed in person.
My heart hurts watching this. Rest In Peace Roy.
3:23 "bouncer out to Uggly "😂😂😂😂😂
What a class act!! RIP DOC!!!
one of the best pitchers to don a baseball uniform 👍👍
Great pitching of course, but wow that defense was on point! He didn't fan many of them, and there were some great catches and throws.
RIP a legend is gone
It’s a shame he’s gone☹️ Rest In Peace doc

RIP Doc
R.I.P. "Doc"
R.I.P.
Sleep in peace Roy. 😭
R.I️.P Halliday
I remember I saw this game. First and only no hitter I ever seen. If it wasn't for time warner being so greedy I would of seen Kershaw and my dodgers get a no hitter
Who here 2019
