The Void Titan build is a good one, but I think the reason Chat is dogging on it is that it's not doing anything crazy. We're used to seeing crazy at this point, and it's not doing anything over-the-top. It's a good build, it's just not flashy, which is what people like.
That build is nothing flashy but it chews through content. It also have versatility. Can use Choir, Buried Bloodline, can use Recluse/Funnelweb and use your exotic elsewhere. I can go on on this.
Meanwhile moths are cool however the moths themselves are actually too slow and hinder you, like you don’t want to shoot that enemy because you know they’re dead from the moth they’re trying to avoid, but also the overshield moth you kinda rely on is also not something you can really rely on in team play because they can still just avoid you and go to your teammates and even then they take time to overshield you despite being popped at your feet(as a grenade)
@@hardluckmk.52yeah survivability on Titan is really strong on this build and you don’t have to jump through hoops. It gives me the old contraverse hold build Warlocks used to main pre solar 3.0
The problem is builds no matter what in this game are NOT really deep. Basically every build can be boiled down to “Oh X is doing all the work and Y is just there!” - You’re just spamming turrets and they do all the work - Oh you just dodging and infinitely punching - You’re just spamming Consecration - and I could make every build some unimpressive by saying them all like this - Void Titan has aways been insanely effective but not flashy. The new super adds needed big target damage. Mask of the Quiet One is basically the return of HoIL but on steroids because it replaces the damage buff (and the regen is different but more consistent especially after the time nerf on HoIL) on the abilities with much more safety and the ability to free some fragments because Starvation isn’t needed and personally I usually run Harvest to help with Starvation consistency which isn’t needed either. Also the more safety lets you run Controlled Demolition / Offensive Bulwark more “recklessly” because most people opt for Bastion for the safety but Controlled Demolition and Offensive Bulwark are objectively the best combination as long as you have protection supplemented (Devour, keeping shield up with abilities and/or Repulser Brace). It’s a top notch all around build.
This editor is an absolute boss. The way the music flows with the video is incredible. Moments like 5:01, where Cross is shooting the GL in perfect sync with the beat, show just how well-crafted this is. Fantastic work.
As a moth main, swap out ascension for stylish executioner and it’s so much better. You don’t need ascension, and stylish procs on pretty much every kill cos of the blinding. Helps a lot with the survivability of the build
Stylish over ascension is definitely the way to go. I would also use golden gun as the super so orbs provide restoration and using powerful attraction for easy pick up. You're making so much orbs with this build so its a constant source of healing. Golden gun also provides more raw damage once bosses and higher health enemies spawn in.
One could make the case for threaded specter for survivability too in other pieces of content, but yeah Stylish and Gunpowder are the GOAT combo here. It's only gonna get stronger once ignitions and ex diris damage are fixed too.
It's REALLY good right!? Been using it on Strand Hunter with Mothkeepers. Overshields, Blinding, the Catty with Ionic Traces/Faster Overcharge it can put out some real decent damage!
for anyone confused on why Diris' shots keep blowing up in Cross' face, Scorn projectiles (and maybe others I'm not sure) have active hurtboxes. They'll block all sorts of projectile based weapons from GLs to rocket sidearms. also some grenades, if not all. Well, yeah. The Hunter build looked flashier while dying. Therefore, better. This is the Destiny community we're talking about. They just like the pretty lights and colors.
Dude, if you're having a scratchy throat, Natural honey helps alot. Just a tablespoon. Honey in tea, peanut butter and honey sammiches. Honey is great for a scratchy throat.
That titan build is just good stuff. Mask of the Quiet One is a “Goodstuff” exotic the same way many of the strongest exotics are. Buried Bloodline does the same thing and it appears in so many builds not because it does anything special, or flashy, or crazy damage numbers with specific execution, but because it grants easy and frequent access to Devour. If there were an exotic that changed the nature of an ability, that made you jump through an actual mental hoop in order to gain Devour for a longer duration, that would be more interesting. But things like this are just slapping on generic “I’m stronger” things. No unique mechanics, no gameplay loop separate from “shoot bullet”, it feels, and looks, like you don’t even have an exotic, you just have the strength of one. Which is why funky weapons and literal game changers (not in terms of disproportionate power, but literally feeling like a different game) like Mothkeepers and Ex Diris will always be proportionally more popular among the playerbase than streamers and self-claimed “Destiny 2 experts.”
Well mask does combo into my build. It helps with grenade regen a lot. Basically it goes grenade, get kills to proc devour, shield throw to get overshield, kill enemies to get grenade back, repeat. I 100% understand your point but there is a gameplay loop with it.
My two main Titan builds rn are stasis icefall and void mask of the quiet one. The void being a tad bit better. I’ve tried both on prismatic but there’s so much more survivability with their respective subclass. Although mask build did wayyy better than icefall on prismatic.
On moth build, change to specter and switch to smoke bomb. Use artifact perk take grants devour on rapid weakness kill. Use the two together on a group to proc. Rocking devour now with more grenade and survival. Then you can lean into the mods to regenerate smoke bombs and dodge.
I really liked the ex driis, I was using it in the final shape campaign and it was doing pretty well for me. Especially the increase fire rate saved me from death a couple times too (before the buff)
Dude I have never used ex diris until this morning these buffs to it are insane and it makes it extremely fun and it’s actually good for ad clearing and dps
I love moths on base strand cos of whirling maelstrom, woven mail, a third moth grenade and dealing any damage generates grenades. Also sever from melee. My fave hunter build ahead of void gyrgalcons and prismatic caliban syntho threaded spike.
Let's be real. There are so many builds that flourish when you have tons of ads. I want to see him take a build that will flourish in a solo lost sector or solo GM. now that would be a build worth trying.
What prismatic set up would've been better if i may ask? I'm always looking for new builds. I messed around with it and it felt like my ability regen was slower and the aspects didn't feel like they benefited me on prismatic.
Ive been enjoying using Glacier grenades this season now that consecration will shatter the crystals. The grenade regen from having devour up means you almost always have a glacier grenade to throw. Pairing it with Diamond Lance. Overall just has a more enjoyable playstyle for my taste at least. Pair that with the right fragments and you’ll find you always have transcendence available too
Honestly after months and months of nothing but using prismatic having these normal subclasses is a breath of fresh air lol Im glad the mothkeeper build is good now. I used basically the same thing back in the day, but it was only good in low level stuff.
Yall crazy man had no problems on titan build then boasted about the "over shield and great suvivability" from the moths after dying 42 times in 10 rounds. And the damage sucked on moth build.
Menthol beads/pearls help with cough (think you might have to get them from a dr.), or over the counter chloraseptic drops work better than a lot of other regular cough drops. There's some cold and flu alkazeltser drops that work pretty good too, if you're achey. Also, try fighting lion instead of finding a fragment for volitile on the mask of the quiet one build to help make use of controlled demolition. It fks pretty hard now after the rework. You'll still be doing the same loop, and can still use a special if you want. Since fighting lion is primary ammo. Edit: If you NEED a pulse for unstop, can use Elsie's with destabilizing rounds. Not too partial of that perk, but with another strong exotic it should work out still.
OG Onslaught is tougher solely by the existence of boss type Toms. Subjugators can be be burned down fairly quickly. Boss Toms? If you don’t have some type of precision damage you’re basically fucked
Your average Destiny players don't play with a mmo ability chaining mindset. They just turn brain off and pew pew. I'm gonna give Mask of the Quiet One a go.
Before the rework I actually use to use Mask of the Quiet One in PvP I loved it cuz it was pretty good at letting me survive secondary attackers. It wasn't very powerful but I like that I didn't have to think about it or use it strategically. Just pop and play.
I havent seen anyone say it yet but if you use bitter/sweet on the moth build then you get the bonus damage from the artifact perk if the enemy is affected by a stasis debuff. =)
Yeah, I’m using the bittersweet with my build and it’s a must. Also you’ve got to utilize those grenades because that’s what’s keeping you alive. I also run two specials. Another grenade launcher in the kinetic slot like the lost signal makes a major difference. And I never run out of ammo.
And yes, you have to watch those moths because if you hit them, they will blow you up and kill you. That’s why every time I kill something I stick and move before I shoot again so I know I don’t hit those moths
I’ve been running this build for over a month and I literally haven’t seen anyone else running it. now, I’m sure I’ll see a shit load of people running it
Also, you have to utilize your heavy. Watch your special ammo and when it gets low, start using your heavy to clear some ads and you’ll get a butt load of special ammo everywhere. If you put the mods on correctly.
Hey cross I use a moth keeper all the time facet of dominance still works if you have any other grenade on for example I use dust field for the lower cool down and it still applies jolt bc moths are coded as a arc grenade regardless what you have equipped
I the same void build, but i like using Collective obligation. You can basically have volatile rounds and ammo regen 100% of the time due to Masks synergy. Its actually insane, esspecially if you throw in weaken grenades with the weaken explosion artifact perk.
Titan build was robded , 0 deaths and fastest clear by your own words and good sinergy vs another braindead Hunter build with multiple deaths and almost ridicolous dps on a high dps class. Thats why theres few titans left, we like to think and play not to press and play
Ive mained moth keepers since it came out! Only real reason why i play hunter🤣 its so fun! Refrshing game play. Only complaint i have is i wish moths were faster, sometimes you feel like you gotta slow down on the slaying out just to let the moths do their thing
I just grinded like 15 onslaught matches for the Elsie’s with repulsor and destabilizing rounds just to use it with my quiet one mask. I was using the iron banner pulse with the same perks but the Elsie’s gives grenade recharge much faster. The old onslaught is way more fun than the new one
My only issue with this video was that the same Onslaught was not run for both builds. It's hard to judge each builds survivability when the are trialed in different Onslaughts. Personality I think survivability is a major factor in the viability of a build along with DPS, add control, and ease of synergy of the different perks and abilities.
Titan build is pretty good however what might make it better would be substituting controlled demo for bastion and switching out vigilance for instability for volatile rounds
Yeah i made a different version of it that used what ya said. I thought i wasn't gonna be featured cause i got an eggplant refund. Luckily i still kept the original one.
Controlled Demolition is most definitely better. I tend not to find stopping power to be an issue so I’ll have some Repulser Brace weapon to have 100% uptime on Offensive Bulwark.
in the first build u can also get devour from the artifackt whit supernova in row 5 and power from pain in row 3 and if u use a grenade launcher u can also use concussive reload in row4
About the titan build Couldn't you just pick orbs for devour on void subclass? I mean maybe it would be useful in prismatic because you can't get devour easily like void subclass
It frees up a fragment. I tried making a prismatic build and none of them flowed that well. Also the orbs grant nerfed devour while motqo grants unnerfed devour.
Yes, but Mask gives it to you for just getting consecutive kills, AND kills when your shields are broken, AND gives a small health bump, AND general ability energy, AND frees up a fragment slot.
The King's Build is the clear winner for me. I haven't touched Mask, but after seeing this build's survivability, ad clear, ability synergy, support capability, and weapons versatility, it made me a believer!
I have been using a very similar build with the hunter, though I switched the primary to the Something New with Wellspring and Demolitionist to get my grenade back even faster. Insane survivability and ability usage. I played around with using tether to get devour with the new artifact and it can do work but its hard to continue to keep devour up after

i recently started using moths for the first time like this and its amazing
Cross shooting his own moth and die confused is my favorite moment.
I was so excited when I found Aztecross in an LFG for trials this past weekend. Then later saw that he started playing trials with another group. I thought I was finally going to see the lighthouse. 😢
12:27 cinematic aah melee finish.
titan doesn't die on harder onslaught but hunter wins...yeah ok lmao
Well, yeah. The Hunter build looked flashier while dying. Therefore, better. This is the Destiny community we're talking about. They just like the pretty lights and colors.
it's not about who dies or doesn't die. if it was, he'd be running dungeons solo flawless. settle down
It’s because there’s a million Hunter mains and like 100 of us Titans.
@@nathanjones8667 ah yes cause only titans can vote for the titan build. i forgot we as humans don't have the power of choice
@@Lv6_Esper only locks and Titans are unbiased. Hunters glaze other hunters.
Mask of quite one and Tommy’s matchbox is a great combo on prismatic titan
I thought Mask only worked on a Void Subclass?
@@nullandvoid7524it does but prismatic is all of them remember void super and grenade i don’t remember what else is in the prismatic kit for titan.
@@nullandvoid7524 on a void super, not subclass
@@DragonKnight90001 void shield throw...
@@dewadekkrisna3553 cheers
My two main Titan builds rn are stasis icefall and void mask of the quiet one. The void being a tad bit better. I’ve tried both on prismatic but there’s so much more survivability with their respective subclass. Although mask build did wayyy better than icefall on prismatic.
On moth build, change to specter and switch to smoke bomb. Use artifact perk take grants devour on rapid weakness kill. Use the two together on a group to proc. Rocking devour now with more grenade and survival. Then you can lean into the mods to regenerate smoke bombs and dodge.
Swap Graviton for Collective Obligation, it slaps with mask hard because it never needs to be reloaded and constant 3 buff uptime.
I think in a nightfall collective would be 100% better but for onslaught graviton is better.
the sickness edits were hilarious
Just used this build and really enjoyed it.
I really liked the ex driis, I was using it in the final shape campaign and it was doing pretty well for me. Especially the increase fire rate saved me from death a couple times too (before the buff)
I’m sorry I’m gonna pick the Titan for the win on this one
I'm running a similar Hunter build and it's so much fun and I'm usually always the one with the highest kills
Your editor is god tier 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Dude I have never used ex diris until this morning these buffs to it are insane and it makes it extremely fun and it’s actually good for ad clearing and dps
Ascension with the chestpiece would go crazy here 👀
Mothkeepers, you should use grapple so you get 2 grenades charges and special ammo finder and special finisher. Never run out of ammo for it.
I love moths on base strand cos of whirling maelstrom, woven mail, a third moth grenade and dealing any damage generates grenades. Also sever from melee. My fave hunter build ahead of void gyrgalcons and prismatic caliban syntho threaded spike.
what about the mask of the quiet one build with collective obligation?
Let's be real. There are so many builds that flourish when you have tons of ads. I want to see him take a build that will flourish in a solo lost sector or solo GM. now that would be a build worth trying.
The fog horn during the cough 😂
The moths from the gun also proc blind and jolt. They are coded as grenades, supposedly
Mask of the Quiet One does work on Prismatic as long as you use a void super. Much more potent than the void build shown here
What prismatic set up would've been better if i may ask? I'm always looking for new builds. I messed around with it and it felt like my ability regen was slower and the aspects didn't feel like they benefited me on prismatic.
Ive been enjoying using Glacier grenades this season now that consecration will shatter the crystals. The grenade regen from having devour up means you almost always have a glacier grenade to throw. Pairing it with Diamond Lance. Overall just has a more enjoyable playstyle for my taste at least. Pair that with the right fragments and you’ll find you always have transcendence available too
Honestly after months and months of nothing but using prismatic having these normal subclasses is a breath of fresh air lol
Im glad the mothkeeper build is good now.
I was just thinking that regular onslaught is way tougher than salvation onslaught. Especially moth yards
OG Onslaught is tougher solely by the existence of boss type Toms. Subjugators can be be burned down fairly quickly.
Boss Toms? If you don’t have some type of precision damage you’re basically fucked
Did the tripmines in og onslaught get buffed to the stasis ones?
Your average Destiny players don't play with a mmo ability chaining mindset. They just turn brain off and pew pew. I'm gonna give Mask of the Quiet One a go.
Hey lmk what ya think of it! I'm glad you enjoyed my build
Chroma Rush with Kinetic Tremors REALLY helps with those Grim
Before the rework I actually use to use Mask of the Quiet One in PvP I loved it cuz it was pretty good at letting me survive secondary attackers. It wasn't very powerful but I like that I didn't have to think about it or use it strategically. Just pop and play.
@@supersizesenpai Now it'll do it better, and give you ability energy back.
If you’re worried about range attacks, you can always put on the call. With lead for gold and you never have to worry about ammo
I feel like collective would be great for nightfalls
I have that titan build saved dude!
"Slice would have watched it" made me lol
Titan build was robded , 0 deaths and fastest clear by your own words and good sinergy vs another braindead Hunter build with multiple deaths and almost ridicolous dps on a high dps class. Thats why theres few titans left, we like to think and play not to press and play
Waiting on a Mask of Fealty build/episode
For the moth build, you need gl to weaken. That is where your missing your damage.
Ive mained moth keepers since it came out! Only real reason why i play hunter🤣 its so fun! Refrshing game play. Only complaint i have is i wish moths were faster, sometimes you feel like you gotta slow down on the slaying out just to let the moths do their thing
17:30 blind does not stun overload, it stuns unstoppable, jolting is what stuns overload
@@amorfati4927 how would controlled demolition be better?
@@KingOfKingsXIV can you send a link in this comment
@daudaslam7871 sure. It's a little different but I'll send it.
Edit: So the dim link disappeared so unfortunately i can't send it
Moth keepers are peak onslaught fun. And witherhoard. Yes.
in the first build u can also get devour from the artifackt whit supernova in row 5 and power from pain in row 3 and if u use a grenade launcher u can also use concussive reload in row4
About the titan build
Couldn't you just pick orbs for devour on void subclass? I mean maybe it would be useful in prismatic because you can't get devour easily like void subclass
It frees up a fragment. I tried making a prismatic build and none of them flowed that well. Also the orbs grant nerfed devour while motqo grants unnerfed devour.
Frees fragment and gives you 5% ability energy every second (it’s every time you get hit 1 second cooldown).
Thanks man! Glad you liked it.
i like now all comes with mouthkeepers build after Plunder post his build :))
I have been using a very similar build with the hunter, though I switched the primary to the Something New with Wellspring and Demolitionist to get my grenade back even faster. Insane survivability and ability usage. I played around with using tether to get devour with the new artifact and it can do work but its hard to continue to keep devour up after
and switch out ascension for the dodging slows enemies
I’ve been using gyrfalcons and choir of one and it absolutely destroys. I’ll have to try the moth build
Keep GL for the waves leading up to the boss. Throw on Choir for Boss
Yo that music is fire they need to add music like this in the game
