My thoughts exactly. It does sound like the Carpeners. A nice upgrade from 90s pop to 70's style ballad, which makes the song more mature.

You have an absolutely stunning voice, and I can't get over how beautifully this song translates to such a different style. And I have to second or third or something the feeling that you remind me of Karen Carpenter, without sounding like you're parroting her voice. Wonderful!

Just heard this song on Paul O' Grady's Radio 2 show; I thought it was a lost Carpenters track until the start of the first chorus. Knocks the S Club 7 original into a cocked hat :)

I too heard this on Graham Norton 23/3/19 as a long time Karen Carpenter fanatic it got my attention to the point that I had to come looking to see who it was. Nice version and well performed, now off to explore more .
