I've had the H30 for about 8 months now, and have zero complaints! It's literally the perfect bike for someone like me, a converted roadie looking to explore the backcountry and cover long distances and never plans to do big jumps or aggressive DH. The trail geo with the steep seat tube angle keeps me comfortable on long rides while feeling sprightly uphill, and there is more than enough DH capability for any trail I'd bother to try with my horrible technical skills. The 140mm of travel helps to cover up for my mistakes as well
I'm riding the H10 for nearly a year now. I'm f*** loving it. 😍 It is so well balanced, looks awesome and feels just great up and down. I only upgraded my discs, went tubeless and put some protection foil on it. The painting is quite sensitive. I can totally recommend it. 👍🏼 Cheers from Germany
I was after a high end alu bike but couldn’t find anything that ticked my boxes, so instead i bought one of these based off your last video and upgraded all the components with 150 up front. Really impressed with the build quality of this frame, and the paint finish is superb - even at the lower spec its still a solid bike. I don't know why they don't get more attention.
So my Occam H20 arrived today , fully built with no instructions or parts. Imagine my delight when i noticed my seat has a dropper post 😂😂. Its a gorgeous bike and bigger and chunkier than any of the videos have shown. Cannot wait to get it out and get it dirty.

Very interesting video - I ordered a H20 because of the pandemic, when ordering it had a shorter lead time. 9 months later and my bike is finally going into production next week.
I have a 2021 Occam h30 (the cheapest version) and love it. But, I recommend choosing the Fox DPX2 as rear damper instead of the Fox DPS if you're planning on doing any kind of rougher downhill. Going down a smooth track is no problem but the Fox DPS is just to small for a normal sized dude going down a rock garden. The front fork, M. Bomber Z2, have no problem with rougher terrain.
Hi Johan and rest. On some forums some owners state that they find the H30 a little heavy. In your opinion this is an all purpose bike? I always need to ride several kms on tracks to get to the paths and trails. I come from a EPIC Comp and now looking for something more confortable. At 56 back hurts :-). Thanks for your comments
@@MrAlpontino I think the Occam is a good all-rounder aimed at enduro styled riding. For me it feels lightweight and stable since I mostly ride burly and rocky terrain and compare with heavier enduro bikes. For pure cross-country biking there are better choices.

I have exacly the same bike since 2 years and i love it. And yes you're right, the firs thing is ugrade brakes. I did this on my previous bike and upgraded to magura mt-5, cheap and very good brakes. The only thing that bug me is tire-rim ratio. The rim is 25c and the front tire is 2.5. It looks litte strange 2.5 tire on this small rim. It's also WT Tire which is optimized for 30mm rim actually.
Great video! Beautiful color bike. When you're doing fanny packs I get nervous. Hopefully maybe new bike this year, settled for great 1K deal on a 10 yr. old, hardly used fezzari Alta Peak for now. Nice longer travel and the 26 in wheel forces you to rehone your technical skills.
I got a 2021 H20 over the H30 purely because I got a great deal. But I’m a member of some Orbea Occam owners forums and have heard great things about the H30. @@eightlivesdownmtb thanks for your swift reply mate. I will def be upgrading to the 150mm. Was it fairly straightforward to fit the shaft?
@@OutandaboutWalking Check out Syd Fixes Bikes - she has a UA-cam how-to, but it’d take your LBS less than an hour to swap them.

My new saracen has shimano deore 12. It's smooth compared to my sram 12 sx which constantly needs tweaks.
If I order it online, how long does it takes to get one?
I'm 5'10 and looking to buy one of these, they recommend a large but the reach is bigger than my current lg which is making me wary. Would anyone suggest sticking with their sizing or going down a size?
I’m 6’1” and have a large H20. I tried the XL and it felt huge.
I'm 5"9 and ride a h20 in medium. Got a 170 dropper instead of the 150 and it fits me liiike aaa glllooove (if you don't read that in an ace venture voice, watch the clip on UA-cam!)
Will it handle downhill?
Oh boy
15kg240 en taille M pour mon H30 2022
It's not a Deore 12 speed they put on a Sun Race 11-51T cassette.
Nice weight
Hi guys WARNING: .. I owning the H30 for 6 months. Its a lovely bike ( brakes swapped ) . However there is a WEAK SPOT! Upper Shock Bolt snaps fairly easy. Please check it often because it can ruin your frame if you fail to notice it in time!!!
Sounds obvious but what exactly would the symptom be of the snapped bolt, and what would it look like? Would it be pretty obvious that its snapped?
@@ericrollins4607 you would hear strange noise coming from the frame. Cracking noise. The bolt can move so it would poking out more, and you could turn it endlessly without fastening it. Eventually you could pull out half of it. :)
32lb? I better check my scale. I have h10 and it’s 34lb.
this weight is completely wrong 😱
Sx egel is better
Gracias por el video, pero deberias mostrar mas la bici y menos tu cara, es solo una sugerencia. Saludos
