You have been leaving me some questions and comment requests in my youtube channel asking about this, so here we go :)
Sometimes can be hard to delete the background paper from our watercolor paintings, but after many trial and error I figured out the best ways to do it!
In this short video I'm teaching you two simple ways to delete the background from your paintings and save them with transparent background, ready to use for any design you need.

Thanks Kim! Happy to hear that :)
thank you x
Thank you
Very helpful..thank you so much
Glad to hear that!
Nice
I love the absolute clarity with which you explain, thank you! However, for more complex floral illustrations of mine, I find that when I use the magic wand, the cut when you zoom in isn't very clean, it looks messy and has a super narrow jagged whitish edge, unless I go over again with a lasso tool and manually erase and clean.I don't know if what I said makes sense, haha but I'm wondering if there is an easier way that would not otherwise take hours :(
Thanks for your comment!!! I think I know what you mean, sometimes it happens to me when I have softer borders. In those cases I use the second technique from the video, like that I mantain the transparency and I don't need to have a hard cut... Don't know if I'm explaining myself well hahaha
Other times I also use the Quick Selection Tool underneath the same group of the magic wand, and instead of selecting the white paper, I select the illustration itself.
Hope this helps :)
Heartmade that definitely helped- using the quick selection to select the illustration itself is a good idea
Thank you again!
YAY! Happy to hear that :)
By the way, if you have time (only when you got any chance),would you please guide how to use level and curve since these are so scary to use, really complicated. Thanks a lot once again for the wonderful tutorial!
Thanks for the request Kim! I'll let you know once the video is uploaded :)
Hi Kim!! Just wanted to let you know that I did the video you requested me :) I hope you find it easier now to use levels and curves. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/ZZ5w3xCzSWw/v-deo.html
