- In this Photoshop tutorial you will learn a few ways to remove that white edge that sometimes appear when we cut out a background. The first method I show is the typical approach made by most people, however the second is more unique and is not what most people think to do.

Thanks for sharing. This was helpful for me
I love you so much
Thanks a lot, this is exactly what I was searching for!
But do you have now a transparant background or a black one?
Transparent. The black background is on a different layer.
For beginners only. Not for pro😊
Explaining for 9 minutes what can be done in just 1 minute...
EXACTLY
how much can a human talk....8 min talk 52 sec of info
5 years later and still one of the best and easiest explainings. thx
why dont we just click "remove background" button or smart select? is it because of the age of the video?
Ah, this is great! I've been doing it "the wrong way" and this masking method is making life so much easier! Thanks for such a clear and to-the-point tutorial.
Good explanation, I also, use the lasso tool in the Select and Mask feature in Photoshop 2023. For some herd areas to mask that have irregular shapes.
you lost me...Comman Shift or Control Shift I do not work on my Mac in photoshop....
what a genius teacher!!!!!! subscribed, liked! Thank you
thanks my friend
Why show us the bad method ... just show us the good method and shorten the vid by 6 mins
No kidding
Thank you!!!! Right to the point, clear cut and easy.
Thank you so much for the help. This would have saved me a few hours if I found this sooner
Thank you for the great tutorial, I was struggling with my image. Followed your second method. Now I know how to get that glow around your picture :)
Try Filter -others-minimum if works 👍
Yo can I send you something and you do it for me?
bothe methods did not work for me
I would recommend using layer matte tools to remove white matte, or using minimum filter on the mask to bring it in nicely. More effective on easy and difficult masks.
Thanks for the minimum filter tip, that worked awesome for me!
this tip is crazy thank U
Matting is greyed out for me for some reason
i am not really familiar with photoshop, would be easier you name the type of tool, they are so tiney, can't see them really?
no such thign as takex or etc, say, can say infix any nmw and any s perfect
That is the most incoherent comment I have ever read 😂
when i click on select and mask PS open the window but doesnshowme smooth, feather, contras, etc options only the first part of the properties ... anyone knows why ? thank you
This was so so helpful! So concise and easy to follow, thank you :)
Why when i choose black and white..my image become white??
you are a fcking GOD
Thanks man.. Sub 🤩🤩
Informative video. One question though, what if the image is more complicated with multi-colored background? A video on this topic will be very helpful sir....thanks..
then you barely see the white lines and there is no point in 100% removing them? dont get it what is your question? you mean foreground object is multi-colored?
@@PicyPoe Okay, let me explain; let's take any regular image that we snap. For say, a man standing in front of a bunch of flowers. So, the background of the man is complicated with different colors now. If we cut the man out of this kind of images, is it going to give me 100% of the man intact out of this complicated background? Thanks for your reply in advance..
How do you do without the layers though? I used to do it in PSP5 and it was not there at all.
WTF did you show us the wrong way of doing it first, what a complete waste of time that was.
The Devil is in the detailssss... TY so muchh, i've been doing the keyDelete thing for quite a bit, this have just made my work easier and cleaner. GG, GJ, TY!!!
Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to defringing in Apple's Motion app? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
