I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.
I have been making pasta fagioli for awhile in the insta pot and I have found it comes out better if you cook the pasta separately and dump it in after the rest is cooked.
I need these. Pregnant with baby #5 here and don't want to cook anything lol. If you have it in the cards I really could use some more IP lunch ideas. I love your chicken and sweet potato in the IP for lunch.
I will try the chicken fiesta.. I am ready for new recipes and cheap way to grocery shop and meal plan with instant pot for atleast a week. We barely do soups and ground beef. I have cooked cabbage, potatoes and sausage and it was soooo yummy.
Did I miss the type and amount of chicken in the Fiesta Chicken recipe? I thought it wouldn’t matter, but there’s no written recipe in the Description Box...
Oh, man, was listening to your video and clicked over to check facebook... I thought something in my house was about to blow up when you set the instapot and it was beeping...
So I did the Fiesta Chicken and froze it in a ziplock bag a few weeks ago. Decided to throw it in my IP today and guess what? Would not fit in my 6 qt because of the shape it froze into 😫 Ended up having to hack off the corners with a big knife and luckily it then fit into my 8 qt IP, phew!!! Note to self, freeze it in a circular container that fit the IP😜
I about flipped out when that little cutie did a squirt if ketchup on the last dish! Between that and the mispronunciations having Italian viewers may not be a priority😆
We're preparing for a long trip with our camper and are trying your freezer meals. The Fiesta Chicken was great!!! However we learned a few things, since we're trying to go from the freezer to the pot. 1st don't put the rice on the bottom, some of it burned being it was a frozen block. 2nd after cleaning the burned rice from the bottom of the pot (yep we got the Burn Notice), we put the now somewhat thawed meal in a Instapot basket with small holes in it and some feet on the bottom. We also added 2 more cups of water, since most was absorbed already. We learned some valuable stuff and think we can be successful with the next meal, by keeping the frozen blob off the bottom with a basket of some sort. All in all this was one very hardy meal. Thank you for taking the time to post it.
I'm glad you felt good enough to go fishing in AK! When I was pregnant, motion-sickness was exacerbated...not fun!! Love you freezer meals and IP recipes and have just started watching your AF videos...they look amazing, as well!!
I’m wondering if you used the whole box of that tiny pasta? You said you were putting all of it in the video and then the recipe says one cup. I’m making some right now and I only used one cup so I will see how mine turns out in a minute.😊
These three recipes sound so yummy ! All the ingredients that are in them we like so I know that adding them in a bag together that by the time I thaw and cook them the flavors will have time to really be enhanced and be delicious! Easy meals that are ready to go into a S/C or IP that you get to just dump and go are so convenient to have on those busy days that have you in a time crunch or on days when you may not be feeling so well. Meals for your family that are easy ,delicious, healthy, and economical just can’t be beat! Blessings!❤️
I’m so so done with chili powder fiesta Tex mex and. Cumin. How about some Spinach Florentine something or Apricot Chicken or Apple and onion pork something? Ur daughters are totally adorable 🤗
I’ve tried the fiesta chicken recipe twice. I’m sorry to say it doesn’t work on either high or low pressure. I don’t think it’s my IP because it works fine for other recipes, really seem to struggle to create enough steam to create enough pressure and then just Burns the food. I even tried Upping the water to 4 cups, same result.
Instead of tomato soup add one container of Prego, less beef broth, one small can sauce, 2 tablespoons of Italian spices, garlic, one can white chili beans, and parmesan cheese, along with all you have. Trust me it is good. Celery, carrots, also. French garlic bread with butter and garlic and a small salad.
On the one with the tiny noodles, any reason not to put the noodles in the IP first then the meat and liquid? That way the noodles are covered in liquid for sure.
@julietbartolo, yes you would think that would be better. Just stir together so you doing get IP to say "Burn" on the screen. I would put the noodles in first.
Ketchup is very bad for you. It has high fructose corn syrup. That goes straight to you liver. Being young she is OK. If you have A1C issues ketchup is badddd!
Followed the recipe exactly….I just tried the Fiesta chicken recipe got the burn notice turned it off added some water got the burn notice again so I finished cooking it in the microwave but it’s tasty!
Hi! Question on the fiesta chicken recipe. The video shows your pressure is at high but the instructions in the notes say to use Low. If you get a chance, please clarify. BTW - my husband is soon retiring so he's going to take over the cooking chores. I'm trying to train him in on the instant pot and your recipes/videos are a huge help!
Lots of flavor coming from salt but will look for lower alternative. Beef Sounds tasty. Love getting the low sodium broths. Tee hee, You picked the wrong daughter to try the pasta!
She splained about rice rinsing a while back. Apparently she took a Betty Crocker class (err some such) and learned it’s not necessary. But, just do what you normally do…

That fiesta chicken kind of looks like paste. I don't think I would drain the RoTel.

The morning sickness shouldn't last much longer. Then maybe you can do your taste tests. I don't mind seeing your girls grow up tho.

Love your channel and website!!! Your chicken zucchini noodle casserole is one of our favorites!!!
What kind of cheese did you use on the sliders?
@Cindyrivers it was probably provolone. It was round and cut in quarters.
