Being disabled, this is great for me.
On the days I'm doing well, I can prep freezer meals.
On the days when I feel like a rusty Tin Man, I can pop one of these in my Instant Pot.
No babysitting required. Which is great because I can't stand over the stove for too long.
And, hardly any dishes to wash.
Hi Ana! I was wondering if I could use your comment as a review about our freezer meals? Could you email me at Kristen@sixsistersstuff.com ?
I totally agree. I'm a double amputee and when I have the bad days, I can still feed my family a great meal
Really needed this today! My daughter was scheduled to be induced last Friday as she is a type 1 diabetic with her baby girl. Our plan was to spend one more mother/ daughter day together prepping freezer meals before her induction. Baby had other plans and her water broke before we got started. So mama is going to get some of these together for the family. Best wishes to you and for a healthy delivery!
Sending good wishes prayer and congrats your way.
Bless your family! I remember those times. My girls are adults now but both were high risk pregnancies & deliveries. Btw family & my best, best friend, I was able to rest while tending to the girls, esp the youngest who nursed every hour on the hour day & night for weeks on end. Our oldest was 10yrs old at the time. It really does take a village; I don’t care what anyone says. It takes a village.
Both our girls have made it clear that we’ll have grand-puppies & grand-kittens but no grand babies. So, we have two grand-cats (Siamese & a tortoise shell) & one grand-puppy (teenage smokey blue pit bull). They’re well behaved but spoiled too.
Congratulations on your newest grand-baby. I hope your daughter does well. I know it’s always a risk with diabetes. My husband is a type I diabetic. He was dx’d at 4yrs old. He’s 59 now. It takes a toll.
Sending prayers and well wishes to you and your daughter for a healthy baby!! Congratulations!!
@@sammi-joreviews1135 thank you for your sweet words. She had a beautiful healthy 6lb 14oz baby girl. Both mama and baby are doing well. I will be there every chance I get to help cook and clean. Daddy is home for two weeks so she definitely has help for now.
@@CaffeinatedInFL thank you so much! She had a beautiful and healthy 6lb 14 oz baby girl💕 Both are doing great.
They don't sell most of these cans were I live in Europe. It's fascinating to see how many pre-made ingredients there are available in the US. All the sauces and salsas are only available at expat shops (if they are available) and are expensive! Things like cans of corn or beans we do have but all the Mexican stuff like beans with peppers are not available. I do sometimes make homemade salsas or other Mexican sauces but that's a lot of extra work.
You're ready for baby! You don't need a stroller or a crib, especially the first few months. I miss how simple newborns can be, compared to my teens LOL.
Teens let you sleep and can feed them self.
Of course you do.... this isnt the dark ages
We are so excited! A few freezer meals tucked away and a few more items and we are set to go!!
@@amyclark9581 babywearing and co sleeping or a bassinet is not the dark ages LOL. Carriers are very advanced these days, or they can be so simple like a wrap or a mei tai or a ring sling. It's also a great way for older siblings to participate
@@TracyKMainwaring you should really stop while you're ahead... you sound so ignorant and desperate for attention
Cooked rice freezes very well and can be heated in microwave very easy. As a fast side to meals.
I have listen to so many different people doing this and you make this so simple and easy to follow. I have yet found anyone else that has accomplished this. Thank you so much. This has made my life so much easier and less stressful. Awsome job!!!
Omg this is perfect! I'm pregnant with my 4th and been wrecking my brain on freezer instant pot meals, thanks!! And congratulations, hope you have a smooth delivery with a healthy beautiful girl! ❤️❤️
Thanks Crystal and congrats to you! Freezer meals are perfect for those first few weeks after the baby comes!
I got a small chest freezer 15 years ago. It has saved us a lot of money and is still going strong. Something to consider.
I love that you show all the steps and then to top it off, you plate the meal. I appreciate you and your time.
Thank you so much. We are so glad you stopped by!
I didn't see a link pop up for your special announcement video
These look great!
I cant find it either
Same here !
How do we did the announcement ?
@@lapdogshoesnogmuppet5692 I wonder if it was an old clip, since this is a montage, and the announcement is no longer relevant
To remember spice mixes write on a paper plate and put the spices next to their label. Easy to tip in and you can remember to tell us what is going in.
Big tip: just fold over the top of the ziploc bag when throwing stuff in it. You don't need that green plastic thing.
We love our freezer bag holders! We've tried everything and fell in love with these handy holders. Have a terrific week!
@@SixSistersStuff just a tip for folks who don't have them. 🤩
Thank you so much for this video! My daughters are home from college so I’m cooking for 4 again - and believe it or not, they’re always hungry! Haha. I especially like that you showed us what it looks like when you make them for dinner.
Freezer meals are great for college students!
You guys should make all your freezer meals into a cook book!
Oh she’s almost here! 🤰🏼💜 We are never fully ready, but she will be surrounded by love! Freezer meals are always good to have, when mom is exhausted & anyone can help with getting dinner ready! Tfs ❤️ stay healthy & safe! 😷👶🏼
Thanks Maggie!

Awww! Such a Pretty pregnant Gal! Beautiful baby belly! :) Best wishes Kristin! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! Not much longer!
I wish you would tell us coking times from frozen. I’m a new Instant Pot owner and am not sure how long frozen (prepped) takes to cook. I made dump & go style chili (prepped 6 bags) and forgot to take it last night. I LOVE your channel so much!!!
congrats enjoy ur channel
Thanks so much! Enjoy the freezer meal recipes.
My son use to stay in one of those lay down strollers or playpen on the side of my bed at first with extra mattress. I wanted him right beside me it was easier for feedings too. Plus I would worry if I couldn't hear or see him. Lol
It was a basinette playpen. I never had trouble with a regular playpen but they say good for nap not overnight in regular playpen.
This is so perfect m! Baby girls C-section is scheduled for 2/2/22 so 1. I feel the same way, not ready! And 2. I need to prep meals! 💖💖💖
We are due about the same time!! Best of luck and so happy for you!
@@SixSistersStuff good luck to you as well!!
Congratulations on your baby
Thank you so much Jenny!
These all sound great. Is there a way to cook the Fiesta Chicken in a slow cooker? I'm trying to make freezer meals for someone that doesn't have an Instant Pot.
Do you have a written recipe or video for your Asian salad?? I'm very curious as to how you make it - it looks delicious! Thanks
You can take a owl of old water and, submerge the bag until it reaches down below the Ziploc and it will take all the air out and it will mimic a where the sealer that takes all the air out and there will be less air in your freezer bags.
Love that baby bump and thanks for helping us out with food ideas when you are so busy getting ready for your birth.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We are so happy to help!
Can you put some of these in the crockpot in the morning? I’m kinda a crockpot queen lol. I use the instant pot too but sometimes I have to have my 16 yr old to finish it off so my husband can eat before work because I’m not home yet . Love y’all ❤️ congratulations on your little miracle 💕💕
Never mind you answer this further in video should have waited 😉
hi there, for the Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli recipe, if we decided to steam the brocoli out of the IP, what would be the pressurized cooking time for the beef and the sauce in the IP?
Do you have a book with all your freezer bag meals?
I can't wait to make the beef and broccoli meal. Can wecook/bake meals then freeze? Thanks
Lol like you read my mind 🤣 thanks
I found you can substitute cream of chicken or cream of celery soup when it calls for cream
Of mushroom. I have family members that don’t like mushrooms. With the beef stew recipe I use tomato soup, not tomato sauce. Originally I made it without any tomatoes. My daughter adds a can of green beans when she makes it.
Camille at Walmart they have a container of rotisserie chicken already cleaned up and ready to use in recipes I buy 3 - 1 pound containers in the deli section it's $6.97 each one
A tip for the broccoli beef, buy pre-sliced Carne asada. You have half the slicing already done.
And for any freezer dish,to get the air out? Fill the sink or a very large bowl with water, and immerse your filled bag up to its edge then zip. The water pressure forces the air out.
Thanks so much for the tip! Much appreciated!!
Thanks for sharing! Will there be a link for the Barbacoa tacos?
There will be!! Thanks for being patient!
Hello great video. Do yall have a recipe on homemade chilli beans on a video.
CANT WAIT to meet the beautiful baby.... 🥰🥰...my boss LOVES your channel as much as I do....
We are overjoyed! I am so glad, thanks for the support Cathy!
Good morning
Enjoy these last weeks of your pregnancy, Kristen. With all your girls you will have lots of help after everyone gets home from school, and lots of bonding time will they are at school. Will keep you and your family in prayer at this time.
Thank you so very much! That is so sweet. The whole family is excited to welcome this new little sister.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
I have a big family and we have an 8L instant pot, just wondering if these recipes are able to be doubled? If so how would the cooking times be affected? Thanks 😊
I'll make batches of cookie dough and put them in freezer bags or if it's going to be a rolled log of dough, you can stack those up like you would sodas or bottles of wine. It's a great thing to make in bulk if you have the room then you can do different kinds, we would make a crazy amount of stuff at Christmas time. We'd all cook in the kitchen or even some of my sister's friends would come over and I would use them for manual labor LOL. The batches AR like eight dozen they fit in my Pro Series mixer oh, I do baking as therapy when I'm able, the other reason for the big batches so I don't have to mess with getting everything out all the time I can just have my daughter get the stuff out and assist when I need it. Since my daughter and ex used to eat so much cookie dough I stopped using raw eggs in them and started using Bob's Red Mill egg replacer it's the only one I've used and actually like but I don't like it in cake but it's great in cookies but it doesn't work in certain things like lemon curd, I pretty much just use it for cookies. It's great to have on hand when eggs are either way too expensive or there's a shortage, you can just store it in the cupboard or whatever till you open it and then you just have it in the fridge or freezer if you don't use it that often, one bag is worth 64 unless package sizes change. When we were married the house we lived got super hot , so I would make big batches of pulled pork for my lazy carnitas. Also I would bake several cakes and just put them in the freezer so I get put together something easily last-minute that wasn't going to overheat the house of people coming over, it's easier to Cut & Fill and Ice Frozen as well. I would do this when I made pound cake or banana bread. Do a cookie so I can make ice cream sandwiches later, if your cookies are cold you have a little bit more time scooping ice cream. I used to cater so I used to make large batches of stuff, and depending on what it was say something that could be frozen you could make that ahead of time where some things need to be done right before in some things you need to make ahead of time and they need to sit and will get better and better. When I made dough for pizza or cinnamon rolls I would make multiple batches and put them in the freezer, or you can let it sit in the fridge for several days some last longer just depending what's in them, and if it's something that doesn't have say egg in it you can let it ferment longer and sometimes can make a do even better. Those frozen bread rolls that you use can be made really easily and put on a cookie sheet to freeze solid and then you can put them in a bag or container, sometimes I would wrap them up in a little bit of plastic wrap just to make sure they didn't get too much air if they were in a container. With the pockets you can also make ham and cheese with broccoli, sometimes a little bit chicken to or a little bit of cooked bacon, do you want a little bit you can add some green onion. Another good one is some sauteed onions and garlic with spinach ricotta and mozzarella, some pesto is welcome. Do meatballs with spinach, basil if you would like mozzarella, sauteed onions and bell peppers could be a alternative with provolone you can get crazy in experiment if that's how I've come up with so many things. I've done this stuff in breadstick form and dipped it in marinara or alfredo. Sun-dried tomatoes can be a really delicious Edition or olives. Then you can take it sweet by adding some pie filling or some chocolate chips and marshmallows or nuts. One time I really really wanted pumpkin pie and didn't want flaky crust so I made the filling for the pie and let it cool completely and then took the good Scoop of that and put that inside, it reminded me of these yeast empanadas I used to get in California
Woah woah!! I love this idea!
I'm concerned about the sodium level. Those can good have alot of salt...
Appreciate You! ✌🙋♀️
In regards to the barbacoa meat meal, is to take the corn tortillas and dunk them in the sauce (one at a time). Yes its messy, I'd use a fork to ear them, but it makes them so good. Do forget the condiments of;
Shredded lettuce (I use romaine), minced cilantro, onion, sliced radishes, sour cream and cheese. OMG, there are amazing and addictive.
I only cook for myself but I cook for 4 to 6 people so that I have a couple meals in the fridge and the rest Frozen. I also share with my caregiver if she or her son likes it. Her son is 4 years old. She just told me Friday she's pregnant so we can make meals for her freezer come next August.
Rinse your rice. Depending on where it was grown, there can be arsenic on it. Asian cooks rinse rice until water is clear.
What type of steak did you use for the beef broccoli teriyaki dish?
Can you use the instapots slow cooker setting to cook as a slow cooker?
The Italian Chicken at 39:00, you don't show the pasta going in. Does it go in the IP with the freezer bag stuff, or did you cook it separately?
We never use our crib. We have a pack n play w the bassinet upper insert part and they sleep in that til they're big enough that I'm afraid they will break the pack n play. Then they're in a crib mattress on the floor. This works for us. Only hard part is the bending but I guess we have to bend down anyway. It works for us we have 8 kids. We use a changing table to save the back but otherwise no real furniture for baby. Simple is way to go. Prayers for you fir all to go well
Could u do the roast sliders in crockpot?
Certainly!!
If you did just want to add two cans of root beer to the pork, you can just go to a convenience store/gas station and they should have 12 oz cans. I do that when I make Dr. Pepper BBQ. But the root beer sounds amazing..I've got to try it!
That's a great idea!
Please add the spices for the Barbacoa tacos...😊
I'm excited about my new instant pot, a total beginner... is there a reason why you don't put the pasta in first? It seems to me it would be easier to cover it with the liquid ...
I want to print all recipes for future use. I hope it will come in condensed form. They look really yummy. I am a 78 y/o widow so I don't want recipes that make a great deal. Will I be able to pick and choose which ones I want?
