Because they need as many boats as possible, the country is a delta of 3 main river systems and countless tributaries and canals...living in Bangladesh is like living in a island and travelling to other islands for Job, shopping and other life activities, the main transport system is based on river network...

We went on the rocket steamer in Bangladesh a couple of years ago. Such a great experience! It was really cool to see the parts of the boat that we didn't explore when we were there.

It is called "Steamer Rocket" because in 1928 (when it first started), it was the fastest mean to travel (that's why rocket) and it used coal to power its steam engines (that's why steamer). Later in the 1980s, all of them were converted to diesel engines.
