His weight and injuries have been a concern since hiskul...ever wonder why all the mixtapes we saw were mere repeats from the same games he actually played. His handlers got him hyped so much people forgot to check how many games he actually played. He has been on load management since hiskul
Trading Zion as of now is out of the question. Given what KD just went for, as the Pelicans you can’t let Zion go for anything less than that and most likely no other team will want to give up that price.
It's simple physics with Zion, a 284 lb man simply can't be taking off, doing highlight reel dunks on the regular without getting injured. The fact is, Zion is great but plays with reckless abandon. Even when he was injured he was posting videos of him doing highlight reel dunks. The guy needs to lose weight and he needs to just go for the 2 points and not the highlight. Sadly, there's no evidence suggesting either will happen.
I just find it really interesting that Zion is eligible for a super max contract extension on such little of a sample size longevity speaking. I get that New Orleans is a small market and that it's in an owner's best interest to keep as many people coming as possible, but still.
Flex on a guy after you dunk on him - cool Hit a 3, call his mama a B - nice Load manage whenever you want - who cares what they paid for tickets anyway? Do a sick 360 dunk for your home crowd at the end of a REGULAR SEASON game you are excited to win - pearls clutched, call the police, shame him in the media! Today’s NBA is so goofy
Keep Zion ONLY if you can keep the franchise healthy with a good base and drafts. What's the point of having a Lamborghini in your garage if you can NOT drive it often?
Love the video, and BTW, I think if it's just a matter of him losing weight that's causing the injury keep him make him learn to stay in shape but if it's a Grant Hill/Greg Oden situation they should cut their losses asap.
Losing weight might even make things worse. Zion is naturally predisposed to be a strongman/powerlifter, not a basketball player. He is simply not meant to be lean, his body could have all sorts of issues.
@@elislifestyle4605 what makes no sense is him being overweight for no reason, jeopardizing his career, while having the best trainers and nutritionists money can buy. You have the same situation with guys like Embiid and Luka. Luka looks slimmer at a point each year and he plays solid, then he gains a bit of weight and starts playing better. Again, not everyone is meant to be under 10% bf and for some it's very detrimental to their health, and especially athletic performance. If they're smart they will trade him away yea when he occasionally plays he's great but that doesn't help win a ring or even get deep in the playoffs especially since most of his game consist of his athletic ability once that's gone you're stuck with an injury prone player who can't do what he used to
I have maintained faith in my fave NBA player, Zion Williamson. However, I must admit that I'm concerned about his discipline regarding staying in shape when he's not playing......
I don’t understand why everyone is so surprised with how Zion’s career is turning out so far. All of these injury concerns were already a real factor before he was drafted, and now he’s just proving that his injury concerns were real. The Pelicans took a risk by drafting him and now they’re dealing with the consequences of that risk
Nah, he plays just enough to be relevant but Zion has never been happy ever since they traded away his buddies...at this point he is just finessing the Pelicans. He is looking to move to a big market team
Idk its hard to think that a player who plays while exhibiting physical feats that no one else has ever done at that kind of weight on his frame. Has been injured in each & every season he has been in the league. And now what you are going to bet on him & think he is all of a sudden going to keep his weight in check, fly around the court like he is superman & now all of a sudden he is never going to get injured ever again? Wow that's some fantasy shit right there. Objects in motion stay in motion. So when the object is 300lbs and jumping nearly 50" in the air after running down the court at full speed & then land expecting the frame that is holding that structure into place & is obsorbing way more energy than I could calculate is just going to hold up no problem. Sorry we got a problem... it should get obvious to everyone that if someone can't stay healthy from 19-21 then they never will.

He would actually play. He is just taking up space on the roster at this point. Look at how he reacted at the prospect of playing for the Knicks.
We know he is injury prone since high school but people forget the one big thing that's been around since he got drafted: He doesn't WANT to play in New Orleans. Pelicans fans (all 5 of them) and Zion fans just try to defend him and protect his image but y'all forget that this guy's own FAMILY got caught publicly saying that they want him out of New Orleans 2 seasons ago. The injuries may be real but this can be a blessing for him to be traded. He signed the extension to get more money so now he is planning is way to get traded. It's simple as that.
Zion is such a great player, I've been watching him since high school & it's so sad to see him get injured so much, I think he really needs to get a good trainer & trim down. I do wonder sometimes is he doing this so that he can eventually get to New York, because he's made it clear he loves New York, & even more so now that he sees how well they're playing plus his former teammate RJ Barrett is there
Honestly I say trade Zion reason why is because you gotta think of where the Pelicans are now which their in the playoffs so why sit around waiting for Zion who might be healthy might not? No trade him and let him be someone else's teams worry
If it is true then LaVar Ball was right again don't no one really don't want to play in NOLA fr fr BUT at the same he haven't played a whole season not even a half of season
Keep Zion. The Pelicans have a good team at the moment. Big man Jonas and Ingram with Murhpy and CJ do play well and will do well in this year's playoffs. Adding Zion when he is good in the next few years is going to be huge for the franchise

@@mattmmixes yeah I’ve seen studies on that as well. They call it AAU Knees. U made a great point with they need to play other sports. Playing other sports builds other muscles. Making ur body stronger to the west and tear
In the past, taking the risk is fine. But in this era of prima-donnas and catering to players, Zion clearly does not want to be there. Best to try and get something in return now.

Kind of hard to scare people if you keep getting injured.
Send Zion to NYK (like he always wanted to be) for the picks & Fournier…Pels can’t keep him healthy & it’s clear he doesn’t wanna play there

Ha! I assume this is his nana or his mom. What a bizarre comment.
It's too much to ask for, but I really do think he needs:
1. A vet who's willing to babysit him and checks up on him
2. Team must have great medical staff and a dedicated dietician for him
Give him a Jimmy Butler to look out for him, and a Tim Grover-like trainer, and I think he'll be fine.
He’s just too heavy for his frame and how he wants to move. It’s pretty simple. If he can’t lose the weight, trade him. If he can keep to a diet and stay lean, keep him.
Watching some of the clips in this video it really is crazy how high he can jump for being that heavy
Probably why he gets hurt. Remember clowney so fast and strong for his body I think it lead to injuries
That's part of the problem. 48 inches into the air is fun to watch... but remember, that's also a 48 inch drop.
It's not when he jumps up but when he comes down. All that force on his body is going to cause injuries.
He’s Charles Barkley 2.0 without the drive.
Zion x Lonzo was suppose to shift the culture 🤧. Both havin serious problems with injuries
Imagine the bs they would get if they were still together
Every example u gave was a reason why they should move zion 😂 then at the end u say they should keep him
I wouldn’t give one first round pick for for Zion. Rather have the 25th overall pick than have a super star play 12 games a year for my team

Move Zion STAT
It was a Saturday afternoon and Old country buffet was set to close in 15 minutes.

All the diners were terrified they wouldn't be getting their money's worth now 😩😭
I would’ve stayed open just for him honestly lol.

its tough being a pels (and original hornets) fan. watching them do so well/get so lucky in drafts (zion, AD, cp3, baron davis, kobe) but never being able to hold onto any of their stars is just torture if you're a fan.
His weight to height ratio along with his style of play are conducive to injury
Exactly. His agent needs to let him know he might not have a career if he doesn't lose weight. Jeeesh!
He's the biggest gamble of this generation.

Zion is shorter Anthony Davis , .. But how did he get max contract ?? ..
I’ve been concerned since college… he’s always had weight issues, and he started getting injured at duke. By this point his body is beaten up, when he’s on the court he’s sensational but his body can only take so much before it gives up.
His weight and injuries have been a concern since hiskul...ever wonder why all the mixtapes we saw were mere repeats from the same games he actually played. His handlers got him hyped so much people forgot to check how many games he actually played. He has been on load management since hiskul
If he can get his weight down he would be a beast but if he doesn't he won't be in the league long
Trading Zion as of now is out of the question. Given what KD just went for, as the Pelicans you can’t let Zion go for anything less than that and most likely no other team will want to give up that price.
We not getting rid of Zion
Any content creator advertising gambling hates their viewers.
This. Fuck modern UA-cam
The problem is that he’s pretty much a football player playing in the nba.
turns out, when you're almost 300lbs, with a 40+" vertical 100 times a night, your body might run into some issues
I just find it really interesting that Zion is eligible for a super max contract extension on such little of a sample size longevity speaking. I get that New Orleans is a small market and that it's in an owner's best interest to keep as many people coming as possible, but still.
He already signed the supermax lol
It starts next season. Has no clauses in it for games played like Embiids did.
Play are move on I would like to see him play ball not setting out 🙏🏾 he get his mind right

I agree, but it's hard to drive a Lambo when it keep having engine problems 😅
Love the video, and BTW, I think if it's just a matter of him losing weight that's causing the injury keep him make him learn to stay in shape but if it's a Grant Hill/Greg Oden situation they should cut their losses asap.
Losing weight might even make things worse. Zion is naturally predisposed to be a strongman/powerlifter, not a basketball player. He is simply not meant to be lean, his body could have all sorts of issues.
@@cimi93x huh that make no sense at all
@@cimi93x he’s 6’6 and 300 nobody should be that waeight at his size
@@elislifestyle4605 what makes no sense is him being overweight for no reason, jeopardizing his career, while having the best trainers and nutritionists money can buy. You have the same situation with guys like Embiid and Luka. Luka looks slimmer at a point each year and he plays solid, then he gains a bit of weight and starts playing better. Again, not everyone is meant to be under 10% bf and for some it's very detrimental to their health, and especially athletic performance. I doubt Zion is 300 when he plays, but 270-280 at about 15-18% bodyfat should be his goal.
@@cimi93x even being 270-280 is crazy at 6’6 he gonna have to be at least be 250-260 but keep some of that strength if he can. He either gonna have to be on a program to say small or he’s not gonna be in the league much longer.

Alvarado does remind me of Rip Hamilton, so good comparison!
Theres not a team stupid enough to give new Orleans what they want for zion trading him is not an option without taking a huge hit
Well Luka averaged 24.7, 8, 8 in his first two seasons.

whatever weight korzemba lost, zion gained.
Your favorite player doesn't even play.
It is unfortunate that Zion doesn’t have the mentors the Sir Charles Barkley had in Julius Iriving
You are garaunteed something if you trade him, you aren't garaunteed anything if you keep him.
Nothing is guaranteed. They can trade for 3 allstars and all 3 die in a plane accident. Keeping zion is the best choice
Exactly 💯
Let’s keep hoping he’ll be ok 10 years from now…
Doubt very much he'll be in the NBA ten years from now.

I would trade Zion to the Knicks. Get some players that actually want to be a Pelican on the team. Look at his face when he got drafted. It was like Eli when he was drafted to the Chargers. Watch Zion play 10x better the moment he gets traded and stays healthy.
Zion is tanking to get out of New Orleans
He not slick.
I do wonder sometimes is he doing this so that he can eventually get to New York, because he's made it clear he loves New York, & even more so now that he sees how well they're playing plus his former teammate RJ Barrett is there
Zion's athleticism is like Ben Simmons carrier, fading lol
