Thank you 🙂 I appreciate this as I do like the app but didn't know about the modes I haven't used yet. I actually laughed out loud when you said we should join your class!! That was good and much appreciated 😄
Thank you so much for this very helpful video! I´ve never used some of these modes because I just haven´t taken the time to learn about them. Now I´m going to try The Floor is Lava for sure! Thanks again and I just subscribed! ~Margot
Glad it was helpful! Depending on how bright your kids are , or how easy the content, TFIL is one that I use when I don't have time for a longer game. They go fast in my experience. Just a heads up!
You can pick the length of each game. Some games need more time while others are super fast. The floor is lava is a great add on for when you have just a bit of time left. Trust no one needs more time. You can also end a game early if you need to or lose track of time.
Not yet. I am editing one on Fishtopia but I can certainly do one for you. If you get a chance check out the interview I had with Josh Feinsilber the creator of Gimkit. It’s in the Podcast playlist.
Hey Kerry! I teach Middle School, they LOVE it... it's FUN at any grade!!! I can see playing even now as an adult (ish) if I had to study vocabulary. It's pretty adaptable in the way you set up your kits.
Great question... I've never had more than 30 but I am guessing it's pretty high. If you try it out with more than that, let me know what you think/find.
@@ClassKicker ok will do. Sometimes I teach an entire department. Also, do you have the free version or you have upgrade...which type of account do you have?
@@blossomfire5648 I have the paid version, $60 I think??? It's well worth it. I don't receive any kickbacks for promoting GK I just can't help it. My students love it and the data you get from the dashboard is great for helping kids with precisely what each of them needs.
Teachers like you really make an impact on students. Keep doing what you do, and your students will look back fondly on you as a teacher :)
Wow, thank you!

How long does 1 game typically take? I do Kahoots every Friday for about 10 minutes.

Do you have a video on "What is.." game mode?

Is the platform free to use or do I need to pay
Gimkit has a free tier but it’s worth paying for the upgraded version in my opinion
Draw That! 4 life
I love this mode for sure. So much fun.
What grade level is this best for? I teach 9th graders primarily.

I teach 11th and 12th graders and they love this more than kahoot because they can answer the questions at their own pace.
How many students can log on to Gimkit game in live in Google Meet?
