- This is a live take of the murder ballad I wrote that goes along with the Family Tree set. I wasn't doing real well when I wrote this, so It's a bit of a downer. Sorry about that.
Lyrics:
I got a little story that I'd like to tell
about a boy named bishop, who lived atop this hill
people called him a slow boy, said he weren't all there
but he never harmed none, no, he wouldn't dare
but when the neighbor's daughter said the child was his
well, the people turned then and wanted blood for his sins
bishop tried to tell them that none had shared his bed
but the words escaped him; he found tears instead
well his father begged then for him to bend his knee
that they might be lenient, in time would set him free
but the boy just stood there with a steady gaze
and said they'd have to break him, 'cause bending weren't his way
so they came and took him, and dragged him off in chains
and with the town as witness, he was forced to pay
it weren't 'til he was gone that the girl cleared his name
and now his ghost still haunts us to this very day

Oh you don't even know how long I was waiting for this :D. Very touching song, gets too me always when I hear your songs. Can not wait till the new album is released I am going to buy about 8 copies. One for me and 6 for my friends. Then the last one I am hoping to save and never open and try getting it signed when I see you perform live in the future. no, it's not on the tracklist for the album in his video for midnight or on the app store. however, their is a version on UA-cam that sounds like A studio version of it.
