Jay, it is very simple to follow along with your Sketchup videos. Thank you for posting such great content.

Thanks so much for showing me the follow command... I had a GRP flashing (complicated shape) and it had to follow a flat roof line with many angled sections.... Simply scratching my head as how to work all the mitres. One thing that should be explained is you need to explode any component in order for the shape to follow your line. Thanks so much for this...brilliant

No matter how many times I watch the follow me tool in action it still just looks like magic. Great stuff,

In one of the videos that you put out, you mentioned that you were wanting to create a video describing the process that you use to create a cut list. Is this still in the works? I am trying implement sketchup for trying to figure out how much material I need to buy. I am also a firm believer in having a cut list, as this keeps me on track and to kinow what I have cut and what is left to do.

chapincougars Yes it's still in the works. Lots to do and so little time. I've already covered it in a previous video but the quality is incredibly bad. It's in the second half of this video:

Jay Bates This is great for a small project, but what if you are completing a kitchen remodel project (around 10 cabinets)? I have drawn up all the individual cabinets and I am trying to figure out how I can come up with a cut list to keep me on track.
Thank you for creating videos. I look forward every week to see the two weekly videos you put out.

+Jay Bates in your brain pick with I Like to Make Stuff you mentioned that you used linux previously. On linux did you use Sketch up with Wine, or did you use a similar native program?

Is possible to get real profiles on line to use them?

Never work with unsaved files! Even that Sketchup automatically saves backups, this may not work at the most important moment. Very frustrating to lose work, which could take an hour or more.

Jay, you're great at sketch-up. It is more than obvious.
Could you slow down at least 10 m.p.h., and speak a little clearer?
I am really trying to learn this...

it would be great if you showed the basics in less minutes, rather then giving and explaining measurements.

Jay Bates 2 Strange. If you go to edit > delete guides it'll tell you what the shortcut is. For me it's end (you can also change them in the preferences :)
