Depends on the triple trees on the sportster I know they’re smaller than the Dyna I believe they’re 38 mm. It’s definitely worth looking into. My bike was an 06 FXDBI if that helps you narrow it down
Hey bro what did you do with the holes in the windshield? There 2 different one the one a on the bottom to hold it in place but what's the deal with the top ones?
They shouldn’t be too much different, it all depends on how the bars connect to the triple trees. If it’s the same design then you should have no problems using the methods I did. Cheers 🍻
i have installed it a few minutes ago and mounting the fairing was quite easy with this video. I bought it in germany for the FXBB and thats why there was a little extension plate for the light and it came also with a different plate that is connecting the fairing with the bridge of the suspension fork. that fitted all good. Only downside is the shield that gets mounted to the fairing. Couldnt find a good video for that.
Thanks man! The windshield is holding up strong, no cracks yet. I've put on probably over 2k miles since I've had it installed. Thanks for watching! ride safe
Kelvin Rivas it’s definitely possible, as long as the triple trees and headlight mount the same way then you shouldn’t have any problem 🍻 let me know how it works out for you 🤙🏽
So I want to install i similar fairing on my 2001 intruder 1500. I can’t find one to fit the stock 7inch headlight though, do you think I should keep looking for a tsport fairing with a 7inch cut out or buy a 5inch headlight to fit it? Thanks!
My apes were 16” and the fairing was close to the top of my bars. Not sure what the overall length was. I sold that bike a while back. Honestly the headlight issue comes down to if you want to get a smaller light or if you like the look of the larger one. My 5” day maker style led headlight was more than bright enough for night riding and overall visibility to other oncoming vehicles. I think it would be much easier to find a nice fairing if you downsized to the 5” but it’s all up to personal preference and the availability for the larger light. I hope that helps a bit, Good luck and keep the rubber side down 🤙🏽🤙🏽
You may need a different extension block, the wide glides have a slightly raked front end. You may be able to modify your existing block to get rid of that gap.
