A gentleman, a teacher, a virtuoso, a well educated man... In those days, Musician used to be the cream of the crop. Today, music has gone downhill and musicians don't have any skills. It's good to see such a great and humble man performing with ease and imagination.
One of the best piano players ever, we saw Him at a local Piano shop perform and give a master class, there was this one young player from Iowa City who was so good, I couldn’t play for a month after, but did eventually get back to practicing 🥴
Hyman incorporates several of jazz' absolute greatest piano players in his interpretations ( Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Teddy Wilson...). Great musician and teacher!
My God that was insane! What a great version. Rather virtuosic, left hand so solid and funky, and the right scintillating. Didn't believe the name until the guy at the end outro'd with it! .
Great technique and a fantastic arrangement! He makes it look so easy. He is Tatum re-incarnated A++++++++++++ Author of "Compendium of Over 2000 Jazz Pianists"

Utterly fabulous rendition! I hesitate to say this is one of the first pieces I learned, following in my mother’s footsteps, nowhere even near this top class performance, of course. The words and music were by John Schonberger, Richard Coburn and Vincent Rose.
@@davidpomfret2953 I just received your answer, for which I'm really thankful. It has always been important for me to know about those unfairly forgotten persons in music-rather in POPULAR music, I would say-known as "composers", many times nameless to some. Thanks for caring and I'm sure that you are also a great artist. Take lots of care and God bless you!
Zoraida García Hi Zoraida, so glad to be able to assist. It’s wonderful that the appreciation of beautiful music can make connections between us. Thank you for your reply.
@@davidpomfret2953 Thanks to you for replying. Yes, I like that kind of music that is so difficult to find. I lived in New Orleans for almost a year and a half, when my children were born and then we brought them to Puerto Rico, my dear country. There I could hear that music every day. Here I had CD's until stores stopped selling them. Now I hear most music from these channels on UA-cam. I wish you enjoy your favorite music, too.
