He didn't get the mask from his fight with mandalore the ultimate, he got his mask when he found it on a beach where the mandalorians slaughtered the Cathars, he picked up the mask and him and a few other jedi saw a vision of the mandalorians slaughtering the Cathar people. If you have read the Revan book by Drew Karpyshyn you would know he hid mandalore the ultimate's mask on a snowy world, making myself and many people believe that he had originally found Hoth.

Now that Revan and KotOR are officially canon, it's kind of nice that Ren and Revan are two different characters, because we now know that the Knights of Ren were created by Snoke, not Revan, and I personally consider that Revan's recanonization was hinted at from the beginning, during the canon reset of 2014.
One small error I noticed. The Jedi signed on as the defenders of the Republic about 25,000 years before the Great Jedi Purge. The reason the Jedi didn't fight in the Mandalorian Wars is that the Council felt there was a darker force behind the war and they didn't want to walk in blind

Great video! just wanted to say one thing. You forgot to mention that the Republic and the Jedi were sort of in the process of rebuilding before the Mandalorian Wars due to the Exar Kun war having happened only 30-40 years prior. The Republic was pretty paranoid and the Jedi were quite wary of Dark Side threats so that's part of the reason why they stayed out of the conflict, as they sensed something greater behind this war rather than just the mandalorian threat.
This theory does not reflect my opinions on the Star Wars Universe. Personally, I wouldn't want what I mentioned in this video to actually happen. The theory was just a thought I had, that felt compelling enough to be video-material. Good day.
Since we know theres more then 1 order of jedi in swtor im pretty sure there was more then one order of force users even in the future / Disney time lines.
I think that this thing with Rey and the Knights of Ren, although interesting, is extremely unlikely. Disney wants to think that they can produce better stories than anybody else can. That's why there is Star Wars "Legends". Now, as you can see, Disney can pick and choose from "Legends" what they think will bring them the most money. Grand Admiral Thrawn ring any bells? More money for the mouse. That's all its about.

I too hope we will see more of Revan and if that they do his character justice. But as Revan and not some altered version of him. From a producers point of view I hope this makes sense aswell, as it would give you access to the rich lore of KotoR and its multitude of conflictes fit for movies and series (not SW:ToR though that one was just dumb).
Rebels is canon. If Yoda is talking about Malachor V in Rebels, then some elements of KOTOR must also be canon. Also, Chuck Wendig's book mentions the planet Taris and the Pazaak card game. Those things don't exist anywhere else in the Star Wars Universe. I think we're seeing enough evidence to suppose that KOTOR is going to be retained as part of the canon.
+Christopher Kennedy Nothing of Kotor is as of yet canon (other than Rakata Prime appearing in an official map). For all we know they could have just reused the name Malachor (since they didn't even use the'V' in the name). But from all we've seen, I do believe that Kotor I and II will be made canon fully. My fear is that they will also make the MMO (SWTOR) canon as well. It's not a bad game by itself, but I just don't want its story to be canonized, it just doesn't fit and has such wasted potential. Hopefully someday, doubt it'll be anytime soon, we will get Kotor I and II remaster and a Kotor III. But hen again, EA has the rights to all Star Wars games.... I should stop depressing myself, lol. It also seems weird that in the show they made it so the battle that took place there was between the Jedi and the Sith, though it could have just been misinterpreted by the Jedi. Maybe what was really meant was just a struggle between light and dark and they assume that it was Sith.
I think will Disney eventually realize what a very bad financial move jettisoning all of the Expanded Universe material would be. KOTOR is far enough in the past that it wouldn't interfere with whatever direction Disney and the writers/directors/producers of the new films want to go with the story. The references that I mentioned are pretty suggestive. Pazaak and Taris don't exist outside of KOTOR. I think their very mention implies that at least some elements will be retained.
Christopher Kennedy Disney never 'jettisoned' the EU. They were always going to build a new timeline picking what they want to keep and what to change. I think that, if they recanonize Kotor, then it was probably always intended to come back. The people at Lucasfilm aren't stupid. They wouldn't throw everything away and do nothing with it, they likely always intended to bring back certain things, just, in a more organized fashion to be more understandable to wider audiences.
Has anyone caught the fact that Sabine from Star Wars Rebels is from Clan Wren? I truly believe this is a huge hint in the cannon and has a strong link to the Knights of Ren. I also believe Ezra will somehow become Starkiller... thus Starkiller base is another hint in The Force Awakens.

One small thing; Revan got his trademark mask from an un-named Mandalorian woman who was executed alongside thousands of civilians by Casus Fett after speaking out against the genocide Fett was commiting.
In the old republic comic they said that revan took the mask from a sight where the mandala rains massacred a village/ planet and he picked up the mask as a sign or something.
I also theorized this on Reddit. I didn't map it out that well but the initial thought and research I did pointed to this. With Revan being the OG of Grey force users, his attire resembling the Knights of Ren, Ren actually translated to Revan on some Chinese website I found, which also translated into Ruler, and Revan's description here (www.michaelawhitedesign.com/index.html) sounds like the Revan we know. But we all know Grey isn't balance, Luke must bring the Jedi back to stop anyone that uses the force for evil or corruption, Sith or otherwise. Good video. I have played SWTOR since launch and I like that Revan was split into two forms, his dark form trying to sacrifice everything to kill Vitiate and his light side trying to save the innocent. And our character defeats the dark version so that they can merge and finally be one and become one with the force. I don't know if you played through it or just read about it but it was pretty cool I thought. Great video too. I didn't mind the pauses :P
This is the best and most likely to be real theory about the knights of Ren. You forgot to mention that Kylo and Revan share a similarity on their outfit which could imply that Revan is linked and canonized

I think, the Knights of ren just might be based on the life of revan, they know who revan was, and strive to be like him, as kylo isn't a Sith, maybe he wants to be a mix of both Jedi and Sith. He was trained a Jedi that went dark, just like revan. I think that's more likely then kylo being revan, I think he's just using revan as a role model of sorts.
I disagree with some small things like your pronunciation of some words but thats it. Your theories make sense and I did like the Imperial version of Shadow of Revan but I was pissed at the ending where it looked like he died and we'd never see him again. On a side note a Kotor era star wars tv series with Revan would probably make good money. Good job with the video.

If there was evidence of KOTOR's influence in SW7:FW look at Rey's outfit references a cross between Revan & Bastila's jedi battle robes. While on the flip Ren's mask and outfit almost mirrors Revan's Sith lord armor he used before the events of KOTOR, essentially making Rey Ren's opposite and equal.
I'm pretty mad about this though. They took incredibly complex and beautiful characters like Revan and Bastila... and the best they could do is Rey and Kylo?
Great video, a few things missing or mis placed the how Revan got his mask and how the jedi were not apart of the republic and said reason for not joining the Manda-wars. Also, Malachor V is legends and not Canon only Malachor, two the mass generactors were not a weapon made by the sith but the republic, also three if Malachor V is Malachor then it would have been atomized as the second time the MSG was used again by the Exile the planet practially imploded on itself. In the EU The Malachor System has/had three known planets Malachor II, III and V so The Malachor that is use could be any of the two remaining, as Malachor V only had one moon where The new Malachor has at least two. So in my opinion Is Malachor V is the same Malachor from the new Canon it would be a bit of a piss take as that means a lot of the former canon no longer fully applies to this new one. just thought to clear that bit up xD. They visit the Sith Temple in rebels, obviously, and it looks like the Trayus Academy in the inside, but there appears to be no damage. The Academy appears to have been nearly destroyed at the end of KOTOR 2.

As for your theory about Maul starting the Knights of Ren, I personally find it quite unlikely, as Maul is probably going to die in Season 3. Theres no reason to reuse him AGAIN in the new trilogy (unrealistic and honestly, boring)
I always assumed Korriban was the Sith planet, with tombs of Sith Lords relevant to the times before the rule of two was introduced. Whereas Moriband was the planet of Sith Lords after the rule of two, with the oldest tomb being of Darth Bane.
+Joedareds They are the same planet, but Korriban is the KOTOR name (non-canon, apparently), and Moraband is the canon name. So, kill me, cause Korriban, and its backstory, are a lot more cool.
i also don't think Ren is using Force Stasis, but rather, Morichro, a technique that was banned by the council for reason that it can be highly dangerous to a individual if not enough care is taken. hence the reason Ren only uses it for VERY short amounts of time. it also is a bit of a testament to the extreme level of power Ren has at his disposal, being a part of the Skywalker family tree.
SithReign really? i never actually saw whatever source Morichro was presented in, simply noticed its definition in a star wars book-thingie and thought it seemed extremely similar to what Ren did, though i guess it could have been different as well. if you have the name of whatever source morichro is from id love to research it more myself.
After 4,000 years any genetic connection between Rey and Revan would be meaningless, Revan's and Bastila's bloodline having been diluted by 160 generations. Even the midiclorians passed from parent to child can't stretch that far. It's like someone living today being a descendant of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh from 2,000 BCE.
I despise Disney for what they did, but I still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and trust them..... for now, to know what they are doing.

So, if Rey were to be descended from Bastila and/or Revan, who exactly was keeping track of the bloodline for all those 4000 years, across about 200 generations and an exponentially huge number of descendants that would exist at the current time in the story? And be able to pick Rey out of them all? Say Bastila and Revan had 2 kids, and they each had 2 kids, and so on and so forth. Their uncountable mass of descendants would be spread out across a huge galaxy full of planets. It would be far fetched and arrogant storytelling.
I appreciate the thought behind this, but Rebels really took care of that. The Sith Temple on Malacor was a gigantic weapon, and could have been the shadow generator, but there was no evidence of Mandalorian battle. It was just jedi vs sith. The planet also looked stable, unlike the description you gave. Some parts could be passable, but most of it is off base to me.

It was because I wanted to give a relevant parallel from the EU for what MIGHT occur in canon. Personally, I respect Revan and Bastila's story alot. They might do that. They did make Darth Bane canon, so we'll see. Highly doubtful though. If anything, I'd expect Ezra Bridger to be the forerunner to the Knights of Ren, or who knows, maybe even Rey's grandfather.
Do a work anagram with names. Looking up the name meaning of Ren can be translated Raven. Anagram Raven and you can get Revan. Go a little further, if you take Kylo's name it can mean victorious. So if you put those together Kylo Ren can mean Victorious Revan. Just a thought.
When reading Annihilation i noticed with darth karrid's naming, i understand sith lords either making up their own name or are given one. But her name seam to be her previous name smashed together.(stay with me I'm almost to my point) Kana Tarrid= Karrid. I was just checking out kylo rens name. I believe you could be on to something with the revan=ren thing but i was looking more into the kylo part. I think the ky comes from sky in Skywalker and lo from solo. His dark side name seams to be his mothers and fathers surnames twisted into something else. Ended with ren looping back to what you said What does everybody think?? I mean if you thing about it it's like well yea... But lets pretend maybe not everyone has come to this conclusion yet.
I hope that they don't do this i have had a theory that Rey could be possibly be a descendant of Revan himself this would make sense considering how powerful the Shan family is in the force it would also make sense why they hadn't been searched out and either converted or destroyed by the Emperor as Theron Shan had none of his Ancestors gifts in the Force there was also a Prid Shan in the service of Chancellor Palpatine as well as a technician named Lido Shan who fought in the Clone Wars beside a young Obi-Wan Kenobi and a Deena Shan who worked with the Rebellion, though unlikely to be true it is interesting to think about.

Kylo Ren does not have the idealism nor the strength to become the third coming of the Sith'ari. If it took the Banite line 1000 years for it to get strong enough to challenge the Republic, it will take Kylo's line 100,000 years xD

Honestly, it wasn't his fault. His mind was wiped and his identity reformed. The only reason he had fallen to the dark side in the first place was because of Vitiate's manipulations, and with those gone, he went back to his base self. It was less a "crawl back into the light," more a sudden "fall off a cliff" into the light. Now this raises an interesting question: which side is Revan REALLY a traitor to? He betrayed the light only because of Vitiate, and he betrayed the dark only because of Malak/Jedi Council Mindwipe. Gotta respect him for what he's accomplished, despite all the tribulations he's been forced to endure.

OK, I will probably get blasted for this but I am shrewd when it comes to facts, and yes I know this is a theory. But at least get things straight. I like both Star Wars and Star Trek. But if you are going to make a video about a specific one use the right footage!!!! 4:39 in, that is a Galaxy Class as well as a Sovereign Class from ST:TNG era. Not to mention that you call Revan's friend Alek instead of Malak earlier in the video right at 3:00 in, not to mention that your video clip at 2:33 is of the Imperial sacking of Coruscant by Malgus not the Mando'a, oh and 11 seconds later is an exert photo from the Great Hyperspace War comic by Dark Horse or also know as the 1st Great Schism with Naga Sadow and Ludo Kresh attacking the Jedi, those are not Mando'a. The picture at 3:18 is between Exar Kun and Ulic Keldroma not Revan and the Mando'a (again Dark Horse Comic series, right before Ulik turns to the dark side about a few hundred years earlier; this story does closely resemble Revan and Malak though!). The picture at 3:29 is about 3500 years out of what, that is Finus Velorum, Yoda and Mater Windu not Chancellor Tol Cressa. If you hold KOTOR:1 so near and dear you should be able to follow what is laid out for you. I appreciate what you are doing man, but don't just read Wookieepedia if you are going to do stuff like this. Other than that keep up the passion! Oh and you also have to keep in mind that the DLC, but in The Old Republic Game Revan is shown as a Split soul character (i agree its lame, but it mentions Knights of Revan, or Revanites; which is speculated to be the future knights of Ren) You are on the right track man.

I don't think Ren Knights are the re-canonization of Revan Knights...if Devan does show up in Star Wars rebels. I think Revan and Ren are two separate entities. Ren Knights were probably took inspiration from revanchists to be their own thing. And that's it. As for Rey being Bastila shan's descendant, there is a theory that Rey could be. for one, looks. two, Rey could actually Force Bonded Kylo the similar way Bastila did to Revan. except when Kylo mind read Rey, Rey fought back with Kylo mind-powers wise. Also, in production notes, Rey was supposed to be called kira. Kira sounds like a strong name as Bastila ...so it could be likely that Rey is a descendant of Bastila Shan. Therefore, her real name could be Kira Shan.
+Counter Trollerist -- It is likely that Snoke had acquired the Holocron of Revan when Revan was a Sith. Then, Snoke passed that holocron on to Revan to learn of its knowledge / secrets including that Star-Matter absorbing tech of the Star Forge. It could also explain how Kylo Ren took inspiration for his costume and helmet and so on. Also, probably the cross-guard lightsaber.
+Counter Trollerist -- Also, in the Star Wars Episode "Twilight of the Apprentice," Ezra Bridger retrieved a Sith Holocron. This holocron is hinted to be that of Darth Treya, Revan's master. If this is true, then it's Darth Treya who will be the one that provided the knowledge of Revan's past, his accomplishments, his appearance, his knowledge of various weapon designs i.e. StarForge and the cross guard saber.
Your right with this. I believe Revan will become canon in the new series of Rebels. Also the makers of Rebels have revealed that a hardcore Star Wars fan favorite will appear in the new series. Puting it all together with the ancient holocron etc it strongly points to Revan. I can't wait.
lets not forgot that Revan and Bastila did have shildren and one off their decendants did become grand master off the jedi order aka Satele Shan iff i remember right and she could have her own children maybe in later down in the future line those children could marry and lets say have name change to Skywalker for little fun theory mine that makes somewhat sense iff you think about it :)

A really dumb theory that had better not find its way into new Canon. I'm already deeply disappointed in what JJ and Disney have done to Star Wars. This would just kill it completely.

If you hail the Sith'ari, you will know that even Bane himself said (not word for word) "Even though Revan turned back to the light, it would be foolish to disregard all he accomplished. He came within a hairsbreadth of conquering the Republic, and there are lessons to be learned from his efforts" In the end, Revan's holocron, and Revan's ideals/values as Sith were what led Bane to form the Rule of Two.
He didn't get the mask from his fight with mandalore the ultimate, he got his mask when he found it on a beach where the mandalorians slaughtered the Cathars, he picked up the mask and him and a few other jedi saw a vision of the mandalorians slaughtering the Cathar people. If you have read the Revan book by Drew Karpyshyn you would know he hid mandalore the ultimate's mask on a snowy world, making myself and many people believe that he had originally found Hoth.

Edit - he hid the mask on Rekkiad, a frozen planet, with glaciers, mountains, frozen wastelands - maybe like the Gobi Desert?? Anyway, not the frozen snowball of Hoth. Hoth and Rekkiad are on opposite ends of the SkyRiver Galaxy’s Outer Rim.
Now that Revan and KotOR are officially canon, it's kind of nice that Ren and Revan are two different characters, because we now know that the Knights of Ren were created by Snoke, not Revan, and I personally consider that Revan's recanonization was hinted at from the beginning, during the canon reset of 2014.
One small error I noticed. The Jedi signed on as the defenders of the Republic about 25,000 years before the Great Jedi Purge. The reason the Jedi didn't fight in the Mandalorian Wars is that the Council felt there was a darker force behind the war and they didn't want to walk in blind

One big mistake i noticed, Revan got his mask from a Mandalorian woman who died trying to save a group of innocent Cathari civilians from Cassus Fett's army. Fett ordered his soldiers to kill all of them, she protested, and died with them. Revan and some of his Jedi watched the entire scene and vowed vengeance, donning her mask as a symbol for that vengeance. Though Revan did take Mand'alor's mask and later gave it to Canderous Ordo, who became Mandalore the Preserver.

Great video! just wanted to say one thing. You forgot to mention that the Republic and the Jedi were sort of in the process of rebuilding before the Mandalorian Wars due to the Exar Kun war having happened only 30-40 years prior. The Republic was pretty paranoid and the Jedi were quite wary of Dark Side threats so that's part of the reason why they stayed out of the conflict, as they sensed something greater behind this war rather than just the mandalorian threat.

Since we know theres more then 1 order of jedi in swtor im pretty sure there was more then one order of force users even in the future / Disney time lines.
I think that this thing with Rey and the Knights of Ren, although interesting, is extremely unlikely. Disney wants to think that they can produce better stories than anybody else can. That's why there is Star Wars "Legends". Now, as you can see, Disney can pick and choose from "Legends" what they think will bring them the most money. Grand Admiral Thrawn ring any bells? More money for the mouse. That's all its about.
Revan didn't get his mask from Mandalore the Ultimate. He got it from the female Mandalorian who stood against Cassus Fett when he was about to slaughter Cathar civilians. After seeing this incident in a force vision he took the mask and the name 'Revan' as its own.
Except this little bit very interesting points and theory. I too hope we will see more of Revan and if that they do his character justice. But as Revan and not some altered version of him. From a producers point of view I hope this makes sense aswell, as it would give you access to the rich lore of KotoR and its multitude of conflictes fit for movies and series (not SW:ToR though that one was just dumb).

Rebels is canon. If Yoda is talking about Malachor V in Rebels, then some elements of KOTOR must also be canon. Also, Chuck Wendig's book mentions the planet Taris and the Pazaak card game. Those things don't exist anywhere else in the Star Wars Universe. I think we're seeing enough evidence to suppose that KOTOR is going to be retained as part of the canon.

+Christopher Kennedy Nothing of Kotor is as of yet canon (other than Rakata Prime appearing in an official map). For all we know they could have just reused the name Malachor (since they didn't even use the'V' in the name). But from all we've seen, I do believe that Kotor I and II will be made canon fully. My fear is that they will also make the MMO (SWTOR) canon as well. It's not a bad game by itself, but I just don't want its story to be canonized, it just doesn't fit and has such wasted potential. Hopefully someday, doubt it'll be anytime soon, we will get Kotor I and II remaster and a Kotor III. But hen again, EA has the rights to all Star Wars games.... I should stop depressing myself, lol.
It also seems weird that in the show they made it so the battle that took place there was between the Jedi and the Sith, though it could have just been misinterpreted by the Jedi. Maybe what was really meant was just a struggle between light and dark and they assume that it was Sith.
I think will Disney eventually realize what a very bad financial move jettisoning all of the Expanded Universe material would be. KOTOR is far enough in the past that it wouldn't interfere with whatever direction Disney and the writers/directors/producers of the new films want to go with the story. The references that I mentioned are pretty suggestive. Pazaak and Taris don't exist outside of KOTOR. I think their very mention implies that at least some elements will be retained.
Christopher Kennedy Disney never 'jettisoned' the EU. They were always going to build a new timeline picking what they want to keep and what to change. I think that, if they recanonize Kotor, then it was probably always intended to come back. The people at Lucasfilm aren't stupid. They wouldn't throw everything away and do nothing with it, they likely always intended to bring back certain things, just, in a more organized fashion to be more understandable to wider audiences.
Has anyone caught the fact that Sabine from Star Wars Rebels is from Clan Wren? I truly believe this is a huge hint in the cannon and has a strong link to the Knights of Ren. I also believe Ezra will somehow become Starkiller... thus Starkiller base is another hint in The Force Awakens.

Okay what if Schmi Skywalker is a descendant of Revan?
One small thing; Revan got his trademark mask from an un-named Mandalorian woman who was executed alongside thousands of civilians by Casus Fett after speaking out against the genocide Fett was commiting.
In the old republic comic they said that revan took the mask from a sight where the mandala rains massacred a village/ planet and he picked up the mask as a sign or something.
I also theorized this on Reddit. I didn't map it out that well but the initial thought and research I did pointed to this. With Revan being the OG of Grey force users, his attire resembling the Knights of Ren, Ren actually translated to Revan on some Chinese website I found, which also translated into Ruler, and Revan's description here (www.michaelawhitedesign.com/index.html) sounds like the Revan we know. But we all know Grey isn't balance, Luke must bring the Jedi back to stop anyone that uses the force for evil or corruption, Sith or otherwise. Good video. I have played SWTOR since launch and I like that Revan was split into two forms, his dark form trying to sacrifice everything to kill Vitiate and his light side trying to save the innocent. And our character defeats the dark version so that they can merge and finally be one and become one with the force. I don't know if you played through it or just read about it but it was pretty cool I thought. Great video too. I didn't mind the pauses :P
This is the best and most likely to be real theory about the knights of Ren. You forgot to mention that Kylo and Revan share a similarity on their outfit which could imply that Revan is linked and canonized

I think, the Knights of ren just might be based on the life of revan, they know who revan was, and strive to be like him, as kylo isn't a Sith, maybe he wants to be a mix of both Jedi and Sith. He was trained a Jedi that went dark, just like revan. I think that's more likely then kylo being revan, I think he's just using revan as a role model of sorts.
I disagree with some small things like your pronunciation of some words but thats it. Your theories make sense and I did like the Imperial version of Shadow of Revan but I was pissed at the ending where it looked like he died and we'd never see him again. On a side note a Kotor era star wars tv series with Revan would probably make good money. Good job with the video.

If there was evidence of KOTOR's influence in SW7:FW look at Rey's outfit references a cross between Revan & Bastila's jedi battle robes. While on the flip Ren's mask and outfit almost mirrors Revan's Sith lord armor he used before the events of KOTOR, essentially making Rey Ren's opposite and equal.
I'm pretty mad about this though. They took incredibly complex and beautiful characters like Revan and Bastila... and the best they could do is Rey and Kylo?
Great video, a few things missing or mis placed the how Revan got his mask and how the jedi were not apart of the republic and said reason for not joining the Manda-wars. Also, Malachor V is legends and not Canon only Malachor, two the mass generactors were not a weapon made by the sith but the republic, also three if Malachor V is Malachor then it would have been atomized as the second time the MSG was used again by the Exile the planet practially imploded on itself.
In the EU The Malachor System has/had three known planets Malachor II, III and V so The Malachor that is use could be any of the two remaining, as Malachor V only had one moon where The new Malachor has at least two.
So in my opinion Is Malachor V is the same Malachor from the new Canon it would be a bit of a piss take as that means a lot of the former canon no longer fully applies to this new one. just thought to clear that bit up xD.

I mean, it is likely that the holocron is Kreia's judging from the latest trailer. I just hope the Mass Shadow Generator is still a thing, and that Malachor is in ruins when they go there. I am eager to see what it looks like from orbit.

As for your theory about Maul starting the Knights of Ren, I personally find it quite unlikely, as Maul is probably going to die in Season 3. Theres no reason to reuse him AGAIN in the new trilogy (unrealistic and honestly, boring)

I always assumed Korriban was the Sith planet, with tombs of Sith Lords relevant to the times before the rule of two was introduced. Whereas Moriband was the planet of Sith Lords after the rule of two, with the oldest tomb being of Darth Bane.
+Joedareds They are the same planet, but Korriban is the KOTOR name (non-canon, apparently), and Moraband is the canon name. So, kill me, cause Korriban, and its backstory, are a lot more cool.
i also don't think Ren is using Force Stasis, but rather, Morichro, a technique that was banned by the council for reason that it can be highly dangerous to a individual if not enough care is taken. hence the reason Ren only uses it for VERY short amounts of time. it also is a bit of a testament to the extreme level of power Ren has at his disposal, being a part of the Skywalker family tree.

After 4,000 years any genetic connection between Rey and Revan would be meaningless, Revan's and Bastila's bloodline having been diluted by 160 generations. Even the midiclorians passed from parent to child can't stretch that far. It's like someone living today being a descendant of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh from 2,000 BCE.

So, if Rey were to be descended from Bastila and/or Revan, who exactly was keeping track of the bloodline for all those 4000 years, across about 200 generations and an exponentially huge number of descendants that would exist at the current time in the story? And be able to pick Rey out of them all? Say Bastila and Revan had 2 kids, and they each had 2 kids, and so on and so forth. Their uncountable mass of descendants would be spread out across a huge galaxy full of planets. It would be far fetched and arrogant storytelling.

I appreciate the thought behind this, but Rebels really took care of that. The Sith Temple on Malacor was a gigantic weapon, and could have been the shadow generator, but there was no evidence of Mandalorian battle. It was just jedi vs sith. The planet also looked stable, unlike the description you gave. Some parts could be passable, but most of it is off base to me.

Personally, I respect Revan and Bastila's story alot. In this theory, I'm basically just expecting that Disney, however perplexing they may be, also have enough respect to add a Revan-like character into canon
They might do that. They did make Darth Bane canon, so we'll see. Highly doubtful though. If anything, I'd expect Ezra Bridger to be the forerunner to the Knights of Ren, or who knows, maybe even Rey's grandfather.

Do a work anagram with names. Looking up the name meaning of Ren can be translated Raven. Anagram Raven and you can get Revan. Go a little further, if you take Kylo's name it can mean victorious. So if you put those together Kylo Ren can mean Victorious Revan. Just a thought.

But her name seam to be her previous name smashed together.(stay with me I'm almost to my point) Kana Tarrid= Karrid. I was just checking out kylo rens name. I believe you could be on to something with the revan=ren thing but i was looking more into the kylo part. I think the ky comes from sky in Skywalker and lo from solo. His dark side name seams to be his mothers and fathers surnames twisted into something else. Ended with ren looping back to what you said

I hope that they don't do this i have had a theory that Rey could be possibly be a descendant of Revan himself this would make sense considering how powerful the Shan family is in the force it would also make sense why they hadn't been searched out and either converted or destroyed by the Emperor as Theron Shan had none of his Ancestors gifts in the Force there was also a Prid Shan in the service of Chancellor Palpatine as well as a technician named Lido Shan who fought in the Clone Wars beside a young Obi-Wan Kenobi and a Deena Shan who worked with the Rebellion, though unlikely to be true it is interesting to think about.

Honestly, it wasn't his fault. His mind was wiped and his identity reformed. The only reason he had fallen to the dark side in the first place was because of Vitiate's manipulations, and with those gone, he went back to his base self. It was less a "crawl back into the light," more a sudden "fall off a cliff" into the light. Now this raises an interesting question: which side is Revan REALLY a traitor to? He betrayed the light only because of Vitiate, and he betrayed the dark only because of Malak/Jedi Council Mindwipe. But if you are going to make a video about a specific one use the right footage!!!! 4:39 in, that is a Galaxy Class as well as a Sovereign Class from ST:TNG era. Not to mention that you call Revan's friend Alek instead of Malak earlier in the video right at 3:00 in, not to mention that your video clip at 2:33 is of the Imperial sacking of Coruscant by Malgus not the Mando'a, oh and 11 seconds later is an exert photo from the Great Hyperspace War comic by Dark Horse or also know as the 1st Great Schism with Naga Sadow and Ludo Kresh attacking the Jedi, those are not Mando'a. The picture at 3:18 is between Exar Kun and Ulic Keldroma not Revan and the Mando'a (again Dark Horse Comic series, right before Ulik turns to the dark side about a few hundred years earlier; this story does closely resemble Revan and Malak though!). The picture at 3:29 is about 3500 years out of what, that is Finus Velorum, Yoda and Mater Windu not Chancellor Tol Cressa. If you hold KOTOR:1 so near and dear you should be able to follow what is laid out for you. I appreciate what you are doing man, but don't just read Wookieepedia if you are going to do stuff like this. Other than that keep up the passion! Oh and you also have to keep in mind that the DLC, but in The Old Republic Game Revan is shown as a Split soul character (i agree its lame, but it mentions Knights of Revan, or Revanites; which is speculated to be the future knights of Ren) You are on the right track man.

I don't think Ren Knights are the re-canonization of Revan Knights...if Devan does show up in Star Wars rebels. I think Revan and Ren are two separate entities. Ren Knights were probably took inspiration from revanchists to be their own thing. And that's it.
As for Rey being Bastila shan's descendant, there is a theory that Rey could be. for one, looks. two, Rey could actually Force Bonded Kylo the similar way Bastila did to Revan. except when Kylo mind read Rey, Rey fought back with Kylo mind-powers wise. Also, in production notes, Rey was supposed to be called kira. Kira sounds like a strong name as Bastila ...so it could be likely that Rey is a descendant of Bastila Shan. Therefore, her real name could be Kira Shan.
+Counter Trollerist -- It is likely that Snoke had acquired the Holocron of Revan when Revan was a Sith. Then, Snoke passed that holocron on to Revan to learn of its knowledge / secrets including that Star-Matter absorbing tech of the Star Forge. It could also explain how Kylo Ren took inspiration for his costume and helmet and so on. Also, probably the cross-guard lightsaber.
+Counter Trollerist -- Also, in the Star Wars Episode "Twilight of the Apprentice," Ezra Bridger retrieved a Sith Holocron. This holocron is hinted to be that of Darth Treya, Revan's master. If this is true, then it's Darth Treya who will be the one that provided the knowledge of Revan's past, his accomplishments, his appearance, his knowledge of various weapon designs i.e. StarForge and the cross guard saber.
Your right with this. I believe Revan will become canon in the new series of Rebels. Also the makers of Rebels have revealed that a hardcore Star Wars fan favorite will appear in the new series. Puting it all together with the ancient holocron etc it strongly points to Revan. I can't wait.
lets not forgot that Revan and Bastila did have shildren and one off their decendants did become grand master off the jedi order aka Satele Shan iff i remember right and she could have her own children maybe in later down in the future line those children could marry and lets say have name change to Skywalker for little fun theory mine that makes somewhat sense iff you think about it :)
