For your information, the "dragon" you mentioned as you visited the white-blue temple, is not the dragon. That is Naga, the Great Naga. This link may give some basic idea about the Great Naga in Buddhism and the relation of the Lord Buddha and the Great Naga : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mucalinda
This warship is USS Gallup (PF-47), built in 1943, bought by Thailand from the United States. This ship had survived World War II and the Korean War. It was used by the United States for 7 years and Thailand bought it and used it for another 49 years. It was decommissioned in 2000. Have a fun trip in Thailand.
I don't think I would have walked on that wooden walkway. Lots of interesting things to see on this trip. I liked the animals. Take care and enjoy your visit.
Wowww...Serg is almost lost in the mangrove swans....scary as it may looks...you're brave man 👨 searching for that battleship, which l thought was by the river, no, it's land- bound...the walking path was rather dangerous to most people, with broken pieces and a slanting walkway...bravo you have made it...the journey back to where you start is worth the Bht 60...or 40 min walking back...the animal farm 🚜 looks interesting and it's quite unique in its own way....the hotel room looks good, by the sea front and you deserve a good rest...😅 thanks Serg for bringing us along this unusual journey ...stay safe....
20:00 There are no dragon in a Thai temple, but Naga, they throw water instead of flame. Like the one from the Disney animation Raya and the Last Dragon. 😄
Heath and safety in the land of smiles 🫣🫣 that walk way was crazy . Still worth the risk !!!!! Dude the view and the beach right outside 👏👏👏 enjoy my Mann
Koh Chang is one of my favorite islands in Thailand. I highly recommend Mordi and Fuggis restaurant in Kai Bae some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. Also El Barrio for interior Mexican food.
That looked like miles and miles of boardwalk through the mangroves. That had to be a lot of work to build on that terrain. Certainly needs maintaining for sure. Your quite the adventurer..enjoy watching very much.😅
I used to lived in Rayong and that area for 7 years, I miss that place so much, what a great trip on my memory lane, Thanks and have a fun/safe trip mate!
Man you’re sure living the dream out there. That’s just what I’d like to do if I plan to retire out there. Great stuff, really enjoying these bike tours.
Trust me, it’s not all rainbows and unicorn farts. The day I shot this video completely did me in for the next day. You’ll see what I mean in my next video. I’m having a lot of fun, but I’m gonna scale it back a little bit once I get to Koh Chang tomorrow. More to come!
Love watching your vids, and really excited that you are visiting my home province, Trat. Many people skipped the actual province and go straight to Koh Chang but there are many interesting things you can do on the main land. If you are going to the Cambodian border, I would recommend stopping by at Mai Rut, and Klong Yai. I hope you enjoy your time there. cheers
Love these videos. I just missed you in koh Chang by a week. My first time back in Thailand in 5 years and loving it! Koh mak is cool, on koh kood now, best beaches I've found so far in my life, check em out!
I was laughing when you found out that there's already another convenient path to the warship apart from the adventurous one thru the mangrove. But I guess you already knew it or got some hunch on it but as usual, you wouldn't lose a chance of an adventure on your trip. Any way, Thai authorities please fix the bridge and do it regularly. A place like that just deserves some periodical maintenance for everyone to have a safe study tour throughout year.
I actually had no idea there was another way to it. I came there just for the mangrove, I didn’t know there was a ship until I started walking but it’s OK, I enjoyed the little adventure. 😊
Theres a really cool temple in Sha Rin HK if you ever go there - Temple of a 1000 Buddas or 1000 steps. And after all the effort theres a great restaurant at the top
Thai Dragons bring water, protect Temples and are associated with wisdom and longevity. Im completely templed out in Thailand but it was a good question. I googled it and that was the answer, which makes sense....like Game of thrones 😁
Another exciting trip...lost but not really Lost with Serg. Btw, there are many stories behind Naga or big snake you see in most or all Thai temples. I saw few comments about Naga. There is another story that Naga changed himself to be human and became a monk. He was caught and seen as a big snake by another monk. Because he was not human, he had to leave but his name remains until these days. This may sound contradictory and unbelievable, I am now Christian but I remember seeing Naga in a form of light in Thai temple when I was in middle school. I still remember it very well to this day 🤔
traps of Thailand. these holes can sure mess up your day but I once saw one that was a rusted sewer lid. if you had step on it your leg would get penetrated by rusty spikes pretty much and what ever that sewer water is hosting.
How do you get over loneliness when traveling alone? I plan on taking my first solo trip to Thailand at 27 years old, I've always been around family or friends so this will be interesting. I am one that can find his place where I am and experience the lifestyle and culture more than most tourist but of course we always need human interaction.
Up until a few years ago, I had always traveled with girlfriends or family. I got to the point where a lot of my friends either didn’t have the time, or couldn’t afford to go on trips. So I decided that I would rather travel on my own, then not travel at all. Get lonely at times? Sure. However, the overall experience is wonderful. Don’t overthink it. When you travel solo, it’s quite easy to integrate into other groups when you go out. Have a wonderful time!
@@LifewithSergbest answer ever. I am the same...95% love to talk, then when it is time to commit, they backout. I meet more locals traveling solo and they are intrigued with your courage and sense of adventure.. and everything is on your own schedule!
About the dragon, it’s a story in the Buddha’s Teaching or “Tripitaka”. When the Buddha still alive, there was a dragon who really admired Buddha and wanted to be a monk. But the Buddha permitted only human being. So the other being, spirit, angel, or whatever cannot be a monk. But the dragon disguised himself as a man and was ordained as a monk. One day, he shape-shifted to the dragon form while sleeping and other monk saw his real form. So the dragon could not be a monk anymore. He was so sad and plead to serve the Buddha in any form. To honor that dragon, a man who prepare to be ordained will be called ‘Nak’ (meaning dragon) and the ordination ceremony called “บวช - นาค” (buad - nak) which means to ordain as a dragon. Plus the Thai Buddhist temple also decorated with the dragon to honor the dragon’s desire to serve the Buddha.
Your slanted plank walk concerned me regarding your safety and it prompted a thought about your ability to call for help should you need a rescue. On my iPhone in the US, I have “Emergency SOS.” When activated my emergency contact list is notified and emergency personnel are called even when there is no cellular service available. It uses satellite. Is there anything like that Thailand? Additionally, since you have proclaimed multiple times that you get lost. Would an “Air Tag” placed in your motorcycle allow you to get back to your transportation? Sorry for acting like a concerned parent…😂😂😂
When I say, I get lost, I just mean temporarily. I’ve never gotten lost to the point where I couldn’t find my bike or where I was. Not to worry. That emergency SOS is available to me. I hope it work here in Thailand. I’m not being blasé, but I don’t worry too much about this stuff. I have a good Medical Insurance, I have medevac insurance, we got most of my bases covered.
The dragons or nagas found in every Buddhist temple are served to protect the Buddhist temple. The Nagas are believed to be creatures in the mysterious world that have great powers. Therefore, nagas are often included as the components in Thai temple architectures.
maze is good, full of OBSTACLEs, nice experience isn't it. do stupid for some time is Great for excercise :) hiring a ride is a Clever Solution coming up sudently to fix the solution :) See, it made you Fun than the Ship :) have a nice trip
It is Naga.. they are in serpent shape not like in western dragon but more likely similar to Chinese one There is the interesting myth about Garuda and Naga.. you can try to search it up.. they are eternal enemy

Ahhh thanks for the history on it!
Of course you are lost and confused. That's what makes your videos entertaining. It looks like this trip is going to be a good one.
More coming up!
Serg, you are doing right thing i believe exploring Thailand.
Instead of sitting n drinking like so many get used to in Thailand. Which scares me.
Yeah I see it everywhere. Sad to be honest.
Wow, it's so beautiful down there. Great video, you find so many cool places to explore!
The boardwalk was really cool. It absolutely wiped me out, but it was worth it.
I don't think I would have walked on that wooden walkway. Lots of interesting things to see on this trip. I liked the animals. Take care and enjoy your visit.
Yeah, that boardwalk was definitely sketchy! And at 100 kg, I’m not the lightest person to walk on an old boardwalk like that. Lol.
I push myself a little too far that day. There was a lot of good stuff to see, but the next day was tough. You’ll see what I mean in my next video.
20:00 There are no dragon in a Thai temple, but Naga, they throw water instead of flame. Like the one from the Disney animation Raya and the Last Dragon. 😄
Ahh ok. Thanks!
And Naga is actually a snake, he provided Buddha protection when Buddha is attaining enlightenment, hence the form of “Saturday Buddha”

Yeah, it was great!

Yeah, that Mexican place is on my list for sure. Thanks for the tips on the Italian restaurants.

Yah I walked 2.5 km through it. Loved it!
I used to lived in Rayong and that area for 7 years, I miss that place so much, what a great trip on my memory lane, Thanks and have a fun/safe trip mate!
Hey, that’s awesome, happy to bring you back some memories.
Great video. I feel exhausted watching this part of your trip. No way would I have tried crossing the mangrove paths.
I was really exhausted, I did too much that day. I definitely paid for it the next day. You’ll see what I mean when I release my next video.
ขอให้คุณเดินทางปลอกภัย❤
Thank you!
I stay Sattahip neary Rayong but i never go to Tungprongtong. Thank for Rayong Thip.
You’re welcome!
Nice video Serg! I like the mix of nature and temple in this one :)
Yah it was a fun day, but I did myself in. You’ll see what I mean. 😒

I went to the border today, but I skipped those two places. Maybe next time.
I enjoyed it. This is another province that is really nice to live in.
It’s quite beautiful down here. Beautiful ocean, lower cost-of-living, very nice.

สะพานไม้ในป่าชายเลนสร้างมาหลายปีมันตากแดดจากฝนไม่มีตนดูแล..โปรดใช้ความระมัดระวังครับเดินช้าๆ
Yes, unfortunately, like most things in Thailand, it has not been taken care of after it was built.

No there will not. Enjoy your trip!
Did you buy your Omega Seamaster in Thailand? I buy all my watches from the same lady at MBK, she always gives me a great deal.
It’s MoonSwatch. It’s collaboration with omega and swatch.
Thing I learned today : Every animals eat carrots.
Right?! I was shocked. I kept thinking that “no, this one won’t eat carrots“ and yet, they did. Lol
😂😂

I did not know this. Thank you so much for sharing. I found it quite interesting.
How much did you pay for your ADV
I paid ฿102,000 about seven months ago. That worked out to be $2950 at the time with the exchange rate.

Most definitely!
