@@nerfherderMS Between this video and when I saw Regis post a funny Speed deck I wanted to actually try, that tipped the balance and I picked up Speed and won't be trying for EH.
On kmbest channel, a dev said this used to be a 5 cost (unknown probably 7 power). That tells me they want to see how playable this bad 6 cost hulkling can be without making it better as a 5 cost
Idk if hulking will be good or not but how is a 6/11 galactus or 6/11 knull bad? what a joke, destroy is super popular and theres a reason galactus is a 6-5 card. Even a 6/11 hela can atleast help when run into sokovia or weapon x. and you dont see the value 6/11 zemo?
galactus needs ramp and a whole deck of supporting cards to work. a random 11 power galactus is useless. you wont win lanes on turn 6 with 11 power and nothing to back it up. there are 158 locations in the game...2 of them doesnt make this card good when you have a 1 out of 30ish chance to get hela. you are thinking of cases that happen once every hundred games, probably less, and thinking that will make the card good.
I think the best thing this card has going for it is the information asymmetry. His win rate probably won't be anything to write home about, but he can steal some 8 cube games out of nowhere, and I think you might be underestimating that as a factor here.
I don't really see a ton of asymmetry. It's not like you'll be dropping him at a time and place you wouldn't be playing a more standard 6 drop. Until you draw it, you're in the dark as much as your opponent. Sure mayyyybe you get the high roll and he's a Doom or a Red Hulk that doesn't flash each time he goes off, but is that really worth putting him in the deck? Sure bet you''d end up stealing more cubes and reliably surprising opponents in games if you just design for a cube rate card and put that in.
I don't understand how he could possibly be very good. He's a six cost that turns into a random six cost, he doesn't get you anything ahead of the curve or below cost and almost never gets you any power or effect above rate. He's an RNG card that almost never pays off.
Zola meh? I would say Zola is really good hit, you can put power in all 3 lanes with him as Zola even if you copy something pretty small it is almost like a different Doom
Easy skip. I agree: the % for a crappy or nothing outcome is too high, to spend tokens or spotlights. Just put the card in, that you know will give you the win condition, as opposed to a roulette wheel
Mostly ya. It's not like the deck your using is gonna be built with that edge case scenario in mind and 11 power as a lone card in lane on t6 isn't winning many games.
@@nerfherderMS That’s what makes hulkling galactus good though it’s completely unexpected. When the meta isn’t 95% of people filling all three locations with 20+ power of 1-costs galactus steals games as a lone 5-power card 11-power galactus definitely isn’t as bad as -5 power destroyer, -9 power infinaut, etc.
@@nerfherderMS Didn’t say it’s a good pull but it’s definitely not useless. Like I said at least it has some surprise factor with no downside 11 power is 11 power pulling destroyer, infinaut, even giganto is way worse
Great content! I was really close to pulling the trigger on this card but your comments and others have swayed me the other way. Thx!
Glad I could help. Almost every card next season is gonna be much more worth

Thanks for the video, i love it! 😊 And i agree 100% with you about the card. Have a nice day! 😊
Yeah, already have nimrod and cannonball, but even without them, easiest skip in quite a while.

Ya it's definitely better as a lower but power cheaper card

I'm sorry using Canonball. Pairing him with Greengoblin + Titania combo.
thanks for the honest review!
I was thinking the same thing! Not really been excited about the cards this season
6/11 Agatha
@sammchunu7893 never happens
great video and full agree!
Hulkling is cheeks! The first week of sept will be 🔥🔥🔥

Ya, this season other than Kate has been pretty bad.
because he has 11 power, imagine 11 power leader or doom - it is pretty good, but there are many bad hits so everyone says he is mediocore

Day one patch: Only copies text from good six costs.

@@gilligan9849 wild take.
@@gilligan9849 i disagree but lets say you are right that galactus is good pull for hulkling...it's still a bad card 40% of the time

I think nobody built a good deck for him
Ya, If there is a good deck with him, it's not because hulkling lol.
