@@demonlordomegaacepilot7090 It's not just that the V2 had a 400 kiloton warhead, it's that the V2 had 8 of the things. MAD was definitely a thing in the Ace Combat universe, with the Oseans and the Yuktobanians having a cold war through the 60s-80s. Afterwards, most nations dismantled their nuclear stockpiles due to the development of rather sophisticated anti-missile systems and alternative weapons (Excalibur was meant to shoot down incoming nuclear warheads, and the SOLG was meant for destroying hardened missile silos with it's magnetic cannon).
Basically, most nations in Ace Combat had already abandoned the idea of nuclear warfare, but here comes this terrorist organization with the ability to nuke 8 different places with just 1 missile. It's not sheer destruction that the V2 would be used for, but more or less the chaos and economic impact that would ensue if the world's 8 largest cities got nuked all at once.

The biggest moment of the game to me. The battle with Pixy ain't got shit on this part, especially if you go after all the special planes upon exiting the first run and making the return pass. Its pretty tough but Ive dont it numerous times. Truly awesome.

It takes a lot to make people want to end the world to start anew. Theres so much emotion mixed up into avalon that its truly outstanding. A massive fortress disguised as a dam thats been there god knows how long, the run up with your allies all falling away just so you can get through, the potential for it to all end one way or the other... its just so gratifying.
By this point you should just be an endless ball of emotions and self doubt after all the events that have transpired, and now you can just let it all out. Its the end. Its over. The real baddies are right there and you are more than ready to make the nightmare end.

PJ's plane took a laser through the engine, perhaps a bit closer to the cockpit. Pixy took a missile to the air intake, and was still in control of the fighter long enough to avoid a midair collision with Cipher. Very, very large difference between the two.

The laser was meant to disintegrate the plane but it seems that some of the plane survives and gives ample time for PJ to bail out. Or he could have just lost his ability to bail when the plane was damaged.

If you look closely at a video, you'll see that the point of impact for the laser was The underside of the cockpit, where it sliced right through the plane... And pilot. Hence why the radio goes dead. Pj was dead before his plane ever hit the ground. It's preset dark when you think about it.
