Easy to Build and Inexpensive Portable Bee Vac

This is a quick and easy build of a portable bee vac. The bee catch boxes are easily replaced so that, on a cut-out, you can quickly put new catch boxes on and continue your work. The catch boxes are secure and ventilated so that you can safely transport them to your bee yard.
Another great use of this small, light system is in catching and removing bees that get into your shop or honey house. Bees are always getting in these buildings and with this system, you can easily keep them caught and out.

love your idea, I have one suggestion. since bee's foot will catch on the AC filter, may put the ac filter into a small box. Add a lot of small holes on the small box and attached the small box to the suction hole.

Probably fixing to build one real soon. looking into the dewalt vac since everything I have is dewalt tools and batteries are interchangeable. Thanks for more ideas.

Love this. I need to get bees out of a swarm trap that has no frames so I have to do a cutout. I bought a ryobi 3 gal wet/ dry vacuum battery powered. Also, how do you attach drill bit cases to your pegboard?

I'm very serious about getting a portable bee vacuum. Is the vacuum in the video battery charged and where can purchase one? Can it be connected to the bucket?

It wouldn't have the suction needed if you connected it to a bucket.

I got the idea of using this blue A/C filter material from Dirt Rooster. He uses it any time he wants to close off an area from the bees, like closing the hive entrance. I, also, have used it for this vac and closing entrances many, many times with no bees getting caught. It's proved itself to be a wonderful tool in beekeeping.
