Maybe not. To write something so full of life, it would help to learn about people's hearts and minds. Engaging with the masses is a good way to learn about the human condition, instead of just observing like a student in the back of a classroom. Of course, to assess the quiet of nature and serve it as your muse is just as good.
This seriously helped me alottt.. Thanks a bunch for this video. I have been searching about this for hours and i stumbled upon your video and believe me out of all the videos , this insipired and motivated me the most❤❤
Im so happy it helped! It's hard finding info that explains the self publishing process in a clear way. I'm so glad this video was able to inspire and motivate u 💕
I love the light academia vibe going on, and your channel is so cool and aesthetic. also I've written a book of poems Named MOONCHILD SOULS and would absolutely be over the moon if you would read, review and spread the word about it. 💜
Hey! How do you organise your poem writing? Do you have any tips? Like If I should use one document for the different topics I write about, or one document per poem, if there are any good apps for organizing etc.
I have a list of poems I've written over the years, but I don't know how I'd structure them into an e-book. They're all on random topics, is there anyone who could give me some pointers?
That’s a really good question. I did a similar thing with my poetry book. I had a collection of poems I’ve written over the years but had trouble structuring them and tying them together in a meaningful way. What I ended doing what making a sort of metaphor tht encompasses the book. My metaphor was pastel skies. The book was dividing into three parts which were thunderstorm (dark pastels), blue skies (bright pastels), and starry nights (the canvas). I took all my more sad and angry poems in the first section, my hopefully poems in the second section, and my imaginative ones in the last one. As the reader is reading the book they are collecting diff pastel colours to create their own pastel skies with their emotions. Find a small similarity between some of ur poems and find a creative way to string them together by making ur own metaphor or storyline tht flows thru the book
I have kind of a dumb question: I drew up my cover, and I've perfected it, but I'm confused on how to size it. Is there a website that I can add a spine/size so I can upload it to KDP? I tried to put it in their maker but it was so tedious :s Thank you.
hey ria, for my table of contents, do you recommend I make it manual or is it fine I use the option on word to make it when submitting for publishing? if I use the word option then the titles become sort of like a hyperlink where if you click it then it takes you to that page, and the page numbers align better. when I try to do it manually I somehow cant align the page numbers that well. also, at the end of my manuscript, do I have to do a page where I write 'END?' because I know people who write fiction and non fiction usually do this.
Hi, I also want to self-publish my poetry but is it really possible to do this full time and become only a self-publish poet? I heard that you can’t really make a living or a lot of money from poetry so I always procrastinated but poetry is my passion and I love to write! I’d appreciate it if you can give me some tips? Thank you! 😊
Hey hope you're well! I'm so glad I came across your video as I'm also currently writing my book. Really helpful advice , keep up your great work! Are you on any social media platforms I'd love to keep up with you and your work?
Thanks for this video! I am wondering, for each book that gets sold on Amazon, what percentage do you get to profit off of and what percentage of the money goes to Amazon?
Thats a good question. The downside to selling on Amazon is that they do take 60% of your profit. It's a nice option for self publishing when starting out and the greater you set the price, greater the profit. I hope that was helpful
Loved your video thanks. I'm thinking about self publishing my first book on poetry. What I'm confused about is buying your books in bulk, and then selling them to other venues. Can you give me and example of this? What other venues? Is this like being a door to door salesman or would you sale to the people requesting them from amazon?
@Ria K. *PLEASE COME BACK AND CONTINUE TEACHING HOW TO PUBLISH, TAKE PHOTOS AND ADD THESE PHOTOS INTO THE BOOK* *YOUR VIDEO WAS SO EASY AND INSPIRATIONAL. I LOVE HOW YOU KEEP IT SIMPLE*
Hello there. I recently watched your video and wow your information about self publishing was extremely helpful. Which led me in the right different to help encourage myself and motivated me to look for my book to be published really soon. With that being said what's the name of your poem book? Or a link where to find it at. Thanks so much.
Hello, you're video has made me more inspired as a young writer. Can you share your instagram? So i can actively read your posts or work for anything related to poetry.

How did it go?

How’d it go:)
Poetry, what a lonely talent...
This sentence alone is quite poetic
very tru

Poetry is such a beautiful talent. To put feelings in just a few sentences instead of a paragraph is a talent in itself🏃♀️
Lonely but never alone
Did you type your poems on Microsoft Word ??
Heyyy you are awesome 😊
thank you for this... i have my poetry book handwritten but this gave me the inspo i needed to just go ahead and do it :)
I'm so glad it inspired you to go ahead with your poetry book. I wish you luck :)
