I still remember the first time i ever saw a ford bronco as a little kid and I instantly fell in love with them, when i was 19 I traded my first car (1996 ford thunderbird lx) for a 1989 Ford bronco xlt 5.8L, loved the hell out of that truck but it broke down on me with the top off and to make it worse it rained hard af that night (I live in michigan) and was simply to much to fix for me at the time and had to sell it, fast forward a few years later and i saved up to buy my second and current bronco which is my daily driver believe it or not. Its a black and tan 1996 eddie baur with the 5.8L, ive had her for 8 years now and plan on keeping her for life no matter how many parts i have to go through to do it! My son was born last night and I always said if i ever had a son this would be his one day when i knew he could respect it and not trash it and thats what i plan to do with it.. till then im going to enjoy building it up as close to new as i can get it and making memories with it like i already have been for all these years... I have some videos of it over on my fb page for anyone who would like to take a look 🙂
Love the story, man! Do you think your son would be stoked if he won a Yankum Ropes recovery kit? If he doesn't like it, you can have it! haha you WON the giveaway! Go ahead and shoot me an email | Mitch@wildhorses4x4.com | and I'll get the information I need to get the kit headed your way! Thanks for watching the video!

You two look good in a PINK Bronco. Shout out to Keisha for letting you drive her prize Bronco. I don’t know if I could let you drive my automatic. Maybe. naaaaa!
I have a fully restored, mostly stock '72, 302 with a 3 speed on the column. I've owned it for 33 years. I restored it 30 years ago. I have been teaching my 18 year old son how to drive it since it will be his one day and he also wants to take it to homecoming next month. It has been comical at times especially trying to teach hill holding! But he is doing much better than I expected to be honest.
Nice job driving the 3OTT. I liked Kiesha's Baywatch slowmo and all the guy jokes. I guess Mitch is the ladies' man. He takes it easy, slow and gentle on the linkages. 😂 Russ did a great job too.
My 76 was a 3 on the tree for about 4 years after I bought it. Then I changed it out for the NP435. Enjoyed driving it as a 3 speed, but wanted the low first gear for crawling.
I really enjoyed visiting the shop last week, and had a great tour of the facility with your dad. I got to see the two door with the portals installed. Now to break it to the wife that I want a set now.
Nice to see you drive me to three on the tree. That’s what I grew up with. My 69Bronco a Hurst floor shift in it. But when I bought it, it was a three on the trade. I drove it a couple years that way on an off-road before converting it to a floor shift when the linkage finally wore out. One thing about a three on the tree is even those people who can drive standard might not be able to figure it out so it’s very unlikely that a three on the tree bronco will ever get stolen. It was nice to meet Keisha. I have never seen her before she the very nice bronco and she’s a very good looking girl wish her and all of you the best. I could really use that Yankam rope. I have been buying parts from you guys for years and I’m pretty sure I still have $100 gift card to spend. If I win the Yankam rope, I will buy some accessories from you guys to go with it.
Matthew borrowed my little 66 halfcab three on the tree for a date, I was extremely nervous letting him run the original stocker. Imagine my surprise when I found a VALET tag on the floor days later!!! He let a valet take my stocker!!!
You guys did better than I thought you would! Way to represent gen z. All you gotta do now is build a bronco like Keisha did , front to back /top to bottom.
Honestly, you don't see them around very much. I think most have gone to a hurst floor shifter or some type of 5 speed conversion like the AX15 or Nv3550.
Russ and Mitch have been around them forever, they've just never had the opportunity to drive one. Most of the Broncos we get our hands on have been swapped over to a floor shifter.
Had a 68 with a 3 on the tree when I was a young man. Brings back memories

I have a 74 I bought new, it had a three on the tree until it was changed out to a floor shift. Fun to watch, keep making great video's.

Back in the 80's in owned a Dodge tradesmen 150 with 318 V8 glaspack header conversion van and 3 on the tree. What a blast that was to drive
I learned to drive on my dad’s three on the tree 71 Bronco. Now it’s mine. Just installed a 12k winch on the front and need to get some recovery gear.

Thanks for watching!
Got that fresh to death fade lol. Drove a 3 on the tree old Ford for a summer job. Got to 3rd gear by the time I was going 20mph 😂
Great video. Thanks to Keisha for showing the guys how to drive a good ‘ol 3 on the tree!
She's the bawse!!!
Man that bronco is clean, excellent video and great job guys! Wr need a pitbull update video Mitch
Keisha is the best! That Bronco is awesome!
She's awesome!

Ah the memories of the ol 3 on the tree. Those were the days
Good job driving that thing. Sweet bronco. I need that rope!! I got nothing yet as far as recovery gear
Love the three on the tree Bronco!
Definitely a great skill to have!
Now I’m thinking of bringing my old 3-spd up from its uncomfortable spot on the floor, back to the tree…kinda miss it.
Great video! Cool to see Kiesha's bronco in person at the NW Bronco Roundup.
We're glad she made it out there!
I really enjoyed visiting the shop last week, and had a great tour of the facility with your dad. I got to see the two door with the portals installed. Now to break it to the wife that I want a set now.
Let us know if you need any help convincing haha

As always, entertaining videos from the Wildhorses guys! See you down at S.C. in TN next spring. Lets do a video out there on a trail.
nice to see you guys here at least I see Mitch and keisha often at supercel east :)
That was a good one, intro made me laugh! Keep them coming!
3 on the tree is a blast to drive
Wish I was there. I learned to drive in a '73 F250 3 on the tree. I finally have '72 Bronco!
That intro was funny. Keep up the great videos.
Thanks for watching!
I learned on a three on the tree. Awesome
Sold my 74 and now owner of a gen 6. Let's go!
Tree on da tree is da way to go.
Go Kiesha!! Well done guys!
Thanks for watching!
Wow, I'm telling my age. I'm not a great grandfather and I loved driving them.
It's interesting to look back at the speculation knowing what we know now. What you got right and where you missed.
I love my 3 on the tree. It’s a little finicky at times. But I’ve been driving one since I was a kid. And it’s a great anti theft device.
Matthew borrowed my little 66 halfcab three on the tree for a date, I was extremely nervous letting him run the original stocker. Imagine my surprise when I found a VALET tag on the floor days later!!! He let a valet take my stocker!!!
Oh no! haha surprised the Valet knew how to drive it
Loved that intro haha.
Three on the tree is the way to be !!
keep them coming!
Have not driven a Bronco with three on the tree, but have driven a number of vehicles with. Been a long time.
I wanted her to teach you at the sand drags during the racing where the entire crowd could give you pointers on the way down the track!!!
We knew better than that hahaha
I have a 1968 with 3 on the tree - had exhaust replaced - the kid at the shop had his dad show him how to drive to get it in the lift
Keep up the great work!
Sweet Bronco and fun vid!
She built it herself!
Oh my, I learned 3 on a tree at 14 on my bronco then at 17 I moved it to the floor. That was in the 1980's
My first Bronco was 3 on the tree drove for a couple of years til I put Hearst shifter in the floor
Awesome !!!
Good Stuff, love the videos
Very nice Pink Bronco
GET SOME!!!
Thanks for watching!
Great video!!
LETS GO 🏁
Great video
11:28 My first two cars were three on the tree, and so is my EB. Driving one is nearly a lost art!
Just a H pattern on the column.
Drove my 66 just the other day. 3 on the tree 6cyl. Not fast but fun
It's definitely not a hard concept to grasp
No shame Mitch. I’m 50 and never driven a 3OTT! (Ok, I’m actually ashamed😂)
HAHA maybe if you’re nice, someone will let you drive theirs 😂
Great video..
Gen X here and I drove a 3 on the tree 63 Nova. easy peasy.
There's nothing hotter than a beautiful girl driving a Bronco. 😍
What about Mitch and Russ?? ahaha
Hey do I get a haircut with my radiator!!? 🤔🤣😎
That's an interestingly worded questions haha we wouldn't recommend cutting your hair with a radiator lolll
@@wildhorses4x4 🤣🤣🤣🤔😉😎❤️🔥
What is the 3 of yours Manual driving history? Especially Kiesha's (did she drive 5 or 6 speed first)?
I recall teaching a few people how to drive my 3spd. Fun experience and I'd love to have one in a street bronco again.
I was waiting to see you guys in heels😅
Lite bright nation. 😂
Three on the trees are actually pretty fun once you get the hang of it
You did awesome Mitch! Driving a three on the tree manual is definitely fun. I would love to own a classic Bronco with a three on the tree trans.
It's definitely different! But it was about time we learned! haha
You guys did great ! My 74 was a three on the tree. Fun video to watch. 👍
I've got 73 , 3 on tree
More haircut videos!?!, I think.
You guys did better than I thought you would! Way to represent gen z. All you gotta do now is build a bronco like Keisha did , front to back /top to bottom.
3 young kids but only 1 old soul. Can we guess which one is the old soul?
😉
Russ hahaha
I stopped watching at 9:45, how do I win the rope? 😂
How can you be classic Bronco guys and not know or ever have driven a 3 on the column?
Honestly, you don't see them around very much. I think most have gone to a hurst floor shifter or some type of 5 speed conversion like the AX15 or Nv3550.

#yankum
I only drove a three on the tree once myself. Who knows if I will again. 🫤
