I've owned and loved both breeds, but the English Bull Terrier's have had the most personality of any dog I've ever owned by far. They can be quirky or silly and sometimes it's like they mimic the mannerisms of humans, from their temperament down to the seating positions they'd choose (often upright using the backrest like a human kicking back watching TV on the couch).
English Bull Terriers have a habit of turning people into massive promoters of them due to their quirky, loving and unique character. I grew up with dogs, and am on my 5th dog now, with the last 2 having been English Bull Terriers and at this point I can’t have any other breed. At first I thought this was just me, but because they’re kinda unusual and rare other EBT owners are ALWAYS super eager to speak with you. It’s hilarious the number of times I’ve had people go out of their way to stop my on the street, sometimes even pulling over in their cards to get out and talk to me when they see me walking with my EBT. It’s like their quirky crazy charms make all their owners just a little bit crazy too 😂
I've been a proud owner of both...Love both breeds to bits. But I'd have to say that Bull Terriers are more than a dog, they're absolutely psychos in the best of ways. Absolutely fucking insane. You could watch them for hours and keep asking yourself, what's happening inside those brains? They're soft, sensitive, ridiculous, rough, tough, protective, giving, trustworthy... People called them ugly and you know they're gorgeous.
My elderly aunt got injured by a bull terrier - NO, he didn't bite her (not intentionally anyway). She was in a squatting position weeding her garden when suddenly her neighbour's bull terrier got out of his yard and ran toward her, bowling her over then taking her hand and pulling her. He wanted to play, but without drawing blood twisted her shoulder. She had to get treated by her doctor. My aunt insisted that the dog was friendly (turned out he really was). My impression of bull terriers are that they are playful, friendly, and affectionate, but are like the proverbial bull in the China shop. They're the only breed of dog I know that can cause serious damage unintentionally without even biting. If I'm out to lunch on this, please correct me. I'm not a dog owner.

The American Pitbull is the more impressive dog of the two. It is stronger, tougher, has better stamina, more tenacious, a more popular/common working dog, and more game. When I was young, about 5 years old and growing up in the East End of London, an elderly neighbour lived on his a few doors away from us. He had a pure white Bull Terrier, and the dog would not let anyone near his house, even my mother, who was very friendly with the gentleman who owned the Bull Terrier. However, if I was with my mother, then the dog would come running out, put his paws on the gate, and would let me fuss and pet him as long as I wanted to - and my mother would be able to chat to the owner! To this day I love Bull Terriers, and would love to have one, but my wife thinks they are unfriendly and ugly! 😮
The photos are not Pit Bull and because of this I do not believe this is a good educational video. You are teaching what a pit Bull does not look like. It is always best to use photo of the breed you are speaking about.

this is the same guy who edited and posted in a video that a bull terrier is heavier, taller and bites harder at the same time showing us a picture of american bully's. bro is a goofy

Nice video, would add that Bull Terriers have Collie and Dalmation in their genes. Both very clever and independent. Also think APTBs are in need of more exercise. Bull Terriers are way cleverer than people think they look. Both lovely as in the right hands, but Bull Terrier is the one that will challenge and surprise in their intellect.
Having owned 2 English bulls for 12 years, and now an apbt, these are pretty much accurate. I found that English bulls can be a lot more stubborn, and apbt are slightly better at listening and learning.
EBT’s are my favourite make. Lost my mine 3 yrs ago, still hurts. Got a Border, he’s crazy. Pit bulls are a banned breed in England. Shame really, the drug dealer/ plonkers dog of choice a few years ago. NEVER the dogs fault, always the owners. Still see them, some are big Staffies and Staffie crosses. Good Vid 👍
Pitbulls are also banned in many cities and counties in the US. It is an inherently aggressive breed. In fact, it can prevent you from getting homeowners insurance as well due to the high risk nature of the breed.
My Bullterrier needs protection from himself, he swallowed his toy and needed emergency operation, another time the neighbours dog came to close to our fence he just ripped of a 2inch thick piece of wood.
Most of the dogs depicted as american pitbull terriers are any thing but.american bullies, amstaffs etc. Totally misinformation. If you're going to provide information do it correctly.
You obviously don't know what your talking about.half of these "pitbulls" aren't even pitbulls. And the stats are horribly inaccurate. U say pitbulls weigh up to like 65 pounds. And show 150 pound dogs with boxed faces as u say it
Let's be honest first of all with ourselves. Pitbull (working, of course) is perfection itself and the gods will not give such a miracle to man, but the bullterrier is an ordinary dog with a non-standard appearance, although it has a common ancestor with the Pitbull.
Pit bull is actually a mix between an old English bulldog and old English terrier. A bull terrier is those 2 breeds plus dalmatian, Spanish pointer, whippet, rough collie, and borzoi.
None of this is true, the true ancestor of the APBT is the bullenbessier, they were a catch dog then, they are a catch dog now. Besides APBT have unique DNA, there is no hybrid there.
English bull terriers are the best dog breed on the planet ive owned 1 pit bull and 2 English bull terriers. They are formidable dogs. So strong and tough but also very laid back and easy going. They never want trouble or cause any… but by no means underestimate them they wasnt know as “ king of the canine world” for nothing. Its like the old saying “still water runs deep” english bull terriers are so docile and easy going you forget what they are capable of
The Bulldog originated in England in the 11 century and all subsequent breeds are derived from here. They truly are the best breed of canine personally and have had a huge effect on my life. Kennel clubs and reputable breeders on both sides of the pond, as well as in some European countries, have worked tirelessly to enhance the reputation of the breed, and the overall health, eliminating genetic problems where possible. Unfortunately, some humans raise dangerous, feral children who become extremely violent, kill and cause havoc in their respective communities. The same people are responsible for the abuse of these fantastic beasts and breed Bitches to death, passing on inherent, genetic problems and mutations. Just like their human counterparts.
I think any dog can be cat friendly my apbt loves my cat. And my cat loves him. But you still see the dog chase the cat here and there sometimes but it’s all love
I had a BT who hated cats. He chased a big tom cat one time, into thick bushes. He came out the other side of the bushes with the cat clamped firmly to his head. He carried the scars for the rest of his life, and never bothered a cat ever again. Lesson learnt.
Clearly made by a someone desperately trying to validate their personal bias towards pitbulls that has little, if ANY legitimate experience with bull terriers. Its videos like this that flood bull terrier rescues with dogs after their owner follows advice and information like this, and buy a dog because " it looks cool", and some rando on youtube said they are just like "pitbulls"( which is nothing but a blanket term for any medium sized, muscular, shorthaired mutt and anybody saying otherwise is lying to profit on your ignorance) Do your due diligence when getting a dog. Know the breed you are getting before you get into a situation you cannot handle. Voulenteer at a rescue, they ALL need the help. Then, maybe think about fostering a few times to get to know what you are in for. Then think about adoption.
@@bruce6rt I LOVE my bull terriers. No other dog makes the cut for me, as is the case for most bull terrier owners. Ive personally owned or fostered dogs from every backstory possible. Papered show dogs, professional studs from champion bloodlines( yep... I can put "dog pimp" on my resume and it will check out.) Puppies rejected and/ or mutilated by their mother, "bait dogs" that didnt preform well in fighting, confirmed cat and dog killers, dogs with human aggression issues, biters, and one in particular that would brutally attack older asian women on sight. But the SINGLE most common reason the rescue i work for sees these dogs come in for is ignorance on the part of the owner. Everobody wants a bull terrier and expects it to be a labradoodle. And blames the dog for something they could have avoided if theyd do just a bit of honework on them.
Saying that bull terriors are as healthy as pitbulls is absurd. I've never seen a bull terrior that didn't have health issues. Half of them can't walk or breathe
@@Dc-kk9bd so, what your saying is that youve never seen a bull terrier? Because other that the chance of a dislocated knee( something not very uncommon across ALL extremely active breeds) your judgement is 100% inaccurate. They are known to have eyesight issues, as well as hearing problems, a few specific skin condotions, a host of mental health problems( from agression to OCD) , a few neurological disorders an ONE easily identifiable heart condition... But NEVER, EVER, in the DECADES ive been actively involved with this breed have i seen ANYTHING that " justifies" the assertions youve made about them here. Bull terriers are NOT " known for" breathing problems, nor muscular-skeletal issues.
Very well said, and very sound advice. Bull terriers have been owned and bred by my family (ENGLISH) for 4 generations. They are terrible dogs. Once you have one, you will want 2. It is also worth noting that BTs are puppies all their life. They will destroy anything and everything if they take a fancy to it. One of mine ATE my stairs. Bottom treads, newel post, and ballusters. Plus the carpet. And when I confronted him, he hid under his paws as if to say "WASN'T ME.".... You cannot be mad at them. They won't allow it. You have to laugh. Anybody thinking about them should follow the above advice. And then be hooked forever. Enjoy.

Stubborn, you need to stay consistent in your training and demand their attention and submission, when they finally get it and submit they are happier and more secure in your care and love for them.
私は10種類以上の雑種犬、日本犬や洋犬飼ってきました。今も柴犬、ピンシャーとブルテリアを飼っています。

My favorite breed is a miniature brindle bull terrier and I happen to be getting one soon 😀
Oh they are such cute puppies!
How exciting! Congrats! I can't wait to have another mini bull. I miss mine!
@@AustralianMakoDog SAME I CANT WAIT TO GET A ENGLISH BULL TERRIER
Got 3 English Bull Terriers, mum and 2 of her only litter mates. They are all still young dogs and a real handful. Having had this breed since 1988 theres no other for me. 💕
They are cousins you could say, that's why they are so similar. English bull was one of the dogs thrown in the mix to make the pit bull.
APBTs pedigrees date back further than English bulldogs, the real ancestor of the APBT is the bullenbessier, not the bull and terrier.
The pitbull and the amstaffs are just extentions of the English Staffordshire bull terriers
@@Spyrit2011Who told you that load of rubbish? The bulldog is much older than the bullenbeiser and the pit bull. The pit bull originates from England, learn to read real books instead of made up crap on line..
Why are you showing photos of American bullys and calling them pit bulls
I’ve had 4 in 25 years (2 pairs) 2 had nervous temperament and were extremely dangerous to other people and dogs, still got the scars from one attack 🤣 we got there in the end though 😍 they are a frightening animal when they lose control, don’t underestimate them!!!!
I’ve seen everything this breed has to offer in the 4 I had, every different personality you can think of🤣
Why the f would you keep nervous bull and terriers if they were dangerous to people?
@@bengillen1287 I’m not a person that gives up on a dog and throws the towel in, too many people these days lack perseverance and determination and as long as you keep other people safe from your dog it isn’t a problem, I for one am capable of that , sadly many incompetent people are not.
@@julianmorris9951 Good on you! Too many people give up in dogs at the first sign of difficulty. 👍
Can I ask what breed your talking about the APBT or English bull terriers?
@@lexithebullterrier3813 it’s the bull terrier or sometimes incorrectly called the English.
Your wife needs training. She'll learn.
They all do..........
The photos are not Pit Bull and because of this I do not believe this is a good educational video. You are teaching what a pit Bull does not look like. It is always best to use photo of the breed you are speaking about.
Most of them weren’t even pit bulls but you don’t need to cry about it
@@CyberBully100 Not crying about nothing. I am stating a fact. People use these as educational videos. What are they teaching? They are teaching that a Pit Bull is any dog you want it to be. This is untrue. So I just made the statement that the dogs were not it bull so people watching would inderstand that fact.
Surely the Pitbull's origins are from the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which is in the UK?
this is the same guy who edited and posted in a video that a bull terrier is heavier, taller and bites harder at the same time showing us a picture of american bully's. bro is a goofy
3:11 Danny Bull Terrier 🐾 💕
I've had three bullies. Can't speak for the pittie but I'd give the BT side of this video a B+ on accuracy.
Dang bull terrier weight as much as a Pitbull but smaller
Muscle mass
No, un bullterrier macho pesa más que un pitbull, un pitbull pesa desde 22 kilos a 30 kilos, y un bullterrier puede pesar desde los 22 kilos hasta los 45 kilos
Bro bullterrier was one of best storngest and good bites in world
Pound for Pound they are the most muscular dog in the world.
They both originate from England, i don't think there was one picture of a Pitbull there, you showed these cross bred steroid pumped poor examples.
This pretty much sums up my bull terrier. She does try to bully some dogs but other than that it seems about right.
I have a bull terrier and a pit bull mix. Her face is pit bull and her body is like a bull terrier. Great combination

thank you, also make an Australian Shepard comparison with pug
Shepherd with pug..??
It looks odd how you can compare a toy breed with working breed..
@Christopher Johnson asking me..?
I don’t think this is a good video for people looking to buy one of these lovely breeds. I have a pit bull and I have a friend with a American bull terrier and neither of them are even close to what they are perceived as. My pitbull is very loving and caring and the bull terrier has never bitten anyone. My advise is to ask a pitbull owner for help instead of watching these types of videos
Very well said
Others have ruined the breed for you. The same with the Doberman a few years back. They were crazy dogs. Enjoy what you have and show by example. I used to think Rots were evil until a friend got two of the biggest dogs I have ever saw. Big pussy cats.
@@finscreenname lol by God my uncle had a German Rottweiler that was definitely Satan's hound I swear you know how dogs eyes have big pupils usually this mf was scary looking as hell I wouldn't even look her in the eyes she was 155lbs of evil lol and he had her trained in German i would be at his house and he would let her in without me knowing that bitch would come sit on my foot and dare me to move I was like damnit
The English bull terrier for me, a beautiful dog
Nice video, would add that Bull Terriers have Collie and Dalmation in their genes. Both very clever and independent. Also think APTBs are in need of more exercise. Bull Terriers are way cleverer than people think they look. Both lovely as in the right hands, but Bull Terrier is the one that will challenge and surprise in their intellect.
That pitbull aggressiveness is my type...no one can stop when he really want it 😅
🇬🇧🇺🇸 both awesome K9s
Having owned 2 English bulls for 12 years, and now an apbt, these are pretty much accurate. I found that English bulls can be a lot more stubborn, and apbt are slightly better at listening and learning.
This video bs is FAR from accurate
I really like both of these
Dog breeds
Lost mine a little over 3 years too, hurts ,
You have the American Pitbull Terrier then the Bully then you have the English bullterrrier who's nickname is bully for those of you who don't know
Bull Terrier = 4 star cat friendly 😂😂😂😂 My Bull Terrier absolutely hates cats.
wow thx for do a comparasion and not a fight
Forgot that the English White Standard Bullterrier surely much more beautiful is than a Pitbull.
Some for the white mini bull
You are showing American bullys not pitbulls
Both are amazing dogs but my money is on bull terrier
3:11 it's me 😁
I was a bull terrier owner and will always be a bull terrier lover
Dogs are a reflection of the "Owner."
This video bs I don't think you showed one Real American Pit Bull Terrier
My next dog is gonna be a bull terrier for sure.right now I have a weenie dog 💙💙💙
Why showing bullies pictures instead of some proper and historical representative american pit bull terrier?
English Buu was always my favourite ❤
I love Bullterrier.
bull terrier is not stranger friendly believe me my old dog was bull terrier
Hey they forgot the bestest looking!!! Best looking: Pittbull ***. Bull Terrier *****
I love bull terriers!😎🤘
My Bullterrier needs protection from himself, he swallowed his toy and needed emergency operation, another time the neighbours dog came to close to our fence he just ripped of a 2inch thick piece of wood.
Not the cat with the pit being held hostage 😂
As a Bullterrier Papa since 30 years I partly agree an partly disagree.
My bullterier hates cats bro he likes birds
Most of those dogs where American bullys not pitbulls.
My bull terrier hates cats
My bully thinks he is cat.
That’s not a pit bull it’s a American bully
Most of the dogs depicted as american pitbull terriers are any thing but.american bullies, amstaffs etc. Totally misinformation. If you're going to provide information do it correctly.
You obviously don't know what your talking about.half of these "pitbulls" aren't even pitbulls. And the stats are horribly inaccurate. U say pitbulls weigh up to like 65 pounds. And show 150 pound dogs with boxed faces as u say it
Was kinda expecting a KD raito for the dogs LMAO
My Bull Terrier Watching This With Me 😂💯
the first picture is American bully not a pitbull secondly they both originate from the uk..
99% of pictures shown are not pitbulls fml
Why are American bully’s in this?
Bullterrier child friendly, YES - but leave alone with a kid - NO.
They didn't show not 1 pitbull all American bullys not the same breed
Let's be honest first of all with ourselves. Pitbull (working, of course) is perfection itself and the gods will not give such a miracle to man, but the bullterrier is an ordinary dog with a non-standard appearance, although it has a common ancestor with the Pitbull.
I Love both!! My Dog Lady Sia was a Mix..
Love my Pit and would never trade her for anything.
Bull Terrier hands down the best
Bull terrier winner💪💪💪😍🤩😘😗😚😙😋😛😜😝😏💋💌💝💖💗💞💕💟❣️❤️💥💥💥💥💥
you really should get more views
Bull terrier is 338 psi. And the pit gets it's aggressiveness from the bull terrier. A pit is a cross btw bull terrior and old English bulldog.
Pit bull is actually a mix between an old English bulldog and old English terrier.
A bull terrier is those 2 breeds plus dalmatian, Spanish pointer, whippet, rough collie, and borzoi.
A bull terrier is actually less agreesive than a pit bull. Actually created to be a gentleman's dog or companion
None of this is true, the true ancestor of the APBT is the bullenbessier, they were a catch dog then, they are a catch dog now. Besides APBT have unique DNA, there is no hybrid there.
@@Spyrit2011 bullenbessier is where the boxer comes from.
@@elichai7777 A boxer is not a catch dog. The old portraits of a bullenbessier don't look like a boxer.
Its like the old saying “still water runs deep” english bull terriers are so docile and easy going you forget what they are capable of
I have an half bull terrier... its amazing breed.
Why do you put only pics from bully and not apbt???
Just like their human counterparts.
we're not talking about real American pitbull terrier (blue nose, red nose) here when we look at some photos. Rather some dog crossbreeds.
Half of your pit bull photos are actually bully photos.
Clearly made by a someone desperately trying to validate their personal bias towards pitbulls that has little, if ANY legitimate experience with bull terriers. Its videos like this that flood bull terrier rescues with dogs after their owner follows advice and information like this, and buy a dog because " it looks cool", and some rando on youtube said they are just like "pitbulls"( which is nothing but a blanket term for any medium sized, muscular, shorthaired mutt and anybody saying otherwise is lying to profit on your ignorance)
Do your due diligence when getting a dog. Know the breed you are getting before you get into a situation you cannot handle. Voulenteer at a rescue, they ALL need the help. Then, maybe think about fostering a few times to get to know what you are in for. Then think about adoption.
Well put. Bullterriers are definitely not a dog for the inexperienced. Best dogs ever, absolut clowns at times, but can be extremely challenging.
Enjoy.
Not seen any Apbt in this video 😂
Pitbulls come in brindle colors too.
So many dogs weren't pitbulls in the pics.. it's misleading.
Nice video, but you showed English Bull Terriers and like 10 other dogs, sine stafies, some American bulldogs, ect
