Thank you for the great feedback . I will say I was impressed with the replacement fans , they were not the oem however they have been working great since and looked oem. It was also nice for the price to replace it all new. Another thing I would add is if your overflow tank is cloudy I'd go ahead and replace it . Mine was cloudy and after putting it all together realized it had a small leak . I was able to squeeze a new tank in without removing anything but the ac hose clamp . Anyways I found one cheap on ebay and it was only 10 dollars and it's worked great and now I can actually see the fluid level . Anyways thank you for watching

Great video. My wife wanted to surprise me by having the dealer replace the fans on my 05 mazda6 since they ran so high even after having the engine turned off, and as well as valve cover gasket. It took them 3 days to do so(they originally said one day). They quoted her for a bunch of stuff that needs to be fixed(already aware of). While they were testing and or replacing the fans, "the radiator failed" for which they quoted her about $1000 to fix. Needless to say i can save myself some $$ by attempting it myself or even going to a mechanic. I'm pretty mechanically inclined as I've changed brakes, rotors and other minimal stuff in the car before. It looks like most of the work here is getting to the radiator where you can remove and replace it. I've subscribed btw.

@@s33therfan Have any tips on engine bay cleaning? Or have you done a video on that? I figured while I'm down there and have so much access to some otherwise not so accessible place I might as well clean the engine,parts and what have you.
The best thing is a pressure washer , even without cleaner the water will blast all the greasy gunk out of there. I know this one was horrible on the engine side and I had washed it best I could. Purple cleaner works really well and a long handled scrub brush like you use for tires. Make sure to wear gloves because those degreasers are pretty harsh on the hands. Thanks again.
@@s33therfan Well I don't own a pressure washer but I was more concerned with getting things wett that shouldn't be. No problem.

It should be the same fans I believe , and the front end will be the same . I haven't worked on one with the 3.0l but it shouldn't make the coolant fan replacement any more difficult . Thanks for watching
There is a small 1/2" hose to the left of the upper cooling hose. Do you know what that is for?
Thats the hose that runs to the throttle housing . Its made for frost prevention but it warm climates unecessary . It does not affect how it runs or idles and alot will plug or bypass it. Thanks for watching
Thank you for documenting this. I was looking for a video to help with changing out the condenser on my wifes '06 3.0L. This is exactly what I needed. Hopefully will not have to do the job but will to keep more money in my pocket. Thinking either a/c refrigerant is low or condenser is clogged since the a/c blows warm air when idling but cools down when moving. If it turns out to be the condenser, should I replace the radiator too since ill be down there anyway? Its the original.
I would start with the fans , check if they are blowing hard enough. Sure would not hurt to change the radiator while you are there. May be able to clean the condenser and radiator at the car wash and check for improvement. Really sounds like a fan issue if it cools fine highway speed. Thank you for watching.

I had this situation once and it was the thermostat stuck shut. Start there the thermostats are cheap. I would definitely get it fixed soon so it does not overheat the engine. Thanks for watching.

I believe it may have been the hood latch sensor . The only other wires up there were to air temperature sensors. Thanks for watching.
