Bro I've been watching your channel from the very beginning I love all your knowledge and know how I've always wanted to find a diamond in the rough and bring a car back myself. And today I bought a 92 da integra in greaaaaat shape..
After watching move through these older cars I finally bought a battery powered impact wrench. I can’t wait to try it out after using standard ratchets for a long time.
I've also read multiple long time owner reviews who suggest if you have the pillow ball top mount to take it apart & grease it very well, because after not too many miles they get really loud & clunky. Thanks for the uploads Dana, this one looks like it'll be a great build, well they all are.
Bro no joke I was so excited to use them on my civic I was driving one day and one of my bolts came off of the top hat I was so upset and then the other 3 of the suspension had the same issue so disappointed of the outcome of using them and I didn’t know that was such a big issue maxpeedingrods need to work on that…very unsafe thank you for the heads up on that now I know if I ever buy suspension from them again I have to double check that
I LOVE the way that car sits! I'm a big fan of the "lifted" stuff that shouldn't be. The Miata being a prime example of the style i like lol. Why your brother not drive that bad boy??
I'm really happy to see they included the collars for the front. When I bought mine for my dc4 I was at the yard everyday trying to find the strut forks from the 87-90. I still worry the forks might snap one day because the thickness difference is pretty pronounced.
I bought a set for my holden commodore it’s 1620kg though and I was paranoid about the clamp at the bottom as the are mcferson struts but it’s the thread that is weak I hit a pothole and snapped a strut in half below the coil locking ring also buckled an 18” wheel and slashed the new tyre
I have a 90 crx and I was wondering if the maxpeedingrod coilovers would be good for just daily driving. I’m on some no name brand that was already on the car and it’s all bouncy and old
Just picked up one Just like that. So crusty I'm really tempted to leave it has moss and likin all over it. Really appreciate all your vids on these wagos.
I want to get me some maxpeeding sp1s but don’t like the color so I must go with skunk2 the zinc like color and that red spring… for my build would be ideal
Yo my boy Dana thanks for explain about your brother wagon even I'm a og subscriber since your ef sedan was around I didn't know much about that wagon 😏
When you lift a wagon the rear LCA are swapped left to the right and right to the left and then flipped upside down. The reason your rear coilovers dont line up when you have them bolted into the LCA is because you need to swap the sides.
Whats up with the giveaway car? Haven't heard about it for awhile. Mine is a 91 standard that I'm doing a b16a turbo in. Was brought to a shop and got car back in peaces. So not happy so it's been sitting for years now. So so miss my crx. Just a really bad situation and would love to be back in a crx. Was a running car when I dropped it off and now in peaces. But your videos make me so want to get it running again. Just funds are not there now to finish it
i got the maxspeeding rods coilovers and on the last one. one of the studs broke off. im fucking devastated. im trying to build this car and my girl bugs about every cent i spend on it. is it safe to just weld the stud back on??
I bought some older models ones brand new a while back and where trash I tried to contact them but didn't hear back .... I threw rears in the trash and used the fronts to make some garage chairs...never buying them again
The reason the fronts don't go as low as because the pillow ball mount, it's useless on a Honda due to the way the suspension is setup. Just get there old style with adjustable dampening and your good to go. The hatch in my pic is on the old style and I still have another inch I can go.
Oil inside the bag is so it won’t rust, from sitting around with moisture 🤷🏻♂️ I figured that on my own 😂 😂 I hope everyone thinks the same, just like some tools, @matco ftw
I'm gonna go for a set of maxpeedingrods suspension setup, no point dropping serious cash on anything else due to the roads here in the UK destroying suspension components.
A lot of the UK builders use BC even with their pricing because tens of thousands of kilometers of bad roads doesn’t bother them at all. If you stay with similar chassis you can just move them from one car to another, things last and last even while being abused.
I am concerned by this mass explosion of Maxpeedingrods hardware. Is anything they sell produced in house or is everything simply white-label hardware? Reminds me of SSAutoChrome from back in the day.
It's all Chinese quality, quite possibly there's shared items that are rebranded they use, Or vice versa they produce items for other "name products" you know what Chinese items are like reps or clones
@@dinxsy8069 this is bad news. Poor to no quality control on products that can be potentially failure prone. I genuinely hope this does not become the case. Personally I will be avoiding their products.
@@nobodynoone2500 cost of manufacturing to reproduce the concepts is what will determine what they do. If the cost is too high you can surely expect lower quality reproductions. The days of EBAY REPS coming back. Cough cough SSAutoChrome.
@@tunanocrustgarage there is a potential for them to start get relaxed on the quality control. I kept looking at the lower cup when Dana spins it up to adjust ride height, can see some wobble
They probably treat you better....as for me, I'll never touch Max speed rods based off my experience with my is300. They are flooding UA-cam w these bs's
14:30 “Static is working in his driveway again. Deploy the choppa!”
Bro keep it up with the vids man only cool Honda yter I know that’s still making vids
"Glad to see you back on brother. Maxspeeding rods definitely stepping their game up.
The oil in the bag is to help prevent rust, almost like the protective coating on rotors that you should clean off.

right on for shouting out the og wagon forum, this is such a insane build I really regret going b20 now lol

I’ve seen people use plastic bins lids as a hood I’m sure you can fab a piece together to cover the hood. Sweet update 😎
Finally bro we get to see your brother's Wagon in action. dying to see the results. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪

Hondas get real dirty from sitting, just put some work in my hatchback but glad you got them coilovers swapped. I. Need a set

Been waiting to see you try the higher tier coilovers from maxspeedingrod
What a coincidence, mine just showed up and I’ll be put in them on my 88 hatch this weekend ! Thank you for the video.
be careful i got a set and the stud broke on installation.
Can’t wait to see your brothers car done🔥

Yee
I need an EF back in my life 😁
Hard to find a clean one these days

Sup dana. Maybe do a video where you go to a shock guy and get those whack ass coilovers valved. The bodies seem to be okay.
Great videos! Coils look nice in blue
I wish your brother had a chance to do a rally build lol call that EF the mini Evo
I’d love to see a off-roading wagon vid
i have an 89 crx what kit should i get?
Dope video man I want to put a k20z3 in my car as well with a crv transmission and make it AWD I have a 89 hatchback DX
Yes anther video I've been waiting bro

The final price of the maxspeed SP1 coilovers is 377 bucks after using the code. Not bad.
you can get different body's for the coil overs to go lower. just call them and tell them you need to go lower.
the oil is from deprived workers just overloading on assembly oil from what ive seen.
I been thinking about getting a set of these for my DC2 but the ride height issues have me reluctant.

if you dont run your springs maxed hard you can ride really low you can get prob another 2 inches of drop
Don't get them it cheap Chinese crap ...save a little cheese and get some decent ones ..you won't regret it
can you do more on an rd1 crv?

Never understood the need for 24 way dampers...7- 10 clicks is enough lol
MArketing. It's whack-ass valving anyway.
These are the new raceland coilovers lol
Full bump or compression damping on the front is not going to work for circuit racing. Try halfway or less bump to start with and adjust from there.
Sickk

Those coils are straight dookie lol
