Love the information/tutorial style videos! I actually curl my middle finger up against the inside edge of the rim on sidearm throws rather than a straight finger style. I get a lot of spin/snap with this hand placement. I love sidearmiming my Craves! You're missing out Dyan!!! Keep up the great work
Very good summary of the highlights. I do have to say that my biggest issue, once I got the grip sorted, was just keeping the throw on the same plane. If you start too high or low and correct mid-pull, you're gonna have wobble. I also loved what you said about avoiding the neutral discs on FH. On every FH video there are people saying that you *need* to learn to throw flippy discs that flip up and go straight. Even the pros very rarely use that shot and prefer to go BH in such cases just due to the consistency. You can absolutely learn clean forehands with overstable discs if you are just honest to yourself when evaluating the release and don't get fixated on the end result (fading right).
I love the straightforward instructional content! High reply value as I work to integrate the techniques because there is great explanation without a ton of preamble.
I love the Crave. My best forehand thrower for midrange. I know if I release it flat, it stays flat and fades right at the end. Plus the disk is super flat neutron plastic.
Sidearms are pretty cool and I like that there are different ways to go about it. Personally I do the "Pop n Stop" Method. I can sidearm 350 pretty consistently and I'm satisfied with that.
Good video overall for beginner. Never thought about the plant foot direction, but I naturally point forward. (looked at a freeze frame) I on the other hand use something more like a shryke which is more neutral and throw with some hyzer to flip up flat. Agree with picking discs of extreme difference though. I'm not great at throwing mids or understable drivers sidearm.. definitely need to work on that touch.
Yes, I'd like to watch more form videos. I totally feel your comment, that it seems to be a totally different player when it comes to forehand. I'm working on my backhand. I'm getting more and more constancy there. But I have absolutly no cobtroll for the forehand. It feels totally different and wrong :D
I learned from Eagles video. But then realized my body doesn’t move like that. I then started using the chop forehand idea from Gannon. Picking discs is underrated
I definitely like this instructional content. My finger placement is about the same as yours, but I’ve been told to keep my elbow in with very little to no reach back with power coming from mostly the spin/flick. I noticed that you do reach back, I’m curious of your thoughts on that. Secondly, I don’t understand how you got the Strive to go left, because that is not an under stable disc, I really expected it to curve right. Thanks for everything!! ✌️😃🥏⛳️
I suggest that you watch videos from Scott Stokely to learn about the elbow placement. Forehand throws have a lower spin to speed ratio, so they act less overstable.
Having a lot of problems with wobble's. Going to take your tips and see if I can improve my technique.. Another issue I have is that there is few areas where I can do throw practice. Like football fields, parks etc.. Do you have any good tips to areas that one can throw distance shots on that is not "obvious" places to go..
Question. Ive played twice now with 2 different discs. First time everything went left to right. 2nd time everything went right to left, or flipped upside down and died...wtf is that about? All overhand btw. Thanks
More forehand videos especially on the arm angles and effort to achieve distance increase
The direction/position of the foot plant was 100% informative!

Learned more in this 9 min video than I have in a couple years of watching forehand videos…
+1
More forehand please
More forehand what?
Thanks for the advice, you made me realize my foot is planting at a 30-degree angle in, def didn't realize I was doin that.
Happy to help!

I’m just barely a year into disc golf. I really want to develop a forehand, but have been hesitant. These tips are going to help me a lot. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing!
@@IceBergTV and thank you for another piece of good content!
Love this type of content. Keep doing it.
I am going to apply the foot placement advice. I noticed mine is at an angle. My forehand is inconsistent.
Great advices! Have to try next time on course!👍🏻 Thank you for the video!
Keep em coming. You're one of the best on UA-cam. Also you are not annoying which is very important lol. Thanks for your efforts.

It helped so much ✌️😊
Awesome!!
Loving your perspective on this!
Valuable information, thanks!

Eagles video was my first ever dg instructional video. Needless to say I ended up at the Chiropractors. I'm also 40 and not in my 20s anymore
Good content, thanks. I have two of those shirts and get comments every time I wear them.

@@cmlasley Thanks, I will definitely look that up. Thanks for your response.
Good info, thanks for making things so clear. Always announce your name at the beginning it will make you famous...
Good tip! Thanks
Can t wait too these tips on the turf👍
Great video
Im still 1 fingering my side arm. I should change because it wobbles crazy sometimes

Great advice! That park you're at looks very nice. What's it called?
Been wondering this for a while, I've played most of the courses in Charlotte and have yet to see this one.
NOOOOOO!!!!! I was waiting for the sprinkers to get you at the green. Dang it.
I love tutorials... ive played for 20 years and i still suck

The Orion LF is a -1, 2; That is neutral.
All i can speak on is how it flies for me. I also dont think flight #s are real or reliable. Flight characteristics matter more
Does it rip out of your fingers like the backhand or do you release it?
Not really, i think its mostly spin and whip of the elbow and wrist that make it go
Your forehand looks like you’re tossing it 100 feet. I look like I’m throwing to the next county, and I don’t get near the distance that you do. 🤦🏻
Hahaha yeah you gotta be smooth my man
As beautiful as the flex line is to look at, that is how ugly the wobble is to see. I know I have wobble 😣.
