I threw 244 today with a Lone Star The Dome today. I've been playing for a month and that is my personal best.

the disc wedged into the metal boxes, story of my life 😂 Appreciate the content! I definitely relate to the fairway driver going farther for my arm/form. Once I see myself turning them over consistently I'll bump up to drivers again,

I started with zones. Just 100-50 ft upshots. Then I moved up to BuzzzSS.Then Craves. One day I took my whole bag and threw everything sidearm. I started getting more distance and accuracy. I've been hitting 300-330ft recently with an Escape. Just this last week stepping up to Wraiths, Destroyers and Strives. Joseph from Another Round, Big Jerm, Nate Sexton, Kevin James and Goose are all big inspirations for me throwing sidearms. I've only been playing since September 2023.
I bend my fingers kinda claw style against the rim rather than a straight two finger style.
Great video! Thanks for sharing this info!

I use a blizzard boss for my forehands. I think that’s the disc that gets the furthest distance for me. It’s definitely a too high speed to get the most out of it for me, but i get the most distance out of that disc

Just finished up college baseball and trying to pick up disc golf. Great content!

You'll be able to pick up the forehand easier than most. I was a pitcher, and was going to play in college but had a pretty bad accident with my left arm.

I think my forehand max is right around 350 but its been a while since ive field tested my distance. But for an up shot, i always reach for the ZoneOS amd its the perfect forehand disc 🤌🏼👌🏼 anywhere from 150 to 50 im grabbing that

I don't really have a forehand (I try and use "Side arm" due to slight dyslexia blurting fore or back indiscriminately... sigh)
Anyhooze.. I find an important thing for disc selection is not only a neutral (at least for some distance) but edge shape for hand comfort...
I find every 'hold' focuses on the 1/2 finger, straight ir crossed etc... but what i found equally important was the comfort when holding that grip...
and for me, my ring finger sits with the nail just on the edge of the disc, flat against the rim up to the 1st knuckle.
This allows me to hold the disk nice and stable in my hand using that finger to give a 'third point of contact', as with it clear of the disc, my finger tips and base of the thumb are in line so there is the least amount of stability.
I'm also on the wrong side of 50 and although from a background of casual frisbee throwing, only took up Disc Golf in 2022 and have no sidearm as it tweaks a back muscle so I use what there is sparingly...
My go-to sidearm disc is a plasma Tesla (it feels sooo comfortable in my forehand) for that RHFH right hand turn through forests and a 280ft 1pm roller,

Completely agree, upu can get 250ft with just your wrist and the right disc. Whenever I explain to a first time forehander on how to throw I stress the importance of the wrist action and tell them not to involve their arm at all, it naturally does anyway. Proper wrist action imparts spin and so keeps the disc from turning over too much. You should absolutely be able to Forehand and Backhand the same discs and get similar flights, if you cant then you need to work on spin most likely. This is a big reason why I like watching you Molt, cause you can throw any stability either way

My forehand I can get about 380 stand still with a nuke but I use more of a stomping motion with my front foot

also a baseball player that naturally went to the forehand. Wraith ~370 ft, Sidewinder ~350 ft

    Zone 270ft
    Raptor 340
    And Ballista pros 380
But that 380 is very inconsistent, and I don't want to practiser hard forehands alot for risk of hurting my selfe 😅
Used to come closer to 400 as well. But hurt my middle finger last year and now I can't put pressure on it so have to throw with 3 finger stacked 😅🤷‍♂️

I can get up to 450ft+ with a Daedalus, 425ft+ with destroyers and other similar drivers. I use a stacked grip. It's pretty much about how hard you can rubber band your elbow to wrist, then the power you can push your wrist forward and rip it off your finger. Starts the same as all athletic movements, a chain from feet to hand, getting hip to shoulder separation, etc. Ryan Sheldon probably has the best video explaining forehands. He throws 600ft+ forehands, but I don't think his technique will be usable for everyone.

I throw LHBH and RHFH (unfortunately). I throw backhands 90% of the time, but my most precise throw for anything under 200ft is my flex forehand with a Zone OS

    Raptor - 325-350
Prototype flat Zeus - up to 400
That's with something thrown flat with a little turn with something stable and flat. I like them board flat.
Don't really like trying to chop over on anything too overstable.
I tend to struggle with touchy understable forehands. It's something I really wish I had in the bag tho.
My forehands fly just as far a my backhands sadly.

When I throw a forehand without power it’s fine, but when I throw with power it releases on a ton of anhyzer. Any tips on how to fix that?

Get your body really low before release, it almost autocorrects your nose angle

I have a lot of power with my forehand but accuracy is my biggest struggle. I throw 60-65mph and 800 rpm but I throw in the ground and sometimes overturn the disc. I mainly forehand Rives and Felons but have recently been working with my Judges to get some more control. Max distance is 403ft

Rive was my go to forehand for a while. And I love felons for 250_300. But I can turn them over too because I try and fight the stability. Throwing neutral allows you to be more fluid with your throw

I currently am playing baseball in college and my forehand is upwards of 500-520 with using a 2023 tour series nuke which is a understable run of nukes

Well this video came a few days late for our Scrapyard round😂. Jk. But maybe 150-200ft for a good forehand for me, definetley something to dial in this year. Dont need over 250 very often for the courses I play, and I do enjoy backhand turnovers!
