@@SoHBetaSword I don't know Aaron's age or the details of his childhood, but not everyone grew up watching "Star Trek." When I was a kid, before TNG and a slew of Trek shows, it was considered "nerdy" to be a "Trekkie"... and "nerds" were not thought of as highly before the world wide web and smartphones... Just sayin'. YMMV.
Speaking of Star Trek, it occurred to me that it would be fun to build a really small ship, all painted black, and give it a projector that projects a hologram of a significantly larger battleship. Have it fly around under the name "The Flying Dutchman".

2:45 Im pretty sure, from Starfleet color-coding, that the mystery antenna at the bottom of the station is part of the Transporter array. On starships, they're usually a sort of almost corrugated panel looking thing, kinda like Phaser strips, but colored this yellow-beige color. Since this is an orbital station that would need to Transport possibly hundreds of people every minute, I could see it needing something beefier.
This station would make for an amazing battle!, especially since it's big enough for something like a pilotable mech, like Mass Effect 3 Atlas mechs, or some sort of small vehicles. I don't usually watch the multiplayer fights, but I'd watch that!
Just loaded this up and explored. This thing is incredible, amazing design work, and SO great for roleplaying (RP). I would change a few things though - mainly about taking RP elements and making them actually useful and functional in the way they are pretending to be. For example, there are multiple levels in main engineering, but no real reason to go up or down to them. I would put control panels there that really do handle different aspects of the power systems, so you have a reason to go to every part. All that hidden area below with cargo containers and refineries, I would turn into usable space that is actually supposed to be a factory and warehouse level. The station also needs weapons to defend itself. Other areas, like the communications room (that cleverly looks onto the antenna in a windowed area) I would put a control panel in there that really does operate the various antenna, laser antenna, beacons, and such. Things like that. Then you have a lot of empty unused space in the dome section on top. I would add in a botanical garden, research/science lab, and astrometrics. The spires on the top and bottom I would add beacons, antennas, laser antenna, and turrets to, in order to give some reason for their existence than just aesthetics.
Apparently, it was on my side. If anyone has audio issues on youtube, just close the app and reopen it or alternatively try closing the video and opening it again. And i want to ask, but how laggy would it be to crash 2 venators into 2 of those stations if they are side by side? Asking for a friend (Addition: Can you please pin this so people can read the solution to the client side audio problem?)
So this is the type of starbase I'm looking for. However, I already have Starbase 98 from the workshop and I wish it looked like this on the exterior, but I love the Starbase 98 interior. I'm just bummed out that there's only elevator shafts and no elevator to take you up and down. I did make a 5 story building with pistons and a working elevator and everything on the planet.

one of those bars (the one with the darker/reddish lighting) was a Klingon restaurant
LSG totally skipped the signs lol, that would help with his questions.
I only spent days working on those directory signs 😭

Given the size of a venater even 2 of them individually I'm guessing it will slice it in half
