Ilja Dragunov , Bron Breakker & Sami Zayn are the only 3 wrestlers by far defeated Gunther in singles match
This makes sense why wwe are taking care of bron, making sure they lead him right and not push things too far

Gunther already have that classic wrestler vibe that really comes from a time where the King of the Ring was in its most prestige so that, combining with his sheer "aura" of a historic champion is pretty much the only valid option to make this tournament feels like an main event thing once again.
yup. also having a Bloodline Member be King that is no Roman Reigns will likely down the Crown even more. Just have Gunther win this against Randy Orton in a 20 - 30 Minute All Time Classic and have Gunther Elevate the shit out of the crown
Yeah Bron beating Gunther on a regular episode of NXT was weird, this match is like a PLE level match. Gunther vs IIja is gonna feed families when it eventually happens
I bet they wouldnt even consider Brons win against Gunther as "canon". Because WWE and the Hardcore fans all know, that Gunthers defeat to Breakker on NXT was just a bad fcking booking decision. The Match shouldnt have happened, Both were too great to feed them to eachother on NXT

Gunther vs IIja in a rematch at PLE is gonna hit different, It will be a cool throwback to their first match now that Gunther will be more inclined to beat him following his lose aganist IIja at their previous encounter.
The fact he's only lost 3 1v1 matches and 2 of them are via submission or pinfall is insane. Pretty sure with the Drew thing it was his idea or he was alright with it considering he apparently isn't too big of a fan of the elimination tag matches or at least the ones where it's 4v4 or more

I totally agree - if your storyline is hot, let it cook don't waste tittle on it coz it's already hot anyway - use your title to make other stuff and other people hot or give then the profile they actually deserve. Wasting a title (and a record like Gunther's) on an already cooking storyline like the bloodline is pointless, use it to give Gunther the position it deserves and also elevate the title to something actually meaningful.
Gunther said he didn't want to be in the Main Roster if Vince was still in charge and that first loss shows it. Vince would probably make him some sort of jobber like he did with Kozlov in the next few years. Hunter knows the business more than anybody, and I'm glad he's starting to become a more likeable CCO not just by the fans, but by the superstars and staff.
Gunther to me is like the new Batista. That powerbomb finisher and his dominance in WWE. Both held longest reigns on certain titles (666 days for Gunther on the Intercontinental Championship and 282 days for Batista on the original World Heavyweight Championship). Both were a part of dominant stables in WWE (Gunther in Imperium and Batista in Evolution).
Gunther wins the king of the ring tournament. Then he wins the tag team championship with Ludwig Kaiser and make the tag team championship prestigious again.

You’re wrong. The loss to Bron Breakker wasn’t meaningless, it was for the NXT title and it was Gunther putting Breakker over before moving up to the main roster just like Dragunov just did for Trick Williams.
Remember, Bron Breakker was NXT champion when he beat Gunther. If Gunther won that, everything would have changed (well, unless he went to SmackDowm afterward, like in our timeline). It was still a dumb booking decision, though. Either have a DQ finish or don't have the match at all.

I think Giovanni Vinci could cost Gunther against Jey Uso in King of the Ring. Tama Tonga defeats Randy Orton thanks to Bloodline interference. Then either Jey Uso or Tama Tonga win King of the Ring and go on to Challenge either Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes for the Belt.
Gunther is a Future World Champion no doubt but he can afford go a year or two without the World Title especially since there are far more deserving Wrestlers in WWE right now such as Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and LA Knight and him winning the Belt shouldn't cost them a longer reign with the belt. If the plan is for Cody Rhodes to face The Rock at Next Year's WrestleMania then I'd have Cody hold the belt for about 2 years and have Gunther win the 2026 Royal Rumble beating Cody Rhodes for the Belt. Gunther does not need to be immediately thrust into the World Title scene.

Sorry guys but jey Vs Tama makes more sense. Cause let's see jey Vs Tama is a part of a bloodline story which jey wanted to avoid for such a long time but it comes to him. Now he have to fight bloodline. And as soon as he is going to win on his own jacob debuts and costs him the match. From that jey wants to take everything from the bloodline but cannot because of the numbers and then reunites with Jimmy but still cannot and then Roman returns

Just a couple of days ago some people asked if Jey Uso is overrated, I don´t think so but he sure doesn´t need the push he is getting right now, he was great for the bloodline but as this is going i feel his single push is going to feel stale unless they try to reignite a conflict with the bloodline, they could book Jey vs Tama Tonga in the Finals, but i don't want to see Jey beating Gunther clean on a tournament, it was already hard to believe Jey beating Ilya, they have to create an out

Jey Uso is NOT beating GUNTHER. GUNTHER is winning KOR and getting a title shot at Bash in Berlin August 31st. Now, whether that us for the WHC or WWE Universal, that is still a mystery.
Jey was never winning the IC title either on that episodeif Raw. That report was complete nonsense and has been proven false. Cannot believe people are still taking these nonsensical reports and running with them.

Sorry but I don't think there's not even one superstar on the wwe roster that can defeat Randy Orton at the stage he is now. Question is that if Gunther can defeat 2009 Randy Orton then he got a change to defeat Randy Orton but not a good change.
Randy Orton is the strongest superstar in the wwe roster, he can defeat Roman Reigns, Solo, Jey, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.

I mean I see where you're coming from but you have to realise that the bloodline story is still the biggest thing in wrestling and if they want jey uso involved I feel like as much as I think it shouldn't happen and I'm A jey uso fan Gunter is probably going to lose Monday and Jey is going to challenge tama tanga at king and queen of the ring next Saturday and potentially win the tournament now I don't mind if Jey wins the thing because I think he needs a big win to solidify his single run but on the other hand I see where you're coming from with Gunther so I suppose we'll see what happens Monday but it doesn't look well for Gunther so if he loses let's just say not everyone is going to be happy and some people are going to be a bit disappointed but you also have to remember that they did bring up that jey had Gunther beat and he would have beaten him if it wasn't for Jimmy so I don't want to say it but I feel like Gunther is losing Monday but again we'll see
